Wonderful staff. My children have gone here all their lives and it's always been a good experience

Dr. Apostle saw my kid 3 times and all 3 times the dental hygienist and Dr. Apostle were very friendly and wonderful with her. The reason for my poor review is the reception. My billing was off and this started at the beginning of COVID. I called and talked to them and they half-heartedly explained the billing. Long story short, I eventually was sent to collections for a $17 bill after already paying my co-pay after the visit. I called asked them to explain why it was higher after I already paid some. She was extremely rude to me after I asked if I could pay it off to them and just deal with my insurance and said: Uck, no! I then asked if I could get a new appointment for her and my son, and she very rudely said that it had to be paid off before she could invite us back. I just tried to pay it off? She hung up really quickly after that and I even asked my husband if I was the one being rude on the phone because I was so shell shocked about how rude I was treated. So that's the story of how I got sent to collections over a bill that didn't make sense, tried to pay it off, then left their practice. read more

This McDonald's of dentistry took me to collections over like $15 Really not even a call or anything first. That is realistically the cost of a Big Mac meal and milkshake. O and get this it was a mistake on their part I won't be back. The one star is for the new receptionist Chelsey she rocks and managed to fix this bs hopefully before it ruined my credit. read more

Today was our first visit to Dr. Apostle's office and I was really impressed with him and his staff. Everyone was nice, he was practical and really personable. My son is autistic and he was extremely accommodating. He is our new dentist for sure. read more

Dr. Apostle is the best in a field that requires a lot of patience for tiny humans and tiny teeth. My son had a traumatizing first dental experience elsewhere and it took a long time for me to be able to fully trust another provider. I knew I had made the right choice the moment I saw Dr. Apostle interact with my son, he really is amazingly patient and gentle. My son now LOVES the dentist. It's such a good feeling to be able to sit back, relax and fully trust your child is in good hands. I guarantee you'll get that same feeling upon meeting Dr. Apostle and his awesome staff. read more

Best pediatric dentist in Santa Rosa. Love love love Dr Apostle! My daughter is very comfortable with him. We moved to Portland recently and she still talks about how much she misses her old dentist. She doesn't even remotely fear dentists at all and I owe it to how good Dr Apostle was with her. She's had so much work done and is almost eager to go to the dentist because she feels brave and strong after. Life changing experience and wish we could still have you as our dentist! ALL OF THIS FOR $17 I want to clarify that Dr. Apostle is great. The issue I had was my daughter had a dental emergency and she was denied because of a past due amount of $17. My ex wife and I are going through a divorce and we moved so the bill wasn't getting to us. This is the second time it went to collections but neither of us got a bill because of a move. They called my ex wife and left a message but never clarified there was an outstanding debt. I was never contacted or notified even though I'm the primary on the insurance. The office is so unorganized. They said I owe $600 but when I called the debt collection service they said I paid that in March of 2018. Money or being irresponsible is not the issue obviously because as soon as I found out when I was finally contacted by debt collections, I paid it. ON TOP OF I IT ALL all it was a filling that he did fell out within the 20 months so it is his responsibility to refill it. Bottom line is that they won't see her now and SHE IS IN PAIN and we can't get her in to other dentists due to the pandemic because they are not taking new patients. We have explained our case to the other offices and they all agree that our story is tragic and they don't agree with not treating a child because of this small debt. I even offered to pay what is owed to get her in and they denied that as well. Obviously I'm not the first to have a negative run in with the office if you read other Yelp reviews. I hope Dr. Apostle fires whoever necessary (office manager) to keep him in good standing because we like him as a dentist. read more

Dr. Apostles was our kids dentist for serval years. He does a good job as a dentist but as you can see when the condition of his office that it is poorly managed. His office manager is not good at her job and makes mistakes often. They missed quoted us, overcharged us, screwed up on insurance and then send us to collections. Super disappointing but typical of poorly run operations. The disappointing part was the lies. You can be a good dentist but if you can't run the rest of the business properly then that's an issue. read more

Dr Apostle is AWESOME and very kid friendly! However his secretary Paula is very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL ! The prices seem to be inaccurate so be sure to get a receipt and break down she told me three different prices for my co pay! Just be aware! I'd give Dr Apostle 5 stars for his work and knowledge. His secretary 0!!! Oh and the off is EXTREMELY outdated! read more

Friendly staff. Prompt service. So I just took my daughter for our first visit last week Friday. She just loved it and asked the techs if she could come back everyday and have her teeth cleaned. Because my daughter has a cavity we are due back on Friday and she is excitedly looking forward to seeing them. read more

Parents beware! We never post reviews but In effort to save another family from the same experience this is it. Awful bedside manner. My 4 year old daughter had 2 teeth pulled and she required anesthesia. She was given a nasal spray of relaxant which scared her to death followed by being held down physically to insert needle for anesthesia. We left feeling totally broken hearted for her and she is now very afraid of the dentist. My husband said if he wasn't so shocked he would have stopped it all right then and there and left. After waking they didn't leave enough time between patients for her to wake up so they told us we had to leave. She still had blood all over her lips and bruising on cheek bones the next day. We were all very traumatized and still recovering from the awful experience. read more

My son is 5 and has been seeing Dr. Apostle for about 2 1/2 years. He loves going to the dentist and feels very comfortable there. Dr. Apostle has a very gentle nature and his staff is great with kids. Also, more than one time, I have randomly come across other parents who have used Dr. Apostle for their now adult kids and they have raved about how much they love him! read more

