Called up Dave, and his team took care of everything for me -- 1 hour later my car was already at a body shop beginning it's repairs. Dave will always go above and beyond for his customers and it seems like he never rests until the job is complete. I'm so happy to have Dave as my agent, he always has my back -- this is the only person I trust to insure all of my cars. One week later without any hiccups during the repair of my car, I have it back and it's looking like the first day when I drove it off the lot. The entire repair process was insanely smooth. Thank you again Dave! **For those of you looking for new insurance you have to give Dave and his team a call. They won't disappoint!

I am a local real estate investor I chose farmers insurance because I thought they were a reliable…read moreinsurance company. Boy was I wrong! I had a slab leak at a rental property that caused significant damage on the first level and the stairs. Since the floor is consistent throughout the home with the exception of the upstairs bedrooms, per my landlord policy, they're required to replace the stairs and loft to ensure a uniform appearance throughout the line of sight. Farmers refused, sent me a letter stating The reason for denial was "coverage was extended for the first floor, continuous flooring system two separate mitigation inspections found no moisture damage to the stairs or upper level because those areas were not affected by the loss and are not part of the continuous flooring system. The policy does not support replacement of the stairs or upper level rooms for matching or uniform appearance." Of course this is completely false, in fact, my contractor did supply a full mitigation estimate including photos of the entire home of damages that included a reader meeting of the first step at 100% which I have attached to my post. Farmers never offered any proof to support their claim for denial. In addition, my landlord policy allows for loss of rents while the home is uninhabitable due to a covered loss. Farmers paid for the first few months upfront and then discontinued all loss of rents . I received my last loss of rent's payment for November 2025. It's now February 14, 2026, they have not issued a payment since and basically ghosted me with no communication. The adjuster Darius Jennings spoke with him a few times in the beginning back in August ghosted me, contacted his supervisor Michelle Moore. Talk to her once , then she ghosted me left several messages for her supervisor Andrea Allwood never ever ever spoke with her. These are all violation, insurance companies are supposed to return phone calls promptly, farmers has not conducted a reasonable investigation into the period of uninhabitable and has not cited any policy exclusion, supporting their denial, denying loss of rent while acknowledging covered damage required repairs is internally inconsistent, and contrary to the intent of loss of use coverage. Currently the matter is being reviewed by the Department of insurance, finally, I am hopeful, working with a great representative there. She's reviewed the file in detail and is looking at several potential regulatory violations.. DOI can for example.. under California law has the authority to impose disciplinary and corrective action, including administrative, penalties and fines pursuing to insurance code 790.035 and 12921. ( up to 5000 per violation and 10,000 per willful violation. ) I am very hopeful that they will be held responsible for their actions. We as consumers purchase insurance so that we have peace of mind. They certainly aren't living up to their slogan. ''We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two. "Experience builds trust." Well ........I trusted and look what they did to me! Lol My advice is to really do your homework before selecting an insurance company. Check with their ratings and check with other people that have used them before. If they deny your claim, don't give up ! report them to the Department of insurance if you have too! Document everything ! Higher experience contractors that have great ratings and review reviews ! Check with the contractors licensing board before hiring anyone. And whatever you do, don't give up don't let these insurance companies think they can just trample all over consumers fight back. And if necessary hire a public adjuster they're always helpful. Good luck. Felicia
