When Mo Salah goes around Southern Cali, it's called "Tourist-mo", and this is not that. Unfortunately. This is just the new name of the Mexico border transit service, and what they do is they will take you from San Ysidro into Tijuana. So basically crossing the border. It's also an airport shuttle apparently - although I've never seen anybody taking it to the airport - just down into Tijuana. It's pretty popular and does a pretty good job and most importantly it's very cheap. But there are long wait times, and they will often lie to you and tell you that you will have a bus within 15 minutes or 30 minutes. It can actually take hours. And getting back across the border can be really annoying. read more

This place is a complete Fkn scam!!! I wish I can give no stars at all. Do not use this place!!!! We got picked up at the border parking by a bus and they took us into their office at another Location to purchase tickets. I paid for two rounds trip tickets. Entering Tijuana at the border the bus pulled over, it was about 15 of us, they had to make sure we enter TJ by foot and they proceeded to ask why we were there. Well everyone knows the process. Anyways, I told the driver I needed to be picked up at around 6pm at the same location. Perfect, I was picked up along with my friend by another driver and this time it was a van. Others were also waiting from the same people the enter TJ along with us. Here comes the tricky part, once we hit the border they asked us to get off and that we were going to make line instead of crossing us by van (which I had already paid) we had to do it by foot. Our driver starts talking to another man which clearly this is how they scam people, he tells us we need to pay an additional $20 if we wanted to cross asap and not wait, and well I wanted to leave already because no one wants to be there after dark. This man, both scammers the driver for "Ticketon" also knows as "Turismo Express, INC" walked us all the way to the front of the line Smfh what a joke this was!!! Everyone was pushing us out the line, and screaming at the border patrol agents that we were cutting in line and that we didn't belong there. This was beyond embarrassing, I couldn't believe what was happening. I would be pissed off also if I was waiting in life forever just for someone to cut in!!!!!! I kept apologizing to everyone, please avoid this place at all cost. Never ever again!!! This place is Fkn fraud. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE, I was waiting in line at the San Ysidro boarder crossing to walk into the US from Tijuana, some guy approached me, saying "why wait in this long line" for a $7.00 bus ride you go through the 'Sentri' lane, and get there in only 5 minutes. LIARS, it took me over an Hour and a half, to get to the border patrol check point. I could have walked three times across faster in that period of time. Wow this service was poor. Bus seats were wet. When we crossed into Tijuana we stopped at a questionable -looking location and were told to get on another different bus. Driver never tried to communicate in english. Fortunately for our family of 4 I speak spanish and learned where and when to wait for the return bus. Were told to report to the pickup location a half hour early. We arrived at 2:30 for the 3 pm pickup and waited, without seeing a bus, until 3:15 when we grabbed a cab back to the border. The cab was only $7 and the driver spoke English. Upon our return, the shuttle office was deserted and closed. We really wanted to complain but a sign in the ticket window stated "No refunds". Probably because they receive a lot of complaints for shoddy service. The business phone number on our ticket was a bad number. Next time DON'T use this service. Cross on foot instead and grab one of many plentiful and inexpensive cabs waiting there. We should have only spent $14 rather than $40 for our irritating trip. For a bit more walking you'll save yourself a lot of money and grief. You're going to walk a lot in the shopping district anyway. read more

Whatever you do, avoid this transport company at all costs. I had arrived at the TIJ airport and they are partners with "el Ticketon" and "Fox Express". When I had asked the agents, they told me that the wait would only be 30 minutes max, because they have buses coming every 30 minutes. I am currently sitting here waiting for a van to come- I've been waiting 1 & 1/2 hours.. others have been waiting over 2 hours. The attendants here have a whole bunch of lines to avoid giving you a straight answer- "they're on their way", "the driver left 1.5 hours ago, he should be here any minute", "I'm calling another driver Freddy- he's the owner" blah blah blah... I had a grey hound ticket that I had canceled because they said they could get me here faster, but that story was just BS. I was better off on greyhound. read more

