While the water was up and we did not have any luck fishing, we were fortunate to find this place. The cabin was perfect for the price and had almost all the basics you could need. Access to fishing was excellent, especially with waders, and they also rent boats or you could schedule a guided fishing trip. They indicated plans are in the works for a version of a restaurant and I would say that would be a welcome addition, even if only open limited days and hours. But if you don't mind sandwiches and burgers on the grill, there is a wal mart a relatively short drive away. The pool was small but enough for a refreshing dip and to sit and relax for a while. We will definitely be going back.

Breathtakingly beautiful views and so peaceful, never been kept awake by neighbors or any thing. The river is great, so clear with tons of fish you can just see sitting there. The cabins are clean and convenient to have a full kitchen on hand. Kayaking is wonderful and swimming up the road in the lake. Hiking trails close by and nice and mild so fun for the family. It's the break we all need for time to time to just play board games and bond or go out and spend quite days and fish.

I went on a half-day guide trip with Big Phil a few months ago. I'm no fisherman, but I sure do…read morelove dining on trout. The thought of going out on the river with the promise of catching a trout lunch was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I spent 3 1/2 hours on the river with Phil. The scenery was fantastic, his guidance and expertise was unmatched. I personally caught at least two dozen beautiful trout. We kept the best five of the bunch (legal limit) and released the rest. After it was all over, once we got back to shore, he cooked them all up, as well as fries. There is nothing like eating fresh-out-of-the-river trout. Delicious! All in all, an experience I've never had and one that will last a lifetime. Thanks again, Big Phil's Guides. If I ever get back to the area, I'll certainly give you a holler.

When my fiancé and I first decided to do this we were not exactly sure how a bed-and-breakfast like…read morethis would work because we are used to staying in normal hotels. But it was exactly what we were hoping it to be and EVERYTHING more. The experience as a whole was nothing short of PHENOMENAL. It was refreshing to get away and be around Moose and Tina who are such kind and whole hearted people that make you feel right at home. Plus they are SO fun to chat with. They went above and beyond to make the trip special. We started calling them "Mom and Dad" by the second day because they were taking such incredible care of us. The food was OUTSTANDING, we ate until we COULDN'T MOVE for every meal. The lodge is such a relaxing environment with so many cool elements to the decor and scenery. There is also awesome wildlife watching. A family of deer that come right up to the house and bald eagles that fly across the skyline. The stars at night WILL take your breath away (bring a telescope.) The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are all very spacious. There's not a single picture that will do the view justice from the top of the lodge but I have posted a few. It honestly looked like a green screen it was so beautiful. (note: None of my photos have been edited for this post. That cotton candy colored skyline is REAL! ) The fishing was FANTASTIC, the guides were hilarious and we so much fun. We caught at least 100 fish between the two of us over two days. It was so exciting and thrilling. (Fishing Highlights: Alan caught a rare California Golden and I caught a big brown trout.) Then, on the last day we kayaked on the Buffalo River and it was so much fun. The Buffalo River is hands-down the most beautiful rivers to kayak. Moose also helped us arrange the reservation for the kayaks. We stayed at the lodge over the Fourth of July holiday and at night we got to watch about 10 different firework shows from the balcony, near and far - you can see them all. I will never forget it. Overall, we will NEVER forget our experience and hope to go back as soon as possible. The White River Inn is a hidden gem. Don't hesitate. Make your reservation. The lodge has some of the best trophies from around the world creating a world-class feel, and rooms are spacious, high ceilings. Our room had a private porch and beds were awesome, bathroom with shower & tub was super nice. Huge deck overlooks the river and hummingbirds galore entertain morning coffee and evening cocktails. This place is fantastic and we will become regulars. Highly recommend it for a 1st class experience. Fishing guides were some of the best we've had and of course the fishing was amazing.

Tracey at the office was an absolute pleasure and made sure we had everything we needed and a delicious lunch. Our guides Chris & Jeremy were also amazing! We caught tons of trout right away and they were extremely patient and helpful with those of us that had never fished before. On our second day we just rented boats to go out on our own. Their staff on the dock was so helpful and even put line on some of our fishing poles for us to save us some time! Would highly recommend and would definitely fish with them again!
