A lot of the reviews said the staff was rude, and a bunch also said they were charged unfairly for "damage" to the boat or propellor. We took videos of everything when we got the boat before leaving the marina and decided we would take a chance. We also took the insurance so the most we could lose was $250. Given the cost of these rentals was less than many others, we decided it was worth the risk. Our experience was perfect with Bill's. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Patient with our kiddos questions. Informative about the lake and their advice was spot on. The return process also went smoothly and we were not charged for any damage since we returned the boat in the same condition as when we started. I would call them first next time because of the reasonable prices and great service. We had an absolute blast on the lake and spent the entire time fishing, cruising and tubing. Used up almost all the gas too!

We did the closed water training at a local high school, and the instructors were well versed and super helpful. Shout out to Lang and Scott for being great instructors and so patient. To top off the whole experience, we decided to travel to Florida to do our 4 open water dives that are required for certification and two of the owners (Kim & Ed) were awesome enough to take us down there and teach us in the ocean rather than in the quarry. What an amazing experience from start to finish. They were absolutely awesome and we had such a great time. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get their scuba certifications. Seriously Mike and the entire staff make you feel like you are a part of the gang. To not come here and experience rafting at the top of the mountain with Mike and the rest of crew of Adventure Sports are fun memories and experiences missed out on. I cannot praise these guys high enough. 10/10 Will return! We booked our raft with Mike the day before because the spots fill up fast.

When I called it seemed like was interrupting something.. he asked if he could call me back. Didn't ask for a name. He did call back. He was polite on the phone and was able to quickly make our reservation. I still felt like something was missing. I wasn't asked how many people. I had to ask. Wasn't told no pets. Or ANY rules/regulations. I asked how early I could pick up and that was pretty much it. When we went to get the boat we were told our reservation was canceled. No one in our group canceled that reservation! They said someone called and claimed to be getting deployed for military. I was told we could pick up as early as 9AM, but we came to pick up after 11AM. Thinking they just gave our boat away??? The people in front of us did not have a boat reservation. Took over an hour to get the boat. They gave us a "consolation" boat. The thing to pull rafts on the back was broke. They gave us a rope to try to figure another way to tow a raft. Boat was dirty. Canopy was taped together. No anchor. Kids ended up having fun so the day was a success. Day two it was raining off and on. The lake was a little choppy. We stopped to fish and jump in. Our boat wouldn't restart. We called into the marina and the helped us trouble shoot. We had to tighten the battery terminals. Then the canopy started to fall apart the last hour. My daughter's boyfriend was trying to hold it together as we were trying to get out of the rain. It was just falling apart. My husband and daughter were both hit with the bar when it came down. When we returned to the dock, it was like they were waiting to charge us with damages that they knew were going to occur. There was a lady there who was not there when we picked up the boat. She was yelling at us about the canopy and blaming us for the battery wires becoming loose. She said that happens when you hit bumps in the water. We were charged over $200 for gas. The gas gage was broke so we didn't realize that it was low. We were still fine with that charge. They charged us a $150 fill up fee on top of the $200.. also fine with that. We misunderstood the return boat time. First night was 7:00 and second night was 5:00. We returned at 5:30 the second night so that was a $50 charge.. our fault! The guy running the desk was nice, but not super informative on a lot of their "rules". The lady when we returned the boat was horribly rude. She left but the called into the desk. We could hear her telling the guy to "deal with them". She told him that we owed over $1400.00. Added an additional $900 for the broken canopy which was already breaking when we took it out. After reading all these reviews from over 7 years ago, I can't believe they are still in business. Lesson learned.... Read the Yelp reviews! Take pictures when something seems wrong. Go with your gut when booking!!!

We stayed at Lake Escape -- beautiful lakefront property with views of Wisp. Stunning to look out at all times of the day. There were cigarette butts outside the front step, and lots of dust, crumbs, and even dead stink bugs at the floors closest to the walls; nearly all baseboards, especially corners, were dusty. Home really needs a deep cleaning including deep mopping of the floors. Toilet paper and linens weren't stocked so we had to wait for delivery (very friendly person who stopped by). Also needs a maintenance check of towel rods and light bulbs, and water pressure; for example, master drain on one sink was extremely slow and master shower head pressure was very minimal, making showers uncomfortable and hard to warm up. Master carpet had black spots all over, and tv remote had some sort of food crust on the buttons. The most unforgiving part were the giant black trash bags that were in the laundry room connecting to the in law suite that stayed until our second day stay. Also broken green glass on the front deck near a window, and red solo cup in the backyard. Those all made us feel like the house was trashed before us. While the house had gorgeous views for a winter retreat, cleanliness made the trip less enjoyable. Highly recommend the house undergoes deep cleaning/maintenance check.