I had originally signed up for a day tour from San Diego to Tijuana, but not enough people signed up so the trip was cancelled. I am here early for a convention and this was my only day to visit Tijuana if I could. I was looking for a way to easily visit and almost decided not to when I saw the 1 star review. I should also note I am a woman travelling alone in this instance. I'm glad I decided to go! The bus is not fancy, but it was comfortable and clean. The people were extremely nice, took me right up to the border, walked me in to Mexican customs (literally got out of the bus and guided me) and waited for me on the other side. Then the driver took me right to Revolucion Ave. Another gentleman with the company gave me a map and suggestions on places to visit and then asked which shuttle time I planned to take back. And then I was off to enjoy my time in Tijuana. Came back to the same place at the scheduled time...and we waited a few minutes for some folks who were running late. They took every precaution not to leave someone behind. The folks showed up and we were off back to the US. The driver took us right up to the border. We waited to go through customs. Once through, I got on the trolley back to my hotel (the trolley is literally right at the exit) and the other folks got back in the van that was waiting for them on the other side to go to the parking area. Round trip was $10. I'm not sure how someone can think that's overpriced. I had a great time and THANK YOU to this service for making my trip easy and very affordable! read more

For the price, this service is great. We took it yesterday. There were only three of us headed downtown and the rest of the bus to the airport. They picked us up at the parking lot on time. Brought us to the Mexican border control where an agent came on the bus and checked everyone's documents. The Mexican citizens were brought one place and the US citizens to another place to fill out paperwork. Then your bags are scanned, you walk out and wait as the bus is being scanned. You board the bus again and you are on your way. Because there were only three going downtown and the rest to the airport, they transfered us into a passenger van. The people at their "office" were very nice and helpful. Once downtown, the agent told us where to pick the van back up and wanted to know which shuttle we would be back on. The whole process was very quick. We boarded the bus from the parking lot at 11am and were walking downtown by 11:30. When going back it's safe to arrive at the downtown office a few minutes before. They put us on a van to the office and we waited for a bus. The original guy said it would only take 5-10 minutes. But it was more like 30. But I didn't really mind. The staff there was great and their English was excellent. When we got on the bus they took us to the US border control. The people on the bus got whisked through customs much quicker than everyone else in line. To get the bus back to the parking lot, you have to wait at the terminal behind the McDonalds. There were two busses ahead of ours waiting to be scanned so I had a feeling it was going to be a while. After waiting for 5 minutes we just decided to walk the 5 minutes back to the parking lot over the pedestrian bridge. Would definitely use this again. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS...ESPECIALLY THE ROUND TRIP TICKET It wasn't so bad on the way over. We waited a few minutes, got on the bus. The driver gave instructions in SPANISH ONLY which wasn't so great when he could see that there were tourists onboard. Luckily someone else was translating for her friend and we could listen in. We got to the border and an agent came on and took everyone's passports, which led us to believe we would be getting taken care of without getting off the bus. Not the case at all, as a few minutes later we all had to exit the bus to go inside and fill out the paperwork. Then we waited another 10-15 minutes before boarding another bus to get down the street to a van since we were only going downtown and not to the airport. We had a lovely driver in the van who spoke clear English and explained where to get things and where to go. Then we were met at the curb by a tall gentleman who also spoke very clear English, gave us a map, and made sure we knew to get back just a few minutes early to catch a ride back. We intended on taking the 1pm ride back and arrived 10 minutes early, just as the van was pulling up. Just as a time check, if these come every hour from the parking lot on the US side this meant that these passengers likely left the parking lot at 12 noon and it took nearly an hour. That seems reasonable considering we left the parking lot on the US side at 10am and didn't get to downtown until nearly 11am. Its seriously not that far, what a waste of time. And then things went even more wrong... The driver told us that since we were just going to the parking lot that it would be MUCH FASTER to take the NEW pedestrian gate to customs and then walk back to the lot. He didn't give us a choice whatsoever and we were dumped at the "NEW" pedestrian border crossing. We didn't have the required documentation for the READY ACCESS line and instead had to go into the GENERAL PUBLIC line. You must make sure you have the right card for the ready access line or else it will take 2+ hours like we had to wait today. Very frustrating experience that made me VERY LATE for work and left me without time to prepare properly. Why we paid for a return trip and got ripped off is infuriating and I hope was an isolated incident. If I paid for a round trip ride to and from downtown, don't make me walk most of it and stand in line That's BS. Bottom line, don't use these people. Just walk from the lot and at least have some realistic expectations of your trip. read more

