It is large enough that each daughter is able to find her place academically, socially, spiritually, athletically and is able to develop a healthy sense of self. MB is unique in that the Quaker values provide a calming, quiet powerful start to their day and help to build a partnership with their teachers. Our world is changing fast and we feel that Moses Brown is focused on the world that our girls will thrive in bc of their experiences and problem solving skills. No school is perfect but from our experience we feel that MB partners with us as parents to help mentor our kids to be the best they can be, to help make the world around them a better place and to feel Confident in their abilities. It is a challenging school but large enough to accommodate different learning styles. When there are tough issues that arise the faculty addresses them immediately. Our family is active at the school because we believe in the MB mission and feel blessed to be a part of the welcoming community.

With a school founder who was recognized in New England and abroad in the late 1800s for being among the first American educators to incorporate Art into her primary and secondary curricula, Wheeler sees the Visual and Performing Arts as part of its very DNA. The concert hall is a 400-seat auditorium that is easily accessible from many areas of the Wheeler School campus. Great place, great venue.

Trying to contact people during the summer months is somewhat painstaking, and the staff who greeed me at the door have the same warmth as the secretary character in Monster's Inc, Roz. If you have to go upstairs to the Special Ed department, know that you are once again greeted with an unwarm hello. For parents of a young child, just entering school, I was completely turned off. We were recommended to go there for a somewhat sensitive evaluation, and I ended up just feeling like I was a bother to most of the staff. The building is old and not welcoming, the staff seemed incredibly disorganized (they messed up my appointment) and we left our appointment thinking that we might not want to continue doing any schooling through PVD.

this is the worst school in providence. the lunch food is NASTY so i told my dad to bring me food…read morefor lunch. they didn't let him in the school. i went to get my food and the principal took it away and told me i would get back in lunch. i went back to his office during lunch m he refused to even leave his office to give me the food or to even tell me he was going to give me it. he didn't have the balls to tell me i wouldn't get the food i wasted my money on back. i went again after school to get it. the food wouldn't have been good cause the bread would've been soggy. he refused to give it to me again. i know he ate my sandwich. it was a cubano w jugo de chinolla. i hate the school and hate the principal.

Staff is calm patient and flexible which really is a must for summer camp. Lincoln is more individualized and quaint in comparison to some of the big name summer camp machines in the area. When they say there's yoga each week, it's not a yoga video but actually a yoga instructor that visits. Cooking class happens every week with a chef. Save the Bay comes, A Gizmos and Gadgets STEM instructor gives a lesson every week which my boys get super psyched about. There's a lot of time spent outdoors exploring which is how summer camp should be. Lincoln hits all the bases. My 5yo gets overwhelmed in large groups but at Lincoln teachers like Ms Mac take the time to really get to know them - They notice when kiddos are feeling lost and they bring them back into the group effortlessly. You can tell Ms Mac actually really wants to be there and my children feel that. I can't recommend Lincoln enough. If my boys were girls, they'd be attending Lincoln throughout the school year. The little ones get experience with music time and arts and crafts. As parents we get regular blog updates with pictures of our children so we can see them playing, learning and growing. 100% recommend this place for anyone with a baby who needs childcare. Kudos to Gordon for seeing an a opportunity to support kids athletics and make a little money! The school is nestled off a major road, in a suburban neighborhood. Not a large parking lot, but enough spots that we require. Cute little playground. The facility is very clean with ample bathrooms (they have baby wipes and offer free lady products in the bathrooms!) The gymnasium is in great condition with bleachers. Great space for your kids to practice.
