My son is assigned a class dean & counselor that will stay with him until he graduates, they really get to know one another and can watch my son grow throughout the 4 yrs. It is large enough that each daughter is able to find her place academically, socially, spiritually, athletically and is able to develop a healthy sense of self. MB is unique in that the Quaker values provide a calming, quiet powerful start to their day and help to build a partnership with their teachers. Our world is changing fast and we feel that Moses Brown is focused on the world that our girls will thrive in bc of their experiences and problem solving skills. No school is perfect but from our experience we feel that MB partners with us as parents to help mentor our kids to be the best they can be, to help make the world around them a better place and to feel Confident in their abilities. It is a challenging school but large enough to accommodate different learning styles. When there are tough issues that arise the faculty addresses them immediately. I genuinely like all of the teachers at the school, including the Director Miss Kristin and assistant director Mr. Brent. I'm going to focus this review on the infant teachers because, as mom, I find myself most worrying about my baby. Since my daughter had already been in many of the classrooms when my son started, I was VERY confident that I was leaving my new baby in great hands when I had to return to work. The head teacher Miss Laura was the same head teacher than my daughter had so I was familiar and very comfortable with her. My son had colic during his first few months and a milk protein sensitivity. When I explained all of this to Miss Laura she listened carefully and that gave me reassurance that my son would be properly cared for. After about a week, one of the other infant teachers Miss Brianna, showed me a new way to hold my son that helped calm him down when he was colicky and in pain. My husband and I will forever refer to this as the "Brianna hold". All three teachers (Miss Laura, Miss Kailey, and Miss Brianna) show a personal connection with my son and my older daughter even though she isn't in their class. We have been working on teaching my son to crawl lately. By "we" I mean me, my husband, my daughter (she's a great big sister helper!), and all three teachers. Earlier this week, I saw a video that they took for me of my son Army crawling!! One of the special parts about this video, which they may not have even realized, was how involved and excited all three teachers were! One was holding the camera, one was on the ground and encouraging my son to reach and crawl for a toy, the other teacher was on the sidelines with another baby and cheering on my son. All three were giving him the encouragement he needed to work on this new skill! The Children's Workshop isn't just a day care. Even at this early age, TCW is an educational institution working with our children to help them grow to age appropriate milestones! We even get reports home each month explaining which milestones my son reached and what he goals are for the next month: holding his own bottle, feeding himself food, learning how to use utensils or a sippy cup, crawling, walking, waving, etc. These teachers aren't just "teachers". They are friends and caring adults who I trust completely to help my son grow mentally, physically, and emotionally!

We feel fortunate to have a place to bring our kids where they are safe and have fun. Teachers come and go, which can be frustrating, but it is somewhat expected in this industry, and we have always felt that the various teachers truly cared about our children. There was a period of high turnover where the director and assistant director left that we considered going elsewhere, but by the time we could get in anywhere, things settled down and the school got a new director. Since Jason has been at the helm, the school has never looked better and we have seen lots of improvements. We feel confident about the school under his leadership. The only other drawback about this school is the co$$$t, but it sure is nice not to have to pack a lunch or snacks which are included. I am always impressed with the arts and crafts done in the toddler rooms and also appreciate how often the children get out in the fresh air when possible. I have hundreds of adorable pics I have gotten in daily updates through the years but there were very few I could share while being mindful of privacy.

Kudos to Gordon for seeing an a opportunity to support kids athletics and make a little money! The school is nestled off a major road, in a suburban neighborhood. The facility is very clean with ample bathrooms (they have baby wipes and offer free lady products in the bathrooms!) The gymnasium is in great condition with bleachers. Being fluent in French opened up many exciting opportunities for her for college. She attended a prestigious French university for a very, very reasonable price (Sciences Po.) In fact, much of the money we spent on her elementary school French education was saved when she attended the French University. She now attends an Ivy in the USA. My grandson is carrying on this new family tradition by attending FASRI. I have been impressed with the quality of teachers and staff. They are professional, patient, and warm. My grandson is rapidly learning French. I feel incredibly lucky that there is such a high quality bilingual school near where my daughter is living. They also have something called "Passport." It is a program for older children who attend the school who do not have a background in French. It makes the transition to French much easier.

The parents tried to work together to fix this and this is when we began to realize that parents have absolutely no voice at this school. Kids were starting to get kicked out as soon as their parents began advocating for them. They lost 4 students in 3rd grade, then 1 in fourth and 2 more in 5th including us. Safety is a major issue at this school. There are no crossing guards at drop off and pick up, the traffic is a nightmare by the school and there is no assistance getting in and out. Our daughter was almost hit by cars many times and the principal refused to address this. There is no security at recess and the school is in a very dangerous area. A stranger was permitted to approach the children at recess. Bullying is permitted and honestly enabled. The same child bullied multiple students including our daughter and still remains at the school. The school uses pictures of disabled students to promote and raise money while pretending to be inclusive. The school consistently breaks their own guidelines/rules and refuses to adhere to state mandates and guidelines. They accepted government funding for meals during Covid and then only handed out a small portion of the food, pocketing the rest of the funds. The teachers and head of school were aware but chose to do nothing. While there are a few good teachers at this school it is a corrupt and dangerous place with incompetent people in power.
