Yvette is very rude and I felt I was being lied to about the dog I was wanting to adopt. I filled…read moreout the application and communicated my interest. After meeting up with Yvette I was given 8 hours to make my decision. I asked if I could see Nachos vet records with no reply. That was already a red flag. I took a day to think and I was ready to adopt. Yvette said he was no longer available, however he remained on the website. When I mentioned this she did not respond. I showed up to the adoption event the next week and there he was!! I feel if they truly cared about the animals they would be accommodating and work harder to rehome. Overall, I believe Lost Paws is running a sketchy business. The whole interaction with Yvette was very off putting. My heart breaks for Nacho as I was ready to adopt and give him a great new home and all the love!!

I contacted this "rescue" about a dog we were interested in for our daughter. She responded to my…read morefirst email and claimed the dog we were interested in had a family coming to look at him. However, he remained on their website. I contacted them again and was ignored. My daughter went to their rescue event at Petsmart that weekend and the dog was there for adoption. My daughter inquired about adopting the dog and she was totally ignored and was never contacted about the adoption. In fact, the owner blocked her. I have no idea what her issue was. I feel if she actually cared about the animals, she would do everything possible to get her dogs adopted. We are dog people. My daughter showed dogs in 4-h. We have always had dogs. It's just crazy how this woman is treating potential customers because we're not her first bad review. It makes me question her motives.

I really don't understand these negative reviews. This is the best shelter I've ever been to. After…read morereading the negative reviews it sounds like maybe their protocol wasn't communicated or maybe understood effectively. This shelter houses their animals in the most humane way I've ever seen. They also were incredibly informative about each dog I inquired about to ensure I found the best match possible. I spent about an hour waking through, asking questions, playing with the ones I was looking at in their awesome outside play pins to find the one I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with my new fur baby and this shelter and their employees for making sure I had all of the info possible to make the best choice! Myself and this little girl were so happy to have found each other! They even made sure she had toys a harness and leash to go home with! Thank you PAS! Y'all were amazing! I appreciate what y'all do and how y'all do it! Keep it up! All of you are doing an amazing job!

If I could leave a zero-star review, I would. I want to spread awareness: Plano Animal Services…read morekilled my dog, Bella. Bella was a 12-year-old German Shepherd. She ran away from home and ended up in the shelter for about a week. Because of whatever policies Plano has, they spayed her. Bella was 11, and it is incredibly high-risk to alter dogs at that age. Because of that decision, a few weeks later, Bella developed cancer. We took her to the vet to get checked out, and they told us how much the cancer treatment would cost. They also confirmed that when you spay older dogs like this, they are at a very high risk of developing cancer. Ultimately, she died. I had to put her down because she was in so much pain. Mark my words, Plano Animal Services, karma will come for you. May Bella rest in peace. I will never forgive y'all. Bella was healthy. She was my childhood dog, and I had her ever since I was almost 7 years old. Now, I am crossing the stage for my high school graduation today without her here--she is just watching over me instead.