SCAM!! Estafadores!!! SCAM!! This was probably one of the most angry and wretched experiences I've ever had. Same company different location in the terminal across the boarder in Mexico. My disabled mother and I were about to go the border line and a "nice" man with a wheelchair told us that they offer a bus to take us to the border so we didn't have to wait 3 hours in line. We decided to purchase two tickets at a price of $14. We waited nearly 45 minutes for the next bus and began to see nearly 10 people gather for the bus. We all got in and started to get to the area of the first initial immigration. We were on the bus waiting for 15 minutes for a bus in front of us to move and began to notice that although the line was huge, it was moving at a fast pace. The bus began to move to the initial checkpoint and then suddenly we were told to get out of the bus by this African American Rude Ass Hell immigration "officer". She told us to get to the back of the line like everybody else. We told the Driver what was going on and he said he wasn't responsible for what was going on and to simply go to the back of the line. I waited over and HOUR for this bus, paid $14 for my mother not to be walking a lot. We were told that if we wanted a refund we had to go back and get one. I simply wanted to go home and decided to leave. I literally spend 13 minutes on the "big" line to get inside the main immigration documentation checkpoint. This place is a SCAM!! Don't use it because it really doesn't do anything and you'll have to go back to the line. read more

I am surprised to see only one star for a rating. For $10 round trip to Tijuana what can one expect? Some of the shuttles did not have AC and it was a bit confusing when coming back to the US where to get back on the shuttle. Just follow the signs to the "bus parking". Most people traveling into Mexico are headed to the Tijuana Airport, so if you want to go into Tijuana you will need to change to a van after entering Mexico. Don't get nervous when they immediately start driving away from the downtown where you want to go. Our driver did not explain this to us and I was worried we would be dropped at the airport. You just need to relax and go with the flow when in Mexico. You will eventually get to where you want to go. I would use this service again without hesitation. read more

Mixed experience. The way there was super easy. After exiting the last US exit we made a right at the light and a right into the first parking lot. Lot was 7 dollars a day mon- thur. Shuttle picked us up right there, dropped us at immigration, picked us up on the other side and took us to avenida revolucion. Shuttle was very nice and air conditioned. The ride back was not great. We left at 5 and traffic was bad. The whole reason we took the shuttle was supposedly that they had a pass to drive through the lanes faster to get us through to the US side. They instead said something about the lines being long and that they would instead drop us off to walk through immigration. We ended up stuck in line for an hour... some people on our shuttle got passes for a transfer to another bus on the us side to get to the parking lot. We were told to walk. Next time I would push back on the driver and make them take us by car across since that was what we paid for. read more

Sitting on the bus, now, to Tijuana. Bus departed San Ysidro an hour late, standing room only and still have not crossed the border after multiple stops. The San Ysidro parking lot was supposed to have been the last stop before Mexico which is the only reason I took this bus. I had never been to Mexico or San Diego but saw this recommended on a site as the fastest way across the border. I have to imagine they're correct, the trip to revolucion took maybe 45 minutes there and an hour or so back including customs and then transferring. One of the ticket guys in San ysidro spoke fluent English as did one of our two bus drivers in Mexico. They made sure we got where we needed to with 0 issues. Left at the Border - Paid for a shuttle to downtown Tijuana but was left at the border crossing. After going through customs, I was told that the bus I was on was going to the airport and "another bus would come to take us to downtown Tijuana". Not sure if the second bus never came or it came while I was in the customs office but I was left stranded at the border. I then had to walk across the border where I was able to catch a taxi to downtown. When I returned to the US and told the Tourismo Express agent was happened, she offered no apology, much less a refund of my fare. read more

Shuttle bus service from San Ysidro to downtown Tijuana. Turn right from the last exit on the 5 freeway before the border and there is a parking lot. On the parking lot grounds is a "Ticketon" shuttle bus office. Real name of the business is Tourismo Express. This service is overpriced, 3-4 times more than comparable service. First the attendant lies about when the shuttle will depart. Then she lies about the drop-off point. I said I had been dropped off in front of Sanborn's in the past, and she said that would be no problem. A lovely new shuttle bus will take you across the border. Once in Mexico, they transfer you to a dirty bus with no seat belts. Coming back they pick you up in a dirty vehicle before driving to a collection point where you wait for another filthy vehicle. Nobody speaks English. You have to follow the crowd. Once in the U.S. you can call or pick up. You are much better off walking across the border and taking a shuttle from there. read more
