Tufic was a welcome sight on a warm day. They offer many different gelato flavors and some fancier sundae and dipped bar options. I ordered the Passionfruit and Marscapone varieties. They were good, but just a tad too sweet. The consistency was good though. There was ample seating in the two story parlor, but it was a bit warm as if the air conditioning was having trouble keeping up. There were also TV screens playing the local news so it made for some fascinating watching. This place also had restrooms, which was a welcome sight after walking Palermo SoHo all afternoon. Tudor was a solid 4 star experience, but less sugar would help the flavors come through a little more. The restaurant itself was pretty nice too- great atmosphere albeit a little warm. read more

This is the best ice cream in BA. Ok I only tried four spots, but this was easily the best and some of the best ice cream I've had in a while. The lemon pie was amazing. Creamy, light, lemony, perfect. The maracuya was also really good, although it was a little subtle with the passionfruit flavor. The texture of this ice cream is so good I'm drooling thinking about it. Also had the dark chocolate and oreo cream in a cone, which was amazing. Yummy gelato in the Palermo neighborhood. Plenty of flavors to juice from, both fruity and bakery based flavors. I enjoyed the passionfruit (maracuyá) and dulce de leche. Heads up - the ordering system is different than in the States. FIRST you tell the cashier what size you want and pay him. The cashier hands you a receipt. THEN you hand the receipt to the person working behind the ice cream bar and tell him which flavors you want (and you can try the flavors of course). read more

I'm on vacation. In America we sample all the flavors we are curious about to decide which one we want. Here at this ice cream shop is different I think. You are allowed a limited amount of samples before they sarcastically ask you if you're going to sample everything and then rush you through the process but not before you pay. Honestly, I felt discriminated here. I left feeling disrespected. I don't feel good returning. Horrible experience. Rude people. Will not go back. I thankfully lived down the street from this wondrous sanctuary for years but was able to return last week during a visit. The Pomelo Rosado has always been my jam. I can't cheat on it no matter what. I had the Maracuya (passionfruit) and Pomelo Rosado (pink grapefruit) and it's just beyond. This corner gelato shop certainly doesn't disappoint, the other positive reviews were spot on. I have a passion for ice cream and gelato so I was excited to try this place. The guy working offered me free samples for any of the flavors and I chose the lemon pie and dulce de leche brownie. The lemon pie was so creamy and delicious, I've never had something better. The dulce de leche has more of a coffee flavor, probably because that's the more authentic taste rather than how it is made in the US. As I'm sitting here writing this review, a woman is walking by talking to her friends and telling them it is the best gelato around. So, you don't just have to take it from me! This is my favourite gelato place in Buenos Aires. I've been here for three weeks and I've been here often. I've tried the mint Granizada, Ferrero Rocher, Frutilla (strawberry), Banana Split, and Lemon Pie--they were all amazing! I've ordered 1 kg of gelato for takeout, as a present, and my porteña really enjoyed the gelato. Tufic also serves coffee and cakes--both look great. This place got recommended by a friend of mine who used to live in Buenos Aires for a year. The bar was set high because she loves chocolate and all kinds of sweets while I do not have much of a sweet tooth. Tufic did not disappoint. I loved the entire atmosphere - you could sit inside where it was comfortably chilled by the AC as well as taking a seat outside in one of the chairs and enjoy the sun. Best ice cream we've ever eaten, ever, in any city. So creamy, and the flavors are so deep. The lemon pie is to die for - it's the perfect combo of tangy and sweet/creamy and has little bits of magic (I don't know what it was but it was delicious). The grapefruit is quite different and yummy, but we loved the other three more. The last two we tried were the chocolate amargo (tastes like dark chocolate), and the super dulce de leche (delicious). Woah woah and woah, this place is so damn good. I went casually because I was just like "whatever I'm passing by and I feel like ice cream now". So, I went in and it's $50 pesos for a scoop in a small little thing and I got the Lemon Pie because I was in a light mood. DA F!!! This was exactly like key lime pie and it had graham cracker crumbs and everything in it. I couldn't get enough! I was so excited about eating it, I mean like I've been to other ice cream places in my life, but damn. This one was up there with the gelato Italy I had. Also, you may as well get the huge cone for $80 pesos because you get so much more. Anyways, so I went back a couple days later and got a huge lemon pie cone again and I also got the chocolate with almonds in it too and omg it was just so good. That was amazing too. I'm on my way back from Montevideo right now and I told my bf "I'm going there 3 more times before our flight home".
