However, on the wedding day, the flowers and bouquets that were delivered were NOT the flowers that had been discussed for months leading up to the big day. Our color scheme was whites and blues, but on wedding day, we were given purple flowers and zero blue hydrangeas within the bouquets and decorative pieces. The arrangements were beautiful, but not the color scheme we asked for and talked about which was very disappointing. In addition, I collected bud vases (to match my style) to use as centerpieces. There are multiple back-and-forth conversations with Charmaine about the quantity of vases she thought I would need for each table, and that I was thrifting my own. The team took it upon themselves to switch out mine for their own without consulting me first - on the morning of our wedding! I received a text message from Charmaine after her team had already left the venue, as I was getting my hair and makeup done, of the changes her team decided upon without speaking to me first. Because of this, my bridesmaids and my venue had to take extra time to switch things back to the way we had originally set them up - taking away time for my girls to get ready, and adding unnecessary stress to us all. Although the centerpieces could be switched back, there was nothing any of us could do about the fact that we had the wrong flowers. I reached out to Charmaine after my wedding to let her know that while her flowers were beautiful, they were not what we spoke about and I was disappointed with the result - I have not gotten a response back.

The order was placed via a popular on-line flower company, and fulfilled by a florist in Mattydale, NY. The flowers received from that Mattydale Florist were dead in just a few days. Here comes Affections Floral to the rescue. They are part of Debrucque Greenhouses in Canastota, NY. The Mattydale florist wouldn't stand behind their product, so the online flower company hired Affections to redeliver the order. The flowers Affections brought were incredible. Not only did they look fresher, the arrangement was very nice. The Mattydale flowers were effectively 100 roses in a small vase, with no "flair". The Affections order had nice greens, holly flowers for Christmas, and even a nice big bow on it. The Affections flowers made a huge statement - which is just what I was looking for for our anniversary. I would definitely do business with them again.

He had a handful of props on a table and a big clear box full of props in clear sight. Everyone asked about the box. He informed everyone that the props were off limits. So I don't understand why he brought the box inside the restaurant. Later a guest came up to me and showed me a photo strip. The date of our was written for November 25th, four days in the future. When confronted by the guest, the attendant said he didn't know the date and that there wasn't anything he could do about it. Finally, when I called to complain, I didn't receive an apology. I had to listen about how sick with cancer the owner was. The representative then told me that she couldn't go back in time and fix the problem. It ended with no offer refund any portion of the $700 it cost, just a promise to call in a couple days.

Unfortunately for us your company was providing all the pictures for the wedding and I did not have a back up since I had spoken to you numerous times and again Friday night before the wedding and was reassured that everything was set and there was "no worries." I don't know what kind of business doesn't have insurance on their vehicles that they use for transporting photo booths and why there wasn't a back up vehicle sent. That option wasn't even presented by you or your company, actually there was no other options presented to me by your company. All you told me on your voicemail was you got pulled over but everything was fine and you were on your way. That was about 2:45pm on Saturday 6-23-18 and in your voicemail you said you'd be at the venue by 3:15. I finally called you around 4:30 to see what was going on and you told me that the "cop had towed your car b/c you didn't have insurance but that you had insurance since the 18th of June but it didn't go thru the system. You then proceeded to tell me that the cop dropped you off at gas station in New Berlin and you weren't able to make it. I wasn't offered any remedies or asked to come the 10-15 minute drive to pick you and the photo booth up which could have been arranged. You just kept going on about the insurance and how the cop wouldn't let you drive. I'm sorry that happened to you but I'm more sorry for my daughter who had a wedding without photos. Yes, it's definitely the Int'l Boxing Hall of Fame and I'm surprised they don't have (+ Museum) attached at the end! It is actually two parts: one big building which has the gift shop and the old Madison Square Garden boxing rink (which was donated to the place in 2000s). The smaller building houses three rooms, one mostly focused on the Hall of Fame inductees, plus some cool, very retro memorabilia such as old books from the 19th century about boxing. It's interesting to know that boxing has been around for centuries and somehow someone was taking notes and records on who were the greats during the older times. I've heard of all the boxers that everyone else has heard of, like Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield and a couple others. Of course, they're all enshrined. Even Sylvester Stallone, who wasn't really a pro boxer - just helped popularize it - is in the Hall of Fame! The other two rooms have memorabilia dating back to at least 1900. Lots of cool retro posters, bronze fists that are meant to look like other boxers, etc. A different but great experience, regardless of how much you care about boxing. Apparently the greats think it's a big deal...Tyson and Stallone have both been here!

He announced mother and father of the bride and groom and the rest of the wedding party and then he announced us by just our names which was pretty lackluster in comparison. Just because I didn't take my husband's last name, it doesn't mean that we aren't married. It doesn't mean that we aren't husband and wife. He could have said "now, as husband and wife, Kristen and Aaron!" There was also a misunderstanding when I asked him not to play too many slow songs. He took this to mean no slow songs. TECHNICALLY 0 slow songs is not too many but I wished he had asked what I meant if he was confused. I didn't realize until the end that no slow songs had played. We would have liked 2 or 3. I guess this is partially my fault for not being clearer. He did the ceremony and provided us with microphones at no extra cost, but it doesn't change the fact that he ended our once in a lifetime wedding day early. He said he would never end a wedding without the bride and groom's permission, yet he ended ours early. I promise with every fiber of my being that we would never ask to end our wedding early. After he announced that it was the last song at 9:42, I turned to my husband in front of the DJ booth and said "wait, don't we have him until 10?" DJ Carl suggested that I should have said something to him in the moment while it was happening. I shouldn't have to beg the DJ to stay for the full contracted time that we both signed and agreed to. We already had a million things to worry about that day and I didn't want the confrontation. We didn't want an argument on our wedding day and he had already announced that it was the last song. We waited a year to review because we had just had our wedding and we wanted to take a break from wedding stress and then family things came up and job changes and we were busy for so long. I remembered after our anniversary when we were reflecting on everything. I wish we got the experience that other reviewers got and I'm not sure why we didn't. Did he just not like us? We treated him with nothing but kindness and respect throughout the process and paid for his plate of food and his drinks so that he wouldn't be hungry or thirsty. TRUST ME when I say that we were both VERY aware that he ended the wedding early when it was happening but we didn't want the confrontation because we're both terrified of it. Trust me when I say that we would never forfeit a single minute with our loved ones on our wedding day. What hurts the most him ending our wedding early without our permission is that we can never do that day over. We will never get that day back. We would like 15 minutes more of dancing, laughing, and holding our loved ones on our wedding day. We would be crazy not to.
