I first came to Heladeria Dylan in 2019. I had been to several other ice cream stores in San Telmo…read moreand throughout Argentina before then and they were all (mostly) very good. As soon as I tested this ice cream, I knew is great and I ordered a kilo. It is amazing! Favorites: Menta Granizada (chocolate chip mint), Lemon Pie and their Chocolate Amagro. Of course, I have not tried them all, but the lemon sorbet is top notch also. I have to avoid going there too often and, when I do, I have to put in a small dish. My fear is that I will eat out of the container and finish it all.

Could this be the best helado in San Telmo?…read more Across the board, the helado here was the best I tried in Buenos Aires - texture wasn't at all soft/foamy/icy, flavors were all there. We ended up getting: - Dulce de leche - Coco de dulce de leche - Irish cream - Sambayon with maraschino cherries Don't miss the first two: The classic dulce de leche was better than the versions at any of the many heladerias I visited. The coco de dulce was a really lovely twist, with bits of coconut and no artificial coconut flavor. The interior is very clean, almost disturbingly sleek. The staff didn't act like they'd rather be probed by aliens than selling ice cream (see: Sumo, Nonna Bianca). Worth a visit? Yes! But good luck catching them when they're actually open (visiting during winter, when area ice cream shops are only open a few hours a day, a few days a week, doesn't help).
