They're basically all one big city but with three distinct centers and they consider themselves as different and yet the same. So it is pretty adorable around here, and this is a cute station too, and it's set back a little bit from the road, and looks cute. It looks brand new as well. It serves the three cities well, but especially Pasco where it's situated. My concert was in Richland so it was hard to get there from here with my instrument honestly. It's for local transit. And Greyhound stops here as well which is how I've used it on a number of occasions.

We're lucky in the Tri-Cities to have one of the newest train stations in the Pacific North West (this station was constructed in 1998). I like it here, because whenever I'm here, it means I'm going somewhere cool, whether it's the early train to Portland, or the evening train to Glacier National Park. The Empire Builder is the east/west train which serves us. This depot also serves Greyhound as well as the Mexican bus service, Estrella Blanca. The waiting room is generally clean, and there is a vending machine available (but if you've got time, stop by a taco truck since you're surrounded!). I must admit I was a little wary of leaving my vehicle here over the weekend, but my MINI was waiting for me safe & sound after my weekend trip to Portland. Ok, when's the next trip!?

One showed up 15 min late, the second was 1 hr 15 minutes late. ~100 kids age 10-12 plus teachers & parent chaperones got up at 3 am, left standing outside waiting for over an hour?! Strongly do not recommend for future company or any other trips. Words can't express how disappointed I am, the school district should be refunded to partially make this right. Edit: When the bus finally showed up I was talking to the A & A Motorcoach guy because he just randomly started loading stuff without asking, some of which shouldn't have been loaded. He was super testy, told me they were supposed to be there at 4:45 and started trying to argue with me about the time. Never once apologized for being late and was super rude. Even though that wasn't true, it would still have them at 50 minutes late! Then he asked who is in charge here and stormed off to find "the person in charge" when I told him I wasn't that person. Well, it's my tax money that went towards A & A Motorcoach being 1 hr 15 min late and possibly making my kid +100 others miss their 8:30 am start science activity in Seattle. These kids have been raising money for this trip for the past 9 months! When you're incredibly late and have over 100 children waiting on you at least have some common courtesy and customer service.

Beware; Sketchy at best. Quoted $175 to pick-up a ~150# sofa…read moreand dump for an additional $50. Showed up 30 min. late for pickup, 30 min. later work was complete. Then asked for an additional $150 to dump. When challenged they said they were going to warehouse the sofa, but we could go to the dump to pay the disposal fee, probably betting we would cave in. We decided to go to the dump to see the real cost. Based on weight $10 was the cost of disposal. Of course, the pick-up immediately changed to an hourly rate to include trip to the dump. The advertised Richland Land Fill rate is $10 per load up to 1200#, surely this outfit knows this. They advertise "Veteran Owned"; with claims like that I'd expect straight shooters. As a disabled veteran, I don't expect special treatment just fair; honor stated quotes. Edited: Received phone call from vendor who was somewhat upset over the above review. A veteran's discount was then offered but not accepted, again not looking for special treatment. If real, discounts should be advertised or offered at time of job request. Edited review to remove text that bothered them. Of course, my "claim" to be a disabled veteran was questioned...real class act. DD-214 and VA disability classification available upon request. I'll be gone in a couple years so my concern for their feelings is rapidly fading.

I took the train from Washington to Oregon that should have been on time and it wasn't. It was…read moredelayed twice for an hour both times. The train was so dirty I couldn't see out the windows! Even though the Steward swept the floor when we got close to Portland he only swept the aisles. The seats were filthy. When I had to take the train back to Washington, with my granddaughter, we were then told the train wasn't coming at all and we had to ride a bus back. Not a normal Greyhound bus but a small party bus jammed packed with people, shoulder to shoulder, a sack lunch from Subway, that I couldn't eat, no bathroom and the seats were ridiculously hard and had to sit straight up! I'm almost 70yrs old and that was very painful on a 4 hour ride! For the money I paid, and no reduced charges it was HELL! I'll not take the train ever again and I'm telling everyone I know across the country not to either!!!

Thursday, 07/12/2024,…read more Up since 4:30am, Three weary travelers from Pasco, WA to Portland, OR, with a change of trains from Portland, OR to Tacoma, WA -arrived early for their 6:40am departure on The Empire Builder. Only to find out our train had been delayed by 4 hours and was now departing at 10:35am. We checked our 2 largest pieces of luggage and decided to just wait at the station, as our family friend DR had already dropped us off & gone on to work. Well about 7:30am the Amtrak employee who works the desk came by and gave us a 5.11 oz. Snack box filled with: Hummus, Cheese Spread, Almonds, Brownie Crisps, Crackers, Beef Stick & Dried Apples! FREE! WOW, what a wonderful service and it saved us from having to buy snacks with our own $! I'm highly recommend taking this train. Thanks Amtrak!
