Because I am getting old, I am pretty sure I need glasses for driving at night. Daytime driving, I feel pretty good about. Last time I got my eyes checked which was about a year ago at Kaiser, I was told I am in pretty good shape and that I basically just needed some gentle reading glasses. It has been a little over a year since that exam and I can really tell that my eyes need some help. I am toying with the idea of getting LASIK eye surgery again. I had LASIK back in 1998, God, that was 18 years ago! I can tell my eyes are slipping back to their natural myopic state. I grew up wearing really ugly eye glasses and kinda hate eye glasses unless they are fancy sunglasses. But those JIMMY CHOO frames, man, those blew my mind. Pacific has a lot of other really beautiful and unique frames besides the JIMMY CHOO frames that I am focused on. The ophthalmologist was fantastic, the billing/insurance/front office is either 1) misinformed or 2) not being forthcoming with how much they will charge. I was reassured over and over that although my insurance told me I would not be covered, by someone named Janelle that 'I promise you, it's ok and we'll take care of billing it correctly so it will be covered. If the staff doesn't do it correctly, ask for me". Well, it wasn't AND there are apparently two Janelle's in the office... so no one wanted to take responsibility for the statement made. Do yourself a favor and go into Gresham or the other Sandy eye clinic. I will tell everyone I know that they need to avoid this clinic - not because of the care, but because of their billing/sheistyness/and dishonest staff. I just paid 140.00 more for their services when I was told many times there would not be extra charges because of the way they would bill my insurance. Just don't do it. P.S. I know what I'm talking about - I have worked in the healthcare industry including billing and A/R my entire career and I KNEW something was off.

I think this is the first time in my 16 years of wearing glasses/contacts, that someone has actually given me the correct prescription. Now I can wear glasses without having trouble driving, eye strain/ redness at the end of the day, or feeling like I'm looking through a snow globe. Dr. Dinh was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. Inexpensive ($50 for glasses prescription or $75 for glasses and contacts prescription). You pay extra for dilation and other procedures - not sure how much. It was also very convenient to stop over for my prescription and a little Costco shopping. **NOTE: You do not have to be a Costco member to go to this optometry practice.** So, if you want to more clearly see the good, the bad, and the ugly of all the cool and not-cool things you're yelping, pay a visit to Dr. Dinh!

A broken eye contact lenses got stocked in my eye and it's been bothering for a while now. I visited their office to ask if they remove broken eye contact lenses. To my surprise Dr. Porter was available, open to check my eye during that visit. Getting into consideration I was there to ask if that's something they do in there, and the fact I didn't make any appointment.  He checked my eye quickly and stated that didn't see any stocked or broken eye contact lenses. He mumbled something like "Get out of here" . If he didn't see anything, doesn't mean there's nothing stocked in there. My health is very important to me, and I think money was the issue. The fact he offering checking my eye without charging any money may have made him feeling he was wasting his time checking my eye. He should have charged me money so he can check my eye correctly, on the other side if he was not capable to assess correctly the problem he should have referred me to see a different doctor. It was very uncomfortable that situation for me. I don't recommend Dr. Porter, and would never come back again.

Had a really wonderful comprehensive eye exam and the opportunity to try my new contact prescription with trial lenses. They also have a lot of cutting edge solutions for various eye conditions. Holy Guacamole!!! i had been neglecting my vision for quite a bit longer than i should have…read more(yeeears). i waltzed into this lovely establishment, and immediately met with an incredibly mindful and knowledgeable optometrist, who assessed my vision using cutting-edge technology. they didn't even have to blow the air in my eyes! once my eyes were assessed by the pro, i was partnered with Leah Parker, who did an incredible job in helping me find the exact frames that met my very specific requirements. Leah hand-selected several glasses for me to try on, and gave a thorough rationale behind each intentional decision. Leah gave me honest feedback-- if i liked something that didn't work for my face, Leah helped me explore other options.
