This is in San Ysidro, aka San Yes-idro, because whenever you ask if I wanna come here, I say yes. Or should I say, I san ys. The Greyhound near the border with Tijuana - which is literally within walking distance of the border - is mainly here so that everybody traveling between San Diego and Tijuana can easily get downtown, but also can jump on the Greyhounds to the rest of the country. And of course there's a premium outlet mall here for all the Mexicans that come across for shopping, which you'd be surprised to find is actually a huge amount of them, in fact I might say shopping is the main reason Mexicans cross the border, according to Barbi who is Mexican and according to what I see at this border. You can walk here across a raised walkway. From the mall. It's also one of the busiest San Diego trolley stations with up to 20,000 passengers every single day. It was renovated in 2015 and is a big stop for Greyhounds they're taking people to the Border or picking them up from the border. read more

Be very careful booking any rides from inside of Tijuana and in San ysidro. My mother and others were sold tickets to have a ride take them from Tijuana to San Fernando and they were dropped off at the San Ysidro location and never picked up. I reported my concern to customer service and they responded back with saying that my mother never checked in to her ride in Tijuana. However she and others riding this particular bus all had their tickets for a ride 7 am- drop off 1:45 pm and were told to get off the bus once they arrived to San Ysidro, that another greyhound driver would be picking them up shortly. NO ONE EVER SHOWED!!! Absolutely disgusting what you guys do to travelers with limited means, elderly and people with Spanish as their primary language. When I spoke to greyhound customer service for about an hour, the only solution they had was to have my mother be put on the 7pm schedule for a ride to San Fernando after being on her first bus at 7 am a 12 hour wait time to even be considered for another bus to pick her up. Now, all I wanna do is warn people not to get your parents or loved ones on greyhound. They scam people! Do not trust greyhound!!! The bus drivers are all in on this scheme. Omg where to begin!?!?! This is the most shittiest greyhound station beyond shitty. There are so many different bus companies in San ysidro I was a bit confused. So I go up to the window explaining I had a bus ticket for LA at 8:00AM so he says there's nothing there and I show him my online payment and at 4th bottom it said I could either show the picture OR print out. So I decided just to use the picture. Was never an issue. I give him my phone and he tells me oh well u can try to get on with this. So I go to the bus Driver he doesn't let me on becAuse I need to print it out. Just my luck great! So on top of missing the bus I have to drive back to Chula Vista to office depot to print the stupid ticket. Never ever take Greyhound/Crucero to or across the border. Horribly rude driver stranded 3 (maybe more) couples at the curb, forcing us to wait an hour for the next bus. When I booked the trip, I was specifically told that the driver would wait on the other side of the border until we cleared customs. This was just BS. Even though driver was stopped, when I approached the door, he refused to let me in. After I showed him my ticket, he still refused. He refused to give me his name, and refused to even look at me. Thank you for abandoning us Greyhound. I am glad to return the favor, and suggest everyone else do so. read more

The offered me to take me back to San Diego to pick up my bag without knowing at what time the bus would leave from San Diego to San Ysidro. If I could give them no stars I would! The WORST Bus Line I have ever been in! I purchased a ticket in the TJ airport at 3:30pm that I believed would take me from the airport to LA. When I purchased my ticket I asked the representative what time the bus was leaving and he said "right now"! I purchased our tickets and boarded the bus.They dropped us off in the Mexico side to cross by foot to the USA side! When we crossed I didn't see a bus so I went to a small booth and they stated my bus wouldn't leave until 6:40pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They never told me I would have to wait almost 3 hours for my bus!!!!! I called customer service (which sucks by the way) and they stated they could not help me because the ticket was not purchased in a Greyhound location???????? I stated the packet I was giving said Greyhound and the bus said Greyhound so what did she mean it wasn't a Greyhound location! She then processed to tell me I had to talk to a booth agent, but a earlier ticket would cost me $20 for time change!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible, starting with the lady at the santa ana station . Very rude. talks to people like we are nobodies. Had a confirmation number and said we were still not guaranteed a seat on the bus. When i got on the bus they were many seats available What a Bully! They dont make you feel welcome at all. Driver not nice, had my confirmation number but didnt have a ticket and she was not very friendly about the situation. Just got off at san ysidro , asked the driver where i was suppose to go, just said go ask that man and THAT man took awhile to tell us the bus in front of us was the correct one, hollering at everyone. Not nice! Some lady had to cross the line walking so she wont miss her flight. So its 430pm and the bus was scheduled to leave at 1130am from santa ana and i am still here in san ysidro. Yes its a memorial day weekend but the customer service made it a unpleasant experience. Please be nicer to people we dont know everything and we all have important places to go and family to see. read more

I neglected to ask this and when I found out it would take way too long (roughly 2 hours) to go to San Diego airport from Tijuana, I tried to cancel. Worse service every I paid for a ticket for my cousin to come home to our grandma who been put in hospice and come to find out when she gets there ticket was canceled for no reason and I would get a refund in 5 to 7 days yet I was still willing to pay for another . I've given up on Greyhound bus lines. I used to want to take the bus, but they've gotten worse and worse over the years. To many people work for them that don't speak English. You can't understand what they are saying over the phone! They made a mistake on my ticket and would not help me at all. I called, did the live chat, tried to find a ticket station in my city, only to find out there isn't one. Only a drop off, pick up spot. I booked a ticket a few months ago but ended up not using the ticket. When I called to try and get a refund I couldn't get through at all on their customer service line for a while. Finally, after trying numerous times I was able to talk to someone. I guess it was my fault for purchasing a non-refundable ticket, but they wouldn't let me have a refund for the ticket or allow me to use it as credit. After emailing the refund center I was told that I could buy a new ticket to a new destination and send in the new confirmation along with the confirmation of the ticket that was never used and then they would give me a refund for the old one. (A really odd round-about way of letting me use the ticket as a credit). The email told me to call the same number back and talk to a representative. The representative was rude and extremely inconsiderate. He didn't understand what I was talking about and kept interrupting me when I was trying to re-explain. I ended up getting nowhere with him. I will NEVER purchase a greyhound ticket again mainly because of their terrible customer service. Amtrak is the way to go! Much more comfortable, faster, good customer service, and cheaper! read more

Absolutely awful service. They overbook the buses all the time. Me and my friends were getting a bus from San Diego greyhound station at 1.55am and the bus was 15 minutes late, overbooked and we could not get on. We had a connecting bus in LA to Santa Barbara which we then missed and had to wait for hours. A girl had a flight to Australia to get at Lax at 9am and was by herself with no way to get to LA until 8am meaning she missed her flight. Staff were completely unhelpful and none of the customer service lines worked. It is not worth the bit of money you save over getting other transport. read more
