We were looking for a photographer for a family photo session. I got some quotes from local family photographers and was about to go with one of them when I randomly remembered Greycard who did our wedding photos. I reached out to them and their pricing was very reasonable. They were cheaper than most of the other photographers and offered access to all of our digital photos. A lot of the other companies wanted to charge more money for a shorter session and were only going to give us access to about 20 edited photos. We got our edited photos the next day and are so pleased with how they came out. It's always a gamble when you have a baby and a toddler, but John got some really beautiful shots. This review is long overdue. Our wedding was originally set for Nov 2020 but we had to postpone to Aug 2021 due to Covid. We just celebrated our one year anniversary today and realized we forgot to post how fortunate we were to have Greycard as a part of our special day! We had the pleasure of working with John and Lucy on our engagement and wedding photos. Both of them were easy to talk to and were very accommodating. LOVED John and Lucy - they were the perfect wedding photographers for us. I was looking for a photographer that could capture the happiness, joy, and color of such a celebration -- I did not want whitewashed photos where everyone looks smooth but the same color. Boring. They somehow managed to capture the joy of the day while making everyone look their best. Our wedding was summer of 2022 and we had John's team work with us on our mehndi event and John, himself, worked with us on our wedding/shaadi event, and let me tell you, the photos were all PHENOMENAL! Greycard Photography work very well with Robles Video Productions and so the shoot was seamless between the two companies on both of our big nights. They made us feel special, made everything feel natural, and caught the best moments! The photos were ready to be seen close to 1-1.5 months, which is crazy turn around for my two events with hundreds of photos! There was a hiccup with my wedding planner not communicating the location of my getting ready for my wedding, so we did a reshoot in December 2022. John himself did the reshoot with us and he was kind, patient, and had an eye for the most beautiful photos I can ever dream of. As well as that, we are now expecting! So, as a courtesy, John offered to do a few maternity photos and I cannot be more grateful for everything he has done for us. My husband I received our wedding photos this week and were SHOCKED at how many photos there were considering we felt like John and Lucy weren't even there. John photographed my sister's wedding a few years ago and I loved his demeanor, but most of all loved her photos! My husband and I first saw Greycard at a Bridal show and we fell in love with their work! They do so well with natural lighting and capturing colors well. Planning a wedding is so daunting. We learned early on that the food, photo booth, entertainment, etc were mostly for the guests and that the photos and vows were the two things that really were for US. I'm so thankful that John was available to shoot our wedding. I looked into him because he came highly recommended by my family and my others vendors & on-site coordinator knew of him and his work. He is so experienced that he gave us invaluable tips on how to enjoy the wedding day while getting us SO MANY amazing shots. He came with a second photographer and both of them were on time, super relaxed and went the extra distance. He's so creative and works on the fly. We had a mad men flair and he took the most gorgeous shots of us sipping cocktails, reading books, etc. If anything you won't be able to keep up with him! During a lull in the reception he snuck us out to our reception's rooftop and shot some gorgeous time-sensitive photos when the light was just right. My husband and I are pretty shy and awkward in front of the camera too but he knows how to direct you to pose to get the most flattering shots. I would recommend getting your engagement photos shot by him too. It really helped us to practice being comfortable in front of the camera. On the big day it was a breeze. My MOH had such a pleasant experience too and was so impressed by our photos that shes booked him for her wedding this August. I'd like to keep my wedding photos private but I have uploaded some photos John took for us at our wedding party "meet and greet" crawfish party that we hosted prior to the wedding. First let me start off by saying that Greycard Photography was the perfect fit for us!!! John was pleasant, caring and made us both feel very comfortable. I have read some of the comments regarding Greycard being homophobic and I myself did not have that experience! John from day one was very considerate and caring to my wife Laura and myself!! They are very proficient in their work. The level of fine details that John pays attention to was remarkable. Every single strand of hair and finger rings position were on spot. We highly recommend them as I cannot understand how professional they are. When we took our engagement pictures first, I thought it was going to take longer than the allocated time but it ended up being exactly what was timed and also we had extra time to take additional photos. The reason being is because they already knew what they were doing so they were able to tell if they took a good shot or not and that is why usually on the first or second shot we were able to move to the next location. For the actual wedding, they were amazing as they were very organized and efficient, especially with the family photos. I seriously wish there was a higher rating that I can apply for this amazing company! We booked Greycard through a video vendor that we saw at a wedding expo. My husband and i were impressed from the very beginning. Their documents and guidelines were very clearly stated so there was no room for any misinterpretation. They were easy to communicate with and still are even after our wedding. We loved that they travel pretty far for engagement shoots and wedding locations. We booked our engagement shoot with them at the Pasadena City Hall. They (John & Lucy) arrived on time and helped us carry our props to the location. They were so professional and knew exactly what spots to take us to. It's important that a couple feel comfortable and let loose for natural looking pictures, they allowed us to do just that! I have mixed feelings about my experience with Greycard Photography. When we chose Greycard Photography, we had emphasized that we wanted the same photographer to do both our engagement and wedding photos. Since we met with John initially, we chose him and he confirmed he would do both. Our experience during our engagement shoot was awesome. John did a fantastic job and the pictures were absolutely gorgeous. On the day of our wedding, we show up for our first look photos and John was nowhere to be found. There was a different photographer who we had never met before. John never told us he wasn't going to be there and we also never got a follow-up explaining what happened, no apologies. The photographer that was there had no idea we were not informed of the change. While we got our photos quickly and were satisfied with our wedding photos, this experience added a lot of stress to a special day. It's extremely unprofessional and I wouldn't want any other bride and groom to have to deal with it. read more
