Never been but I put in a thing on KBB to get an offer on my fathers car and truck. They contacted me and I told them the situation (never even mentioned a sorry for your loss). They refused to even give me an idea of their valuation, so I declined to work with them. Over the next couple of weeks they kept texting and calling even after I'd told them many times to stop. Bad people to do business with. Made worse for by the fact that I am in the process of taking care of my father's (a Vietnam veteran) estate. They seemed to take my requests to cease contact as a joke. I'm not sure what the sales manager Todd's personal problems are, but he is clearly not suited for working with the public. read more

The short = They are Criminals and will gouge the crap out of you! The long = Our vehicle had a wheel bearing going out. They charged me $200 to tell me that (which I already knew). Then proceed to tell me that it will cost me a little over a $1,000 to repair. Total price with "diagnostic" $1,200. FOR A WHEEL BEARING! Checked on cost of the part. $300 bucks. They also had to warn me that if they did the repair they "might" damage the spindle and therefore it would cost me $1,600. Which I'm certain if I had allowed them to do the repair they would have damaged the spindle. Absolutely a criminal operation. You have been warned! read more

On October 18, 2025, I signed a written agreement with Gregg Young Buick GMC of Indianola to sell my 2021 Subaru Ascent for $24,500 as is. The dealership inspected and test-drove the vehicle before signing, stated that it "ran great," and had full access to the VIN for a Carfax report. After taking possession of the vehicle, the dealership has not paid the agreed amount and has instead attempted to renegotiate the price to $23,000. A week later, the dealership produced a post-sale repair estimate of about $2,650 for cosmetic items such as hail dents and a small body dent--issues visible at the time of inspection. The vehicle was also driven roughly 50 miles after the sale while still in my name and without payment. I have remained ready to deliver the title upon receipt of full payment, but as of now the dealership still holds the vehicle and has not honored the signed contract. I hope management will promptly resolve this matter and pay the full agreed amount so I can update this review with a positive outcome. read more

Highly DO NOT recommend this dealership in Indianola. I will say the staff are friendly, but that's part of their job to be. I recently bought a vehicle from them and am very disappointed all together. To start, they failed to tell me there was any damage to it prior to driving over an hour there to look at it. Once there, they informed me of a dent and offered to fix it 1st thing and we noticed a few other things needed fix as well so covered that. We decided to buy it, they were very pushy with all their extended warranties after I said NO 3 different times they still put it on the paper and luckily I caught it before closing the deal and had it removed. They didn't let me leave with my vehicle and brought it to me 2 days later still unfixed. A week later got it to be fixed and they fixed the big dent but created a smaller one on the side and over sprayed white paint in the interior of my vehicle. At this point I'm a little annoyed at their services all together and that they've had my vehicle more than I have. To follow, they forgot to give me the 2nd key that they offered me so once again made a trip up there to get the key and they decided to move my vehicle while I was waiting. Get in my vehicle and it immediately starts clunking as I turn out of the parking spot they placed it it. I was not happy but I also had my small child and it was sleeting outside so I decided to get home and deal with it from there. The next day the clunking got worse and felt unsafe so made an appointment with a local licensed mechanic and had to wait 2weeks to drive it once again. At this point I've drove it maybe 3weeks max out of the 2mo I've owned it. Disappointed to hear from the local mechanic that they (Gregg Young) sold me a vehicle that had taken a VERY hard hit under the front end and should have been a salvaged vehicle. He gave me a whole list of what was wrong and replaced on my vehicle. Including it having cheap, junk and actual salvage yard parts on it, my right brake caliper was really loose and several other things. At this point I'm mad that they didn't disclose any of this information with me and also serviced it as being a safe vehicle to drive. I contacted them and all they offered was to let their mechanic (same people who said it was safe to begin with) to look at it for me. To sell a vehicle to anyone with break issues alone is not ok or safe and shouldn't be in business. I asked several times to talk with their General Manager and they refused to give me his number or email. Save your money for a place who cares more about human lives than a quick buck. read more

Drove 6 hours round trip to buy a truck. They upped the price by $1000 but told me they would honor the price because I screenshot the ad. Said the truck was certified in their ad either was a flat out lie or just trying to mislead customers to make a buck. Was told "it's figured into all of our vehicles" useless service addons and warranties, but actually the add the costs on in the paperwork. My opinion is very dishonest dealership. Will never return to Gregg Young at any location. 1- after a tire rotation on my 2016 equinox, they did not realign the tire sensors to be connected to the correct tire. I then got a flat 3 weeks later and did not look at the correct tire, due to the sensors being hooked up wrong. This happened at the Indianola location. 2- When I got said flat tire, I took it to the Norwalk location to be patched, as I was in the Norwalk area at the time. I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours while they patched the tire. They were not pleased I was there, got many dirty looks. Then they LOST my special locking lug nut. NOW I HAVE TO PURCHASE ONE OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. When I called to see if they had any notes in my account to see where it may have been placed, they couldn't even find my name in their system. Bought a car from this dealership, would not recommend. The salesperson was great, but it all went downhill after that. The finance department didn't know how to close out the deal and could only give me a purchase summary. It made for a huge hassle while trying to finance through my bank. He finally admitted he didn't know how to close the deal, but when I went back in to pickup the car he blamed it on the banker. This resulted in me overpaying because they didn't give the bank the correct amount. I needed a refund and it took well over a month and plenty of my time to get. As we continually got closer to the expiration of my paper plates (4 days before expiration), we had an issue again. I had already called 4 times about the refund and the status of my plates/registration only to be told, "I'll handle it." I called the county treasurer and found out that the registration paperwork had been returned to the dealership because it hadn't been filled out properly. When I tried to get a hold of the people responsible I was told they had moved to the Norwalk location. After calling the Norwalk location I found out the paperwork was sitting at the Indianola office and they didn't forward it on to the appropriate people. The Norwalk team took care of me, went down and waited for my plates, as well as issued me the refund I needed. I give great praise to the Norwalk location for handling this professionally and efficiently. I would say that the Indianola location has a lot of work to do in order to better serve their customers. read more
