I've had the great pleasure of working with Jerrick from Three16 Photography for three separate occasions. So we know it's not a fluke. His work is just that incredible. I understand that his bread and butter is for wedding photography, and those are gorgeous. However, we used Jerrick for our event photography and I have never seen anything better. Truly. Jerrick has had the difficult task of shooting our events, often with 400+ individuals. We give him the vague and important directions of: please capture the vibe of the event. Awful directions. I know that. But I care less about certain moments and certain faces, and I want photos that capture our world. Our impact. Our community. That's hard. That's not, stand here and pose here type of photography. My five-year-old with my iPhone can do that. Jerrick has to photograph a vibe. I don't know how he does it, but he does it every time. And he brings us to tears. Happy tears. I also want to note something else about Jerrick's work that is often overlooked in this industry and I think it deserves to be mentioned. All too often, when a photographer edits their photos to give a bright edit, it ends up lightening skin color as well. As a Latina working with a population of almost all individuals of color, with varying skin tones, it is important that we find a photographer that celebrates our culture, our community, AND our skin tones without making everyone look the same. I have yet to find a photographer who honors our skin tones with the integrity that Jerrick has, while STILL giving us the light, bright photo-edit that we love. Jerrick's work tells a story. I was searching the Internet for a great photographer that could do our elopement photos at Table Rock Beach. I got married last year and had Jerrick and his fantastic team during my lovely but chaotic day. In my family, I'm very much the doer. We hired Jerrick as our wedding photographer for our wedding at Anaheim Hills Golf Club in Anaheim Hills, CA, and we had a wonderful overall experience working with him. On our wedding day, Jerrick and his second shooter, Alex, were incredibly patient and professional, especially with our large and lively family. When some family members arrived late, Jerrick and Alex seamlessly adjusted the schedule, capturing other photos first and saving family portraits for later. Their adaptability ensured we didn't miss any valuable moments. Jerrick's flexibility shone through in his openness to suggestions, such as moving our getting-ready photos outdoors for better lighting. Both he and Alex were personable, easy to work with, and made the day feel relaxed and enjoyable. The photos they delivered were stunning, with beautiful lighting, excellent composition, and thoughtful attention to detail. Jerrick also went above and beyond by reviewing our wedding timeline beforehand, offering helpful advice that improved the flow of the day. The photo booth provided by Three16 Photography was another highlight. It was high-quality, a hit with our guests, and managed wonderfully by Josie, who was kind and professional throughout. We were thrilled to receive sneak peeks of our photos shortly after the wedding, and the full gallery was delivered much sooner than we expected, which was a fantastic surprise. However, there were a few areas for improvement. Before the wedding, we told Jerrick about our special first dance from Dancing With the Stars. We even shared the original Dancing With the Stars video and screenshots of key moments we wanted captured. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed that several of those special moments we had hoped to preserve were missed. Communication was also a challenge at times, as Jerrick's busy schedule made him difficult to reach. During our engagement shoot, we found some of the poses suggested to be a bit awkward. So we would recommend coming prepared with ideas for poses you like. Additionally, as we're not particularly experienced in front of the camera, we would have appreciated more guidance to help us avoid awkward angles or unflattering positions in some shots. Despite these minor setbacks, we were overall very happy with Jerrick and Alex's work. Their professionalism, creativity, and adaptability made Three16 Photography an excellent choice for capturing our special day. We recommend them to other couples looking for talented and personable photographers who deliver beautiful and lasting memories. My husband and I are so glad we chose Three16 Photography for our wedding this past September.  Jerrick, the owner and lead photographer was awesome to work with.  Photography is one of the vendors that we didn't mind paying a little more for memories that we will treasure for a lifetime. I am a videographer that works with Three16. Whether I'm associate shooting or shooting under my own brand, they always make sure I'm taken care of. I've been in the wedding videography business for over 10 years and there's been times it is hard to work with the photographer and the whole day becomes a fight on who gets to shoot first. With Three16 it is the complete opposite. They always include us in their plan by sending us their shooting schedule so we are all on the same page. On the day of, I let the photographers go first and they gladly let me go next while assisting me with the shot if needed. Jerrick, the owner, is passionate, funny and honest, you could really tell he loves his job. When he hires associate photographers and videographers he makes sure their work is good but most of all if they are professionals. He then goes through a trial run to make sure you are the right fit. I know some studios that charge a lot less than Three16 but they are getting any guy (or gal) with a camera and only post photos / videos of their top associates that may not be the photographers on your wedding day. I think we call that bait and switch. Again, I cannot emphasize how great Three16 is. You'll see that paying a little bit extra goes a long way. read more

My husband and I got married in November 2022 at the San Juan Hills Golf Club in San Juan Capistrano, and we had the absolute pleasure of working with Three16 Photography throughout our wedding planning and on our big day. Our experience with Jerrick and his team at Three16 Photography was amazing. First, we were planning a wedding from out of state and were accommodated at each step of the way by Jerrick and Alex.
