Hands down superior customer service! I recently received a leather pair of heals for a gift, after only the 3rd wear I had cut the leather with the sole of my other shoe. I brought them in and the gentleman working looked at them and was able to smooth out the leather and also glue it back in place. At the same time I dropped off a pair of maryjane danskos that I left and wasn't expecting back until Friday at the earliest and was able to pick up today. They look brand new! Went in to drop off some shoes for heel repair/lifts I think they call them when getting worn down and because they are still somewhat new, the worn part wasn't bad . . Was told it was a pre pay, which is ludicrious . One usually does not pay until goods are delivered/fixed. Nothing on website that mentions this except "updating" plus the price was a bit much..Unacceptable for me Found a more reputable one in the area and will go with them. read more

Two falls ago, I brought in a pair of boots that I was hoping to have stretched in the calf and made more flexible in the heel area since I have standard human dimensions and am not a skinny calves kind of person. I worked with the shop owner to stretch them into one of the more comfortable pairs of boots I've ever had! So glad I work not far from here and can drop off more repairs as they are needed. 10/10 would recommend their services! read more

I took in two pairs of shoes and a garment bag that needed new snaps. They got the bag and my flats done within an hour or so and then called me. WOW! Incredible workmanship + great service. Oh, and my flats looked like new, as they'd been cleaned and polished. read more

My three year old Frye boots were in need of some TLC. They replaced the soles, and conditioned and polished them. The new soles are actually better quality then the original and should last much longer. Very good work. Price a bit high-$75-but I've never had boots resoled so have no comparison. Because of their exceptional work, we have revisited GSR dozens of times to breathe new life into both men's and women's sandals/shoes/boots, Birkenstock re-sole/cork, and luggage/purse zipper repairs. Their fair prices, finished work product, customer service, and capacity to repair a variety of items is unmatched. I have never written a Yelp review but felt compelled to advocate for GSR - we cannot recommend them highly enough. Honestly, I'd never given shoe repair shops much thought until I needed one... and realized that like anything else, there were good ones, bad ones, and ones that make people write scathing reviews. I simply needed a heel replacement for a boot I'd just purchased a few months ago. I called around and after much schooling realized the little plastic piece I thought would only be a buck or two, was in fact closer to $10-15. Whatever, the boots were ten times that. Anyway, Gresham Shoe Repair was close by so I stopped in. At $15, the repair was higher than other places I'd called in the vicinity, but the others had scary feedback so I dropped my boots off and crossed my fingers. I was told they'd be ready by Friday; I said I'd be in on Saturday to pick them up. When I went in to get the boots, he was actually working on them. I had a little bit of flexibility in my schedule so it wasn't a big deal, but had I gone in earlier, or even the day before when I was told they'd be ready, I would've been ticked. When I stopped by later on to get the boots, I was VERY happy. The guy had replaced both heels (necessary, so they'd match) and had cleaned up the rough edge where the wood base had worn a bit. They looked better than new. So yeah, the price was a tad higher than some other places in the area, but GSR is local and I know they'll do a great job. And the guy (owner?) looks like Vincent D'Onofrio, so that's a plus ;) read more

While they couldn't help me, they did a lot of leg work to reach out to Jimmy Choo on my behalf and got back to me with a pragmatic plan and related contacts within an hour of me reaching out. Great customer service, even when I hadn't spent a dime with them. This is the customer service of yesteryear. Ever since the new owner took this historic place in hand about two years ago, this place has continuously improved with new flooring, brighter walls, more space and more light. I have been going here for quite a few years and now find it a comfortable place to bring my shoes for repair. The quality of work has improved, too, and I get an honest answer if something cannot be, or is not worth, repairing. High quality shoes come back like new, though!
