I strongly recommend that you do not contract with Gregś Lawn & Landscaping to landscape and reseed a larger lawn. I contracted with Gregś Lawn & Landscaping in February of 2025 to level and reseed an approximately one acre yard. They were to: Bring in soil to fill in a low area running through the back yard. Bring in topsoil to fill in an area between the back porch and an existing shed Use a large tractor with a rotodarion soil renovator to regrade the entire yard. Make sure the yard was graded smooth eliminating any bumps and low areas. Hydro seed the entire graded areas. They did bring in soil to fill in the low area in the back yard. However, instead of regrading with a rotodarion, they used a large machine to scrape off the topsoil along with the existing grass and hauled this away. They then hydro seeded the bare ground areas using a large truck. The net result was: Over one third of the lawn ended up as mostly crab grass. The area between the back porch and the shed looked like scraped material from the rest of the yard rather than topsoil. It contained a lot of rock debris which I spent many hours picking out. Their scraping and seeding with large machinery left bumps and ruts over a large part of the yard. The ruts in the area that they filled in the back yard are so bad that I can only mow them at a crawl. All this was expressed several times to the person in charge of the landscaping, but to no avail. He said that the lawn was smoother than it was and no more work would be done to cover my concerns. read more

STAY AWAY. Don't waste your time or money. I spent $1.2k+ this winter for snow removal as I'm recovering from an injury and can't plow. This company is absolutely predatory and I feel for the seniors who they are scamming out of thousands each year. They will say they lay salt when they do not and charge you. They will lay salt when it's going to be 60 degrees the next day and charge you. My driveway was consistently the last driveway plowed each snowfall by 24 hours or more. They will drive right over your yard, push rocks into your yard, and dig up your grass. They won't fix any of these issues unless you're a "full service customer" which means they scam you for both snow removal and landscaping. Greg refused to acknowledge this on the phone saying this damage to my yard is all just part of snow removal. They finally laid new grass seed on part of my yard they dug up after a month + of me threatening to not pay my outstanding bill. They refused to fix the ruts or pick up rocks, and went straight to threatening small claims court. What an absolutely awful company. read more

FOr so many reasons over the last year and a half I would not recommend this company. Snow removal- They DESTROY your yard, rock beds, anything in the "way". I started doing my own sidewalk up to my house so they wouldn't make such a mess and they still charged for it! They charge $200-$300 for ice melt and they will lie about how many times they come to clear snow. Most recently they charged for an extra snow removal saying it was cold and windy with freezing rain- if you charge extra put it in the contracts! Lawn Care- They killed one of our trees and told us they'd replace it. 10 months later- no tree! Today when we spoke to them they said pay the bill from that lawn care date and we will replace it. Complete 180 from original agreement. They threaten you in voicemails but clearly have no intention of following through on their end. AVOID THIS PLACE!. read more

