If you're searching for the best pet sitter in Dallas, look no further…read more I just moved from Boston, MA to Uptown with my boyfriend and our beloved cat-child, Princess --- she's a completely indoor kitty with door-hanging and (attempted) door-darting tendencies, so my criteria for a caretaker is very specific. Most of the reviews for sitting companies down here were filled with lots of comments about dog sitting/walking but until I came across Society's Yelp page, I had not seen anyone with cat commendations. I reached out to Society immediately after scouring this site and Facebook. I believe I got a reply within the hour, but definitely the same-day! The office staff is responsive, kind, welcoming and overall, just great. Their online scheduling and billing is helpful and convenient. Society set up a meet and greet for us with our assigned sitter and a back-up, for schedule conflicts or other issues. All of this was a fantastic start but what really wowed us was our assigned sitter and how she handled my crazy-cat-mom requests while we were away. Priscilla is an incredible and loving caretaker. I gave her an insane amount of detail and bizarre instructions in our initial meeting. She repeated and noted all of my requests in her notepad, so I immediately felt confident in her level of service. Her superstardom became obvious when we had to leave Princess for 6 nights in January. We were advised of work being done to the exterior of our building just a day before we left, and while we were gone. I was a wreck, but Priscilla sent pictures, videos, information about the work and any workers near our unit. As requested, she'd let me know she waited until the garage door completely closed before she left because we have an issue with it "bouncing" or getting almost all the way to the bottom and then opening again. She brought some packages that were delivered while we were away, inside, without me asking. She would always let me know that Princess stayed upstairs and was playing with a mouse-toy when she left and locked up. After each visit, I felt so much better knowing that Prin was doing well and that Priscilla had been so diligent to keep her away from the doors/outside and also to secure our home. We have a couple baby-cam's set up so we can log in to see how Princess is doing when she's got large gaps between visits and one night, we heard a horrible noise. Turns out, the security alarm was beeping loudly -- for no apparent reason. I texted Priscilla in the morning and asked if she could stop by, unplanned and as soon as possible. She made it to the apartment in just a couple of hours and was able to disable the alarm box and sound. Priscilla truly went above and beyond. After that day and because we were gone so long, I actually scheduled Priscilla to do daily visits for the remainder of our trip. Priscilla and Society care for my cat like she's their own and I really cannot thank them for the peace of mind I have knowing I can leave and have responsibly, caring and extraordinary caretakers available to me. Priscilla will be making her third round with Princess in just a couple weeks! Thanks Priscilla and Society! I cannot thank you enough!

ALSO I said that I would be OKAY with waiting until it is two years old and she told me that she doesn't trust me. -- Excuse me? haha - FIRST of all we are in there trying to RESCUE a dog because it's better for the dog versus support some BREEDER and just BUY a Doberman PUPPY. Which I Then would STILL wait 2 years to run with it because I'm caring, kind, and not incompetent. - It doesn't make any sense to be rude to or make it difficult for a family to a Adopt a rescue -- especially when we could easily just go out and buy one and not be told that We aren't allowed to get one under two years old. - Don't act like you are doing ME a FAVOR and I'm stressing you out by showing up to view and rescue one of The dogs. We are trying to help you guys and help and care for a dog. You guys preach how you need people who can give that breed enough exercise and exhaust it and not just keep it in a small house -- YET you tell someone who is athletic that they can't have a young dog because you don't trust them. - Everyone there was amazing EXCEPT the foreign lady with freckles who lacks common sense & people skills. ----------------------------------------------- UPDATE It has been one week exactly from the previous review (above) I'd like to share that this Rescue Organization is great and I never thought otherwise. The ONLY unprofessional and ill-mannered person was and Continues to be the lady i mentioned previously. She repeatedly Smirks while talking condescendingly over her shoulder as she Walks away from you. (She Was even called rude and told to go away by a different volunteer.) She continues to approach me later while me and a different volunteer are talking. There she waves a treat in front of the dog im viewing to adopt & throws a treat to it(which of course the dog then eats the treat). And tells me how I'm "unfit" to adopt that dog because it abruptly got up to eat the treat and "clearly has issues they don't believe I can handle"......... That's all I will say about that because even with her poor attempt to discourage me, my experience here was still great. - Today was the second time we went to view dogs at this Rescue and everyone (most) was amazing. The volunteers are both Helpful and knowledgeable. - If you are looking to adopt here it is important to know that some or even most of these dogs have been through a lot and it will take more effort and attention to care for these dogs as opposed to another dog or breed. (Which I was prepared for). The volunteers and owners of this organization make it a high priority to pair their dogs with, and only with, an appropriate/capable owner and home. - Julie is amazing and they actually have several different species of rescues there including a ZEBRA, horses, a pig etc. Clearly they are passionate about their animals and I admire that. - The Highlight of this is that we were able to leave with a beautiful addition to our family, Rigel! He loves playing, running, cuddling even too. I am thankful for Bruce, Julie and the organization for helping me.

My daughter and I went to the Fort Worth animal shelter and fell in love with a beautiful Doberman. We were informed her adoption fee was $0 (keep this in mind) and that she was heartworm positive. Despite this obstacle, my family decided that she would be a great fit and that we could work through any health issues she may have. On our way inside from the play yard to complete adoption paperwork, she had been "tagged for rescue". Despite having her with us and wanting to complete adoption paperwork, rescues trump individual adopters. Unfortunately, there was nothing the shelter could do so I left my contact information in hopes the rescue would reach out and my daughter left in tears. I kept a watch on all of the rescue pages until I found her. To my dismay, not only had I not heard from the rescue and had to submit an inquiry myself, but she was now listed for $450. That is a vast difference from the original fee of $0, especially when the shelter covers any medication she needs prior to adoption. Currently there are three other Dobermans sitting at the shelter (not good fits for my family for other reasons) so it kind of looks like this rescue cherry picks who they deem "savable" and profitable. This is very disheartening because I genuinely believe most rescues have good intentions, but this is clearly not the issue here. I think the whole situation is crappy and has definitely put a bad taste in mine and everyone else's mouth I have informed. I have since rescued another Doberman and she is the best girl. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and although my situation worked out, I feel as if this information needs to be shared.

The in-office care was amazing. They were so gentle and sweet with my little guy and gave him time to adjust to everything, plenty of treats, and a very clean cat tree to play with!! They gave me a goody bag with toys and snacks for him, and when I told them he has a sister they gave me two of everything to take home to her too (fully plan on taking her when I can!). I didn't even ask and don't think I insinuated anything; I'd mentioned his sister once maybe 20-30 minutes before they gave me the goody bag. They also have some human treats that aren't just burnt coffee and random, haphazardly placed snacks. Since then, I've received coupons for his birthday and they just sent me a painted portrait based on his profile pic. I have nothing but kind words for the people here. They treated my cat even better than I could've asked for, and he is the most spoiled little brat I know (and I love him for it). I HIGHLY recommend this location, you are 100% going to get what you pay for and even more imo. We worked a patient plan with my dog, and I worked the plan. Bringing many years of happiness into my family. I do not hesitate to give my recommendation to Animal Hospital of Park Glenn or Alliance Animal Health Center.
