If I could give BoltBus, owned by parent company Greyhound, negative stars I would. CEO Dave Leach was contacted regarding this service failure. Mr. David Hall, Customer Service, was contacted. Media Relations were contacted. Despite being told by the Media Rep that she "would get right back to me," no one ever responded. BoltBus, and parent company Greyhound, should be ashamed for making mothers and children cross a very busy street through traffic. Be warned, this business has a C+ Better Business Bureau rating for a reason. I would avoid them at all costs. CEO Dave Leach should be ashamed of their service. I am.

These are people waiting for a Greyhound that is over two hours late.

Extremely delayed arrival (2-hour delay) at Port Authority, NY today. A lot of process improvement needs to be addressed on that.

Busses are consistently delayed over an hour; the most recent one I took was delayed 3 hours. Never booking with them again.

Originally built in the late 19th century, the brownstone station retains much of its historic character, with a grand waiting hall featuring high ceilings, large windows, and traditional architectural details. Walking inside, the atmosphere feels like a true old-fashioned train station while still serving the needs of today's commuters and travelers. The main reason to visit is the station's role as a central transportation connection throughout Connecticut and the Northeast. Amtrak trains provide access to destinations including New Haven, New York, Springfield, and Vermont, while the Hartford Line commuter rail and CTfastrak bus network make it a convenient option for both daily commuters and longer-distance travelers. The ability to connect between rail and bus services in one location makes it an important part of Hartford's transportation system. The station itself is compact and easy to navigate compared to larger city terminals. The main waiting area includes seating, ticket counters, restrooms, and basic vending options, providing the essentials needed before a departure. The short walking distances between the waiting hall, bus areas, and train platforms make transferring between services relatively simple. The overall experience is practical and efficient. The station can become busy during commuter rushes when trains and buses arrive close together, but the layout handles the crowds well. Its downtown location also makes it convenient for reaching nearby offices, restaurants, and government buildings, with parking garages and lots available nearby for those driving in. Overall, Union Station is a reliable and historic gateway into Hartford. The combination of its beautiful preserved architecture, convenient transit connections, and straightforward layout makes it a valuable transportation hub for exploring Connecticut and the surrounding Northeast region.

They also have the Amtrak trains in this same station. Although I feel safe, the area is definitely sketchy. There are ticket counters for this who hasn't bought their tickets beforehand. And there is also a small eatery that has coffee and breakfast sandwiches to purchase.
