    3 flavors of ice cream
    Anthony C.

The ice cream is made fresh, the flavors are to dye for (you can sample different flavors before choosing). I chose a Mint Chocolate chip, Chocolate Amaga, and a raspberries fruit flavor for my container. Price was $8000 pesos but I paid cash so I received 15% off. They offer inside and outside seating to enjoy your ice cream or to go.

Muy buena heladería, los sabores son copados y muy ricos! Very good ice cream shop, the flavors are delicious!

The Location: It is located in Palermo soho, in the corner of Armenia and Guatemala. The location is relatively safe, and it is a touristy area. The People: Good staff. The Flavors: - Sambayón: It was my first time trying it and not a fan of it--could just be my taste buds. - Crema Oreo: This was one of the best Oreo ice-creams I've had, I definitely recommend this one. - Granizado: It is good but there are other ice-cream shops with better ones. - Crema de Avellanas: A solid option. Probably my second favorite flavor right now. - NOTE: Will try more flavors soon. The Venue: A really nice ice-cream place. It has several outdoor spots to sit, and also two floors inside. Lots of space, they also have cakes and other treats. Upshot: A little bit pricier than other ice-cream shops around it, but it is good quality ice-cream, I think it is definitely worth a try.

This is the best ice cream in BA. Ok I only tried four spots, but this was easily the best and some of the best ice cream I've had in a while. The lemon pie was amazing. Creamy, light, lemony, perfect. The maracuya was also really good, although it was a little subtle with the passionfruit flavor. The texture of this ice cream is so good I'm drooling thinking about it. Also had the dark chocolate and oreo cream in a cone, which was amazing. Both flavors were rich and delicious, the dark chocolate kinda overpowered the cone but I was ok with it. Price is decent, about $5 per medium sized cup/cone

I love this place!!! Definitely the best ice cream in Buenos Aires! First- the flavors, they always have nice verity to choose from, and it's hard believe me! You see it all in front of you, you can try obviously, but they are all too good!! Second- the service, these guys are nice!! Nicer than anywhere else in Buenos Aires for my opinion. Last, the To Go-it stays creamy the next day! Unlike most ice creams, that gets kinda hard, this o e stays creamy and delicious... Tip- get the kinder bueno!!!

If you love ice cream it's a must stop very creamy and I like how they have a wide range of flavors, they also had a great cafe bar for those who want caffeine. Nice seating area to chill out, they have wifi for free. You can just chill out and enjoy ice cream and coffee all day if you wish.

The ice cream was incredible. I'd recommend the Chocolate con Narajana! Tastes exactly like chocolate covered orange slices!

And have for 40 years. Ice cream Spanish is fairly straightforward. At Helados Italia I was suddenly transformed into one of those situations like Jack Nicholson in Five Easy Pieces. I wanted one scoop of pistachio ice cream in a cup, not a cone. Sounds simple but apparently the rules at Helados Italia do not allow it. You can get one scoop in a small cone. Or you can get a cup filled to the brim with ice cream -- about 0.25 l, way more than I wanted. But you cannot get one scoop in a cup. I'll spare you all the details but I may have written a new chapter in the voluminous book of Americans making a scene in a foreign country as I explained that I want one scoop -- una bolita, una bucha -- in a cup and the very frustrated young woman told me that was against the rules. I ended getting ice cream in a cone which ran all over my hand as I ate it. Ugh. That said, the pistachio ice cream at Helados Italia was fabulous.

That being the case, I wasn't very impressed by the classic dulce de leche flavor. It was rich and sweet, a little too soft, but mostly just didn't have enough dulce de leche smokiness. Some of their other flavors were excellent. Try the Tramontana - with streaks of dulce de leche in a vanilla base, and chocolate-covered biscuit balls the size of almonds scattered throughout. I rarely go for fruity flavors, but the Merengatta was also terrific, extremely creamy (could it be mascarpone-based?) and swirled with fresh, bright-tasting strawberry. The doorknob to the ground floor restroom had broken off, so I felt like I was going to fall to my death when going up the spiral staircase to the other restrooms. Shoddy construction aside, the space is very bright and clean. Worth a visit? It shouldn't be first on your helado tour - especially considering that they're noticeably more expensive than other heladerias. But if you come across a Persicco branch while walking the city (and you probably will), definitely go in and try some of their signature flavors.
