I was so pleased with everything that was done in his office by Sally Reddy and Warren Thefeld as I needed many amended tax returns to be done for prior tax years due to fraud from a financial adviser. They did such great work getting things sorted out and corrected. I was elated with the results. I have since changed my mind about Thefeld & Associates after Sally Reddy left, I think sometime in 2017 and someone else took over my tax preparation. I am very disappointed with their work and lack of professionalism. I emailed back and forth today with Warren Thefeld regarding the multiple issues/problems that I am experiencing still regarding my 2018 tax return mainly to let him know the shoddy work that was being done by his staff in his office so that he can correct it and not allow what happened to me happen to anyone else and this is the final email that I received from him. A friend of my husband recommended Richard. We used him for 2 years and both year there was some kind of mix up with our taxes. The year we moves, sold our home and had a child, we wound up paying $6000 in federal taxes. I have NEVER owed the gov't so imagine my surprise. We went to H&R block for a second opinion and they said it seemed right so we paid it. The next year we didn't owe as much because we changed our withholdings and had Richard look at things halfway through the year to make sure we didn't get any BIG surprises again. We paid what Richard said we owed but later on we got a letter from the IRS stating that Richard had misreported or neglected to report something so we wound up paying AGAIN! I was so mad and feel that he really screwed up our taxes. Needless to say I am back to doing my own taxes again and have not had any issues with our most recent return. The second year, they filed our taxes late so we received penalties and they never took ownership so we went to someone else for our 2024 taxes. This year we decided we'd try them again... big mistake. We submitted our tax information through their app and I sent them a message requesting they file an extension for us. I didn't receive any confirmation but assumed, since we signed the form stating they were going to be our tax preparer, that they filed the extension. I have spent WEEKS trying to get a hold of them. Through their app, their email, and phone with no response. I just got off the phone with the IRS and an extension was never filed so now we have until the end of the month to file.
