Large drink menu and very reasonably priced (considering it's downtown.) Perfect pre-game spot. Limited food menu so don't come for a real meal. Also came to a silent disco here in the past. Not so, this April 4/15/2026... as we (best husband ever and me) had the utmost, gold star, VIP experience at Ironworks for the, "How Does If Feel? The Music of Bob Dylan and The Band," with Chest Fever and Tyler Bagwell. Perfect VIP Balcony seating, great food, and adult beverages, in addition to professional and accommodating servers. Classy in a welcoming, hometown, feel-good kind of way! We loved the performance and tribute to some of the best music of all-time. The keyboard player - Jody Bagley - was exceptional! We are now massive fans and followers! This review of one of Buffalo's prized music venues would not be complete without a 10-Star rating for Gracie Vesneske. Every customer service entity, venue, and business wishes and prays for someone like Gracie on their team! Outstanding communication, brilliant attention to detail, and over the top follow through - makes Gracie the Great irreplaceable. Oh, what a night!

There is all sorts of interesting stuff in it, including a dog grooming place, a haircutting place, a really nice gym, a massage studio, a place for a quick breakfast or lunch, a nice high-end restaurant. There's also plenty of offstreet parking for the tenants. It isn't covered. There one and two bedroom apartments here. The way they reuse the reclaim space is really nice. I can't say enough about this space. Update 140 2021

The spreads included a chopped olive tapas, a apricot mostarda and a caramelized onion dish. These could be enjoyed on the toast points or along with the roasted garlic goat cheese. There was also a cash bar. The event was a way for several merchants to display their wares, among them Blue Table Chocolates, Tommyrotter Distillery, Rebel Ride and several artisans. The wait staff was great, replenishing the various platters and serving trays of tasty mini-potato pancakes and boneless chicken wing bites throughout the evening. They also picked up plates, cans and bottles, taking them back to the kitchen for disposal vs. there being many unsightly trash cans throughout the room. This also added to the event, making the room more attractive.

I love that this venue is so spacious, well lit, there's lot of natural lighting, high ceilings, it's well ventilated and it's carpeted. For this particular event "The Whiskey Riot" I also overheard people saying there were more venues last year and they'd like to see more come next year. There's a ton of room to put vendors around the facility and allow for everyone to walk around easily. For this event, there were two food trucks outside and inside, they had a variety of free chips and granola bars for people to choose from, as well as water. There was a large seating area off to the side just to hang out and enjoy your snack or meal from the truck. Coat check is available, they accept tips only. I had a really great time here with my sons, I tried 11 different vendors and even though there were long lines, everyone was in a great mood, enjoying themselves. We brought a Whiskey Riot tee shirt and yes, we'll be back next year!

Ring the buzzer and they will come let you in (be patient, sometimes they may need to walk to the door from the other side of the building). The staff is friendly and helpful, and happy to answer questions. There is a wood shop, a metal shop, a fabric area, a Cricut machine, embroidery machine, 3D printer, laser cutters, and all kinds of other interesting tools to make stuff. They offer classes, and let people use the tools after taking safety classes if you show up during open shop hours when the supervisor of the space is there. They rent out small spaces as incubators and offer classes and guidance for growing businesses. If you have ideas of a thing you want to make, chances are there is somebody here who can teach you how to make it. The organization is very much based around community and sharing knowledge. If you are at all curious, I highly recommend the tour.

As I mentioned previously the Foundry the incubator for a variety of business that make their home here. I recently attended the holiday market where a number of the vendors that make the Foundry home were open and many visiting crafters. Many if not all of these vendors host a class or two that for a reasonable price you can get hands on to learn a new skill. So far I've taken 3 and I can tell you these classes are small, intimate and really give you a hands on experience that really makes the class worth it. Some of these resident creators include a company that makes pucks and baseballs into bottle openers, a metal worker, glass blower, jewelry maker, a wooden frame bicycle maker and a man that makes bird feeders that resemble Frank Lloyd Wright windows. Most of them have etsy or other stores to browse what is available for purchase. For me, The Foundry is about creation, creativity and the access to be able to taken part in it. To work with skilled craftsmen, hear their stories, get tips while making something in the process. So check out a class or 10, it's worth it!
