Our daughter attended this school for part of 5th grade through the beginning of 6th. In the…read morebeginning there were some positive things that were helpful after coming from a school that was run more like a corporation. It seemed more like a community. There were some red flags however, right from the beginning that we should have paid closer attention to. They described graphically violent deaths to children kindergarten and up. From burning people alive to ripping out eyeballs. Later it became much worse. Extreme sexism with a strong focus on the purity of girls. Girls were not only told how to shop for clothes but also to forgive rape and murder. Children were called sinners so often I believe this is why the majority of students were dishonest (lying and having secret TikTok accounts etc) and unfriendly. Not all students of course, but our child was exposed to more in this school than ever expected at such a young age. We volunteered to run the cross country team, my husband the coach, and not one time did the pastor or principal show up to a meet. The principal puts on a great show. He appears kind, genuine, agreeable. This is either a show or he has absolutely no say in the curriculum. The puberty article was taken from an anti abortion site. The Catholic religion is made out to be evil rather than focusing on the good. Never in my life did I think I would have to discuss rape, brutality/torture and sin in regard to my 11 year old child with her teachers and faculty. The principal told us the board has no control and the superintendent of Catholic schools sat in silence during the meeting. We left as soon as we realized no change would take place. I think if parents took the time to read what was being taught in the virtues in practice, they would leave as well. Blaming women for rape and teaching children violence is simply unforgivable.

Kudos to Gordon for seeing an a opportunity to support kids athletics and make a little money! The school is nestled off a major road, in a suburban neighborhood. Not a large parking lot, but enough spots that we require. Cute little playground. The facility is very clean with ample bathrooms (they have baby wipes and offer free lady products in the bathrooms!) The gymnasium is in great condition with bleachers.
