Greg repaired a few of my shutters during the first week of Oct. Came on time and fixed them in a timely manner. He is a nice gentleman but no warranty on workmanship, which I realized only when one of the shutter's staples popped out and reached out to him. He said that I will have to pay the trip charge to come out and fix the staple he repaired less than a month ago. It popped with normal ussage. The original repair cost was reasonable but not cheap so I am now worried about all the ones that were repaired. Hopefully they will last. Fingers crossed.. We have wood blinds that have served us well for 25+ years. When the strings that support the slats ("ladders") on one of the 8 foot blinds broke, we called Greg's Blind Repair. He quoted me a price over the phone $439.50 without even inspecting my blinds problem. I should have asked "what will do for that?" He arrived and realized (and said multiple times) they needed to be restrung only because rollers were excellent and were not bent. He was here exactly 30 minutes. Gave me the bill as quoted and I said really? All you had to do was restring them. He knocked off $41. BIG DEAL. ($13+ a minute!) He did fix them. But he is a highway robber. Had my BR blinds restrung (one panel not 2) for $125 a couple years ago. Obviously it wasn't him. Hope I don't need anymore blind but I won't be calling him again. I had a broken tilt mechanism in a 26 year old large faux wood blind. I called Greg late in the afternoon to see if he could help me out. He was driving to another job so he asked me to send him some pictures of what needed to be repaired and my contact info. As he promised he called me first thing in the morning with a price quote and a 2 hour window of when he could swing by. He was right on time and stuck to his price quote. As mentioned in other reviews he even took his shoes off to walk on my carpet though it's so old I told him it wasn't necessary! He took the blind out to his van and had it fixed in no time! This is the guy you want. There may be others just as good but I defy you to find someone better. I had 5 20 year old faux wood blinds that had various issues. I called Greg based on the great reviews and could not be more pleased. He answered on a weekend and let me know he'd call me Monday to schedule. He did and scheduled for a time on Thursday, he is in Mesa and I am all the way in Carefree. I let him know there was no rush, he could schedule us when he was up this way anyway. He said he would call about 1/2 hour from arrival. He did, almost exactly. He arrived and went right to work. I was so impressed, he had a full workshop in his stand up van. He took each blind out, did what it needed and brought it back in. There was a bunch of furniture and stuff in the way but he just moved it and put it all back. 1.5 hours later I saw him take his ladder out and I went out to see. The blinds were all like new. He had quoted a price before seeing them after asking a couple of easy to answer questions. It didn't change, exactly the price he quoted. I had forgotten to tell him that one of the blinds was getting impeded by the new backsplash we had installed. He trimmed the 6 slats with no worries. If you need blinds repaired, in fact if you think they can't be repaired and you might have to replace them, give him a shot. From all the other reviews and my experience this is a person who will not BS you and will not ever be satisfied with a job that doesn't leave you with new or near new looking blinds. read more

On a Saturday, the tilt mechanism on my bedroom venetian blinds wore out and the blinds wouldn't open or close. I called several places to only get a recoeding or no answer. Greg came to the house to repair my 3Day vertical blinds on my sliding glass door. They were missing those pesky small plastic clips, that hold the blinds in place. Since the blinds were 15 years old, I wasn't sure that they could be repaired. Leave it to Greg, who has his own van full of all things to repair blinds!!! He not only fixed those but when he came back into our home he told us he replaced the other 2 cords to make our 5 year old blinds like new ( no price change). Our sort-of-new rescue dog went into full panic mode when I had to take my wife to a scheduled surgery early in the morning last week. Her reaction was to chew on a few of our Norman Clearview shutter blades while we were gone. I found Greg after calling other sources on Yelp, and was directed to him by Southwest Blinds (thanks). He knew the product immediately and was able to quote a reasonable repair price over the phone, to which I agreed. He came to pick up the panels with the damaged blades that afternoon and advised the blade replacement could take up to a week. Two days later he called and advised that he was ready to reinstall. I found Greg from another vendor that no longer was doing blind repairs. I contacted him and was given the option of having him come out to the house or bringing in the blind to his office. Since I already had the blind in my car, I just drove up to his location and left the wood blind with him. He said he could have the blind repaired by 9am the next morning. I had some meetings already set for the next day and time was tight. After a couple of hours I received a call from him telling me that the repairs were complete and I could stop by the same day. During the the course of the conversation he came across as sarcastic and rude (my daughter was in the car with me when I talked to him and confirmed the same). I can only assume that he is independently wealthy, because he immediately told me he was too expensive and referred me to a company in Mesa. I insisted, that I wanted to do business with him. He told me to text my personal information, to a different cell phone number that I had called, and he would get back to me in the morning. I still haven't heard from him.