Dr. Apostle is wonderful. We tried a few other childrens dentists in the area prior to going to him and nobody compared. He is one of the most talented, pediatric dentists in the area who continues to stay well informed and educated regarding the latest research. He is not only a great dentist, but he is a truly genuine, caring person. He really wants the best for your kids! Both our 14 year old and our 19 month old see Dr. Apostle, he is great with all ages! This is the best office for dental care. My teenage son had not been to the dentist in awhile. Dr. Apostle was super friendly, easy going and worked out a great plan for my son. His staff is wonderful! They are super pleasant, easy to work with and fast! We have gone in for 3 different appointments and are always out within 30 mins. I highly recommend this office for your children. I only wish they took adults! read more

Dr. Apostle is incredible. He has taken such good care of my daughter and all of her dental needs. He really knows what he's doing, and he does it in such a caring and gentle way. You can tell he loves what he does and has SO MUCH integrity. My 5 year old daughter goes to him and she really feels safe and trusts him (which is rare for her). I hope he doesn't ever retire!! Now onto Angela. His receptionist/biller/book keeper/scheduler. She is one in a million. She has gone above and beyond for us in every way. Making sure we are taken care of, and always returns all phone calls, answers all my questions or concerns etc. She also is very caring, nurturing and loving. She also has a strong loyalty to Dr. Apostle (from what I can tell). I think that's super important. He's very lucky to have her working there. This office is a great team and we won't ever leave their office unless we are forced to. read more

We have been bringing our daughter to see Dr. Apostle for the last 4 years- I can't say enough about how great he and his staff are! My daughter actually gets exited when I tell her it's time to go to the dentist. Dr. Apostle is gret about putting the patient at ease and very thorough in the exam. Gregory Apostle has taken care of both my children's teeth since the beginning. He is wonderful with children. My children have never had a bag experience and always looked forward to seeing their dentist. We are all very sad that my youngest has turned 19 and will be moving on. Dr. Apostle is great with kids! I took my son to him when he was about 20 months old and had fell and hit one of his teeth. The tooth had turned gray, and Dr. Apostle was very informative about the tooth being "bruised" and how we needed to monitor it. He was gentle with his suggestion that we kick the binky, and related on a human level that he had a hard time weaning his own children off of it. My son is now 4 and loves going to the denitst. Dr. Apostle breaks them in gently, and the first couple times he sees a very young child he doesn't try to lay them down and clean their teeth, he just looks, shows them the tools, lets them hold the mirrors. Highly recommended as a pediatric dentist! He and his staff have been great to us so far! read more

Brought my daughter in for her first visit. I had explained prior that she had just had an extremely unfortunate and traumatic oral surgery. Whole office was so very cool. Understood she would be freaked out, and Dr. Apostle was fabulous. She is so comfortable that she is actually ready to go back and get her teeth cleaned. I was looking for a pediatric dentist for my son and got a stellar recommendation for Dr. Apostle from a co-worker so I made an appointment. I was so happy to find out they have Saturday appointments!! Took my 4 and a half year old in today for his pre Kinder checkup and he was a little shy at first but warmed up and just loved the whole thing. Our 3 kids just had their first check-up with Dr. Apostle. He was wonderful. The youngest was a bit uncomfortable being only her second trip to see a dentist. He took the time to make her at ease while still being able to examine her teeth. Dr. Apostle was very friendly and personable. Dr. Apostle helped my 4-year old girl over her terror of dentists (which had been reinforced by prior dental experiences). He patiently, skillfully, gently and humanely gained her trust, then took care of her problems, and has taken excellent care of her and her brother for the last 6 years. My 8 year old son recently had an abscessed molar (baby tooth) and our normal dentist is out of town so I needed to find someone local, fast, as he was in a lot of pain. Dr. Apostle's office was able to get him in immediately. My son eventually had to have the tooth pulled. Dr. Apostle and his staff were amazing. My son was actually smiling when we left the office after the tooth was pulled. (And my son was in such great shape afterwards that in the evening, he asked me if he could have popcorn while we watched a movie! Not that I would allow it, but the fact that he wasn't hesitant to eat something like popcorn after his tooth was pulled was surprising!) I would recommend Dr. Apostle for anyone looking for a great pediatric dentist. I am going to start bringing all three of my kids to Dr. Apostle from now on. read more

This review is solely based on the attitude and business practices from the person "managing" Dr. Apostle's office. I had a bill for $9.00 dollars. I mailed the payment within a week of receiving the bill. The payment gets lost in the mail and this ruthless woman, send us to collection. This is how everything unfolded, I got a call from a collection company, indicating that we've been sent to collection from Dr. Apostle's office. I said, this is not possible, I already sent the check. I contacted the administrator of my HSA and the check I had mailed never cleared. The only conclusion I had is the bill was lost in the mail. Additionally, the bill wasn't even over 30 day past due, which based on the statement I received, Dr. Apostle has up to 120 days to collect his receivable. This is also a GAAP rule. I'm pretty sure, she has no clue what GAAP is and how collection of receivable works. When I came to the office to speak regarding this matter, she was so rude and unprofessional. I honestly don't know how she remains employed by Dr. Apostle. She even brought the excuse that "in the past we have been late with our payments." Really? Of course, insured patients are going to be 30-60 days behind while the insurance notifies how much is the co-payment. I will also be writing a formal complaint with the CA Dental Board and will provide documentation that the business practices being used by this dental office are unethical and discriminatory. read more
