As a patient for many years with this office for routine teeth cleaning religiously two times per year with my hygienist Heather, I was scheduled in advanced for 8 months and received text messages confirming my appointment on three occasions which I DID CONFIRM with them, then on the day of my appointment was dismissed by Dr. Anderson, because he assumed that I would not consent to x-rays or an exam. I want to state that I am a physician of 41 years and I know my body! I had mentioned on my previous visit that I would consent to an exam and x-rays would be only an option to me only if I had a condition regarding my teeth and cranium if I had an issue. I take a minimum of 3-5 sets of x-rays every day in my clinic in Santa rosa and have always stated to my hygienist when I have had TOO MUCH scatter radiation. Let me explain to those of you who are laymen... THERE id NO SAFE LRVEL of RADIATION as it is cumulative...!!! I had always told them that if I had an issue with regards to my teeth or cranium, then I would be the FIRST to tell them to take some films to accurately diagnose a condition! I want to repaet, I am a physician and know my body' I can only feel that this office with there unethical tactics are only mercenary NOW and do not have the patient's interest at heart. \ after this experience I feel violated and feel that they practice unethically and are only concerned about the dollar. Not only was I bummed about the cost but I knew my two front teeth would never look the same. I called FG Dentistry they were able to get me in for a consult the very next morning. Are they friendly and professional? Yes. Do they do a good job in cleanings and fillings? Sure. We just can't get over the fact that they a bit pushy when it come do having work done, and then they struggle to get the numbers right with your insurance. I know it is not easy, but come on, that is your job, kind of, you know. So we end up being pressured to have done a little extra, so they can charge a little extra at the end as well. I was interested is getting my dental work done here, I've tried contacting them several times after hearing great things from a friend and never once received any response in each of the times I've contacted them over a 6 month period. There's a huge difference with being busy and just plain snobbery. My last time I reached out was over a week ago with ZERO responses. I've e-mailed, and called and even messaged this dentistry online and no response. If the Dentist has a full clientele let me know instead of leaving my hanging... This office really can demystify the old saying " as much fun as going to the dentist". While it's not exactly the most fun experience, the staff do make your visit pleasant and comfortable. I've been a client/patient for over 20 years and have always been treated with kindness and wonderful service. The office is knowledge and experienced in working with various insurance carriers ( they specialize in TMJ and other related areas) so they receive referrals from multiple offices in the area. I find all the staff, from the front office to the back office to be pleasant, and service oriented. Love, love, love the hygienists I have seen over the years. I was most impressed a few years back; the hygienist I had been seeing for a decade retired and when I had my first visit with the new hygienist, I learned the two had a conversation about my treatment plan including personal notes to help familiarize the new hygienist. Normally, I am not one to write reviews, but I was so incredibly pleased with the service at Fountaingrove Dentistry, I couldn't hold back! As a new patient, I had a wonderful experience here. I was so scared to go back to dentist because it has been so long and I didn't have an insurance card, but Jessie, the practice coordinator, made everything so much easier for me. She contacted my insurance company and asked for my information before setting up my first appointment. I filled out a questionnaire before my first appointment, so they were very prepared and knew I would probably need work because I hadn't been to the dentist in so long. Dr. Erlach did an amazing job helping me plan out my next steps to have healthy, white and clean teeth and healthy pink gums. My hygienist also did a great job giving me tips for proper flossing and brushing techniques that have helped me greatly improve my oral health! The front desk staff were also friendly and abiding by all safety protocols, wearing masks, checking temperatures, and asking patients to sanitize their hands. Doctors are great and personable. Staff not so much. Short, quick and do not take the time to be understanding or ask... hey whats going on... you missed a couple of appointments? Is there another time that might work better....??? If you miss two... and they charge you for it... They dump you. Even if you have been going there for years. I fly from Los Angeles to have dental work done here! I have been a patient of Dr. Erlach for more years than I can remember. I always feel welcomed in his office at Fountaingrove Dentistry and well taken care of from the waiting room to the dental chair. I've had quite a spectrum of other dentists, one who just had the latest technology and was a terrible dentist, and another who was quite a good dentist but still used painfully old technology. Dr. Erlach's office is the perfect combination in my book: they keep up to date with the latest technology and keep their patients comfortable with their ability to communicate their deep knowledge and experience of dentistry. Recently, I had to get one of my front teeth replaced (due to an Earth Ball accident over 15 years ago if you're curious!). Dr. Erlach took the time to educate me on the process, worked closely with a local periodontist (Dr. Uemura) who performed the actual extraction, and placed me in great hands with one of Fountaingrove's receptionists, Teresa, who helped coordinate my appointments with my travel schedule and helped follow up with my insurance company (who had multiple interpretations of their own policies). When friends and family learn that I had one of my main front teeth replaced, I can't tell you how many times they respond with astonishment as the peer inquisitively and more closely into my mouth: "Wow. It looks totally natural." Most importantly to me, my tooth also works, as good as it ever did. And, for what actually took place, the process was as comfortable and enjoyable as I could imagine it to be!
