I chose not to go to the dealer anymore as I found out that I was being charged significantly too much. I did a search for auto repair shops near me and found Stolze's. They had excellent reviews, so I called for an appointment and was pleased that they could get me in the next day. I take brakes very seriously and was prepared for a big expense. Fortunately, the technician told me that the brakes were not as bad as I feared and the cost was less than I expected. They completed the service promptly and the cost was right on track with the quote they gave me. The staff was very friendly and made me feel that they genuinely cared about me. It's hard to find this kind of commitment to service with today's big box stores. I feel they took good care of me, charged fair prices with no surprises, and therefore, I will be taking my car there for service from now on. I had a problem with a tire and I was a bit concerned (I have fairly unusual tires that are difficult to find). They took it, diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes and it turned out to be something very minor. While I was there I had them do some routine maintenance (oil change, air filter, tire rotation, etc.). I was in and out in about 90 minutes and the price was very reasonable. The seem like good, honorable mechanics. Also, their online appointment system worked flawlessly. I set a time, they offered a different time (just two hours later), they confirmed by text and email and were ready and waiting for me when I arrived. So often those online/electronic systems do not work. This was terrific. I will be back.