***UPDATE*** The small claims "threat" became a real thing when the sheriff came to my house to deliver small claims paperwork for $68... So YES! This company will really stoop that low!! Absolutely NO effort to resolve ineffective service, and will try to drag you through the mud over the fine print. Original review: I've used this service for three years and my lawn looks worse than it ever has. I wouldn't leave this review, but unfortunately after being threatened to be taken to small claims court over $68 I feel the need to share my story. I received a letter last fall saying they were switching over to ACH, in order to continue service you had to update your account with ACH info. I thought, great! I don't want to continue because my lawn looks terrible after 3 years of using them so I won't update to ACH. Fast forward to spring 2022, someone comes and does first round and leaves an invoice. I email and say I was surprised to see the invoice (since I hadn't updated to ACH payments) and honestly my lawn is awful and I don't want the service. They say I had to provide 30 day written notice to cancel. Invoice is still due. I asked someone to come look at my lawn, no one comes. I call them a couple months later because my lawn looks EVEN WORSE if possible.. (huge thistles, weeds of every variety) I tell them I do not feel that I should have to pay this invoice for a service I didn't expect to receive on top of the fact that 3 years of service has clearly not been effective. I showed pictures since no one would come out.. literally all I get in response is a threat to take me to small claims court if the invoice isn't paid. Like after all the money I had already paid wasn't enough, they really want to fight a customer over $68 rather than trying to mend a situation. Greg is absolutely the worst businessperson I have ever dealt with. Below I will add my past service experience, but today, even as a dissatisfied past customer, he found a way to completely piss me off. Unsolicited, he mailed a card, indicating a service appointment in two weeks. No problem, I thought, I will just call and decline the service. Not able to just make my request with whomever answered the phone, I'm transferred to Greg. After telling him I don't want the appointment, he says I have to send him an email to cancel it. Seriously, don't give this guy your money. There's a reason the reviews are so horrible across the board. Keep reading... I contracted with Greg for city required backflow inspection on my irrigation system at $65. The technician identified that the ball valve needed replacement, and said he had the part on the truck. I expected to simply be charged for the part. Instead I was charged an additional $65 for an additional hour of labor. The owner's response was that they charge a one hour minimum and "try getting a plumber to do that job and see what it costs." Apparently it was more important to gain another $65 for ten minutes of work (from a technician already on site) than to retain future business. read more

Stay away from these idiots. Not only do the do a piss poor quality job on grooming your property, they tear your stuff up, and walk away. This just happened. They tore my internet cable off the side of my house, dragged it over by the adjacent property, and left it. I get home that evening and have no connectivity to do essential work. 10:00 at night I finally manage to get the ISP Tech on site to get me up an running so I can work. These people fertilized my lawn against my will. His contract was to do the neighbor's yard but I guess it is difficult to read my address in 9 inch tall letters on the front of my house. I keep my lawn natural with a lot of flower beds. Now I have I don't know what on my lawn and in the beds. Plus he left fertilizer on the sidewalk and driveway to run off into the waterways and kill the fish with the next rain. I would avoid this company like the plague. read more

BEWARE: THEY WILL NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK!!! Paid them to cap off sprinkler lines and disconnect water to our new pool area. Turned the sprinklers on and thousands of gallons of water pushed the pool walls in. They claimed it to their insurance and they blame a possible faulty valve. Apparently this company does not lose customers because they DO NOT pay attention to STOP SERVICE orders. Back at the beginning of the year I received the usual letter informing me that if I wanted to change any service, I needed to notify them in writing. I wrote a formal letter, cancelling any and all services immediately and sent it back in their return envelope. They showed up at my house months later and started to aerate my lawn. I heard them outside and ran out and halted them mid-operation. I gave them a copy of the letter I had sent. Now I get a bill for charges. I would not recommend this company to my enemies. This guy is a total scam artist. We purchased some snow equipment from him which he confirmed were only two years old and sent us pictures of products that were two years old upon arriving to New Jersey we found out 1 had a fake serial number and the other was manufactured in 2013. He was told to take a $500 deposit on our credit card until we inspected the materials he never returned our calls and charged are credit card $20,000. If I could give 0 stars I would. Every year they want to do our backflow test. We will tell them we will call if want them out. This year, they showed up while I was at work and my minor children were in the house (babysitting the younger ones). They were waiting for another neighbor to drop their kids off for babysitting too when the Greg's employee showed up. They said I was not home and he said that is ok. He did the test WITHOUT our permission AND with just minor children in our house. Talked to our attorney who said we could sue them for trespassing and refuse to pay bill. On our most recent invoice we were overcharged by double the amount. We were charged for lawn mowing that was not performed and for a service we had already cancelled last year. However, the owner refuses to adjust our invoice. Additionally, plants that were installed in a landscaping project we paid for last year have still not been replaced, although our contract guarantees it. (And that landscaping project turned out to be quite the fiasco, as well). However, the owner's attitude is: "I've been in business for over thirty years. Don't tell me how to run my business."
