Came here after my camping trip in Catskills and I was excited to do the pick-your-own! They did not charge entrance fees, only what you picked! This was a pretty big farm! At the time, I picked blackberries and apples! I caught the early-end of blackberries so not much to pick for my carton. However; the apples were delicious! Super sweet and abundant at the farm. They also have fresh apple cider donuts! One of the best we've had! There is also cute farm where there are goats on site. Great family-friendly farm to visit!

Decent farm and pick your own apples site. I guess we came late in the season because there wasn't a great selection of apples left. We had lunch at the cafe and the chicken sandwich was ok--bit heavy on the mayo. Burger with egg was fantastic. Great area to sit with interesting metal art sculptures. Apple cider donuts were good. The sweet dill pickles were AWFUL. I think they were a vendor item but I ate one and tossed the rest. It would be nice if they offered samples as I love to support local but hate to waste my money.

Leaf peeping and farm visits are already a popular Fall activity in normal times, but because it's outdoors and easy to socially distance at, every farm around the Northeast worth its salt has been mobbed out weekend after weekend this year. Did Fall even happen if you didn't see a panoply of apple picking photos clogging up your social media feed? I wanted to avoid everything that crowds come with, like long lines and picked over orchards, so I chose this farm that was much farther than dozens of other farms I could've chosen closer to NYC, much to my designated driver's dismay. The owner of this farm also publicly declared his support for climate action, racial equity and a woman's right to choose which totally sealed the deal for me as a place I'd want to spend my dollars. I always want to consider whether a place is inclusive when I leave my liberal enclave, so this was really quite reassuring. Upon arrival I was happy to see a lack of crowds, and a huge pumpkin patch still full of gourds ripe for picking. I've never picked a pumpkin off a vine before, and as a city girl I enjoyed the novelty of this very hands on experience. Most farms I've been to are much more commercialized and have the pumpkins all picked out for you, which isn't a bad thing, but picking them off the vine definitely cost less. I was also pleasantly surprised by the kitchen at the farm. The fish and chips had perfectly battered and fresh fish as well as amazing fries, and the cider doughnuts were so terrific that each person in our group bought half a dozen of these to enjoy for themselves. The eatery had a wide selection of hard ciders aged in oak barrels, which was an amazing Fall drink to enjoy on this farm while we watched goats frolic about next to the picnic tables.

We love Grieg's Farm. It's a pick-your-own fruit and vegetables farm. They don't spray pesticide so that makes their produce organic. We've been here for the blackberry and strawberry pickings. Amble parking, clear signs to where the different fruit/veggie are. The kids always have a great time. Their price per pound is also very reasonable, so we always come here to stock up and freeze them for winter. Just right down the road, they have a farm market with lots of local produce as well as fresh made apple cider donuts. They also offer meals that are very tasty. We got trio sliders (pulled pork, brisket, and crab cake), soft shell crab sandwich with fries (bonus, it's rosemary and herb fries which were ta bomb!), and Mac n cheese for the kiddos. Everything was so delicious! Eating the meal outside in their outside seating area is great. For a quarter, you can get a handful of farm feeds to get close to your fav chicken or goats! They also opened the Abandoned Cider cidery last year, the ciders were just ok, but still a great plus to the overall amazing farm!

I cannot tell you how difficult it is to find a farm with an apple orchard that isn't crowded and packs as much value as Grieg Farm. I went in mid September with a few friends (+ dog) on a beautiful warm day, and it was so lovely to only have a couple other groups there. There's plenty of apple tree lanes near the parking lot with quite a few varieties depending on the time of the season. On the other side of the farm layed the pumpkins, most on the vine so I got the opportunity to pick straight from the source! Another pro with Grieg Farm is that there isn't a ridiculous admission fee and requirement of apples picked (admission is free); you pay for what you pick on the way out -- oh and they take card (!!). I got about 10 apples and a pumpkin and only paid ~$13, which is a steal. Once you exit the field, you drive a little bit to get to the Grieg Farm market where the goats, cider, and brisket awaits. I believe the BBQ brisket is a separate local business with a cute food trailer and picnic tables on a hill overlooking the fields. The cider was really affordable and pretty decent. Near the cider is a bunch of goats, and you can feed them for a quarter in the pellet machine. The market was a bit disappointing -- I imagined a lot of homemade goods (think maple butter, fudge, jam..) sold by the farm, but most items were commercially sold. They do sell apple cider donuts (both sugar coated and plain)! I looked forward to trying them and got half a dozen each, but was a bit disappointed -- it was decent though greasy, and the crispness to fluffy interior ratio was not quite there. I would definitely come again though!

I had my husbands 80th birthday party at the farm. They provided the space and the food. I had a vision of how I wanted it to be, and they were able to supply that vision. The room looked great and the food was delicious. The chiefs made a fabulous meal and the staff provided excellent service. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

TJ makes delicious fare in the kitchen. Fresh produce including pick-your-own in summer. Lovely walks on the farm.

Cider donuts and feeding the goats are the best part. Couldn't find any blackberries in the picking field :,(

I opted for the bi-week pick up for $235 = 8 weeks at the actual farm in Standfordville. Not knowing what to expect as I'm a complete newbie at this, I called for more info. Dave was so helpful on the phone, explaining how things works, where to park, when to come, etc. So I decided to join to try it out! When I arrived the first time, Dave was there to greet me and show me around - basically there's a sign-in sheet at the barn entrance along with a weekly newsletter. Bring your own reusable bags and also the thin plastic bags for produce (they have it there, but you can reuse the ones you get from grocery to save the planet). There's a big blackboard showing you what the share of the week is - It's the MAX amount you can take - so get all or get what's right for you. All of the produce are lay out neatly and orderly - it's really a fool-proof system and signs everywhere telling you how many you can take. There are also info on produce profile, food storage, and recipes along the back wall. They also have a section for "PYO" - pick your own! This is for your to go out to the garden and pick from the plant itself! Usually it always comprise flowers and herbs. It's only my second week, but I just LOVE how fresh the produce taste, LOVE having fresh flowers at home, and LOVE trying new recipes with vegetables we usually don't eat. It also forces me to eat more vegetables so i can clean out my fridge for the next pickup. Although I don't have any previous experience on CSA, but I do think this is as good as it gets!!
