We all wanted something a little different to commemorate our annual girls trip. I have a full sleeve already and lots of leg tattoos, one of us had only 2 tattoos, and the other is somewhere between so we all have different levels of experience getting tattooed. The shop has an old school aesthetic but without the traditional too tough to be kind and helpful vibe. Everyone was very friendly. They answered all our questions and drew up exactly what we wanted. The prices were reasonable and the quality was top notch! My friend even got new nose jewelry that the piercer changed for her. Overall a really fun experience in a clean, professional shop with talented artists.

I specifically…read morementioned that it was my daughter's 6th birthday, and the guy on the phone said yes and asked how soon I could get there. He seemed rushed, so I said 10 minutes, and he told me to "take your time, there are other people in front of you." No problem. When my boyfriend got there first, the piercer told him it would cost $200 for ONE ear. Excuse me... what?? When I arrived, I asked him to verify that insane price. He mumbled something, nearly bolted away from me, and when I asked him to repeat himself, he half-mumbled again that he was "finishing up with someone." The whole vibe was shady, the place had a weird smell, and my gut told me this was not the spot. So I left with my daughter. Frustrated that I wasted my time driving there, I called back to say my piece. Before he even answered the phone, I could clearly hear him call me a "stupid bitch." When I confronted him, he played dumb like he had no idea who I was. I told him I had just left his shop and asked why he had me come all the way there only to spring a $200 one-ear piercing price on me. His excuse? "You didn't tell me your daughter was six. $200 has been my base price for 25 years." That's a blatant lie--I had my nose pierced there before, and it was nowhere near that. The truth is this guy doesn't listen, doesn't respect customers, and acted completely erratic--like he was amped up on something. His whole attitude screamed bitterness and misogyny. Businesses survive on treating people well, not by insulting them and scamming families on their child's birthday. Save yourself the trouble and take your business somewhere that respects you and your time. Covina has plenty of better options...this is not one of them.

The guys at the shop were so sweet and made sure she and our group were comfortable. My aunt and I were getting matching tattoos so we filled out the necessary forms and talked to Tommy, our artist, about the design we wanted. He was so sweet and professional and came out with a few different sizes for us to choose from. My aunt went with a smaller size and I got the next size up. Tommy made sure the placement was perfect and adjusted as needed so we were happy. He did his thing and let us hang out together while we each got our tattoo. I'm so happy with the final result!
