I've shopped here for years but until now have not submitted a review. I was reminded recently how…read moremuch I like this place. I have difficulty finding shoes that truly fit. Far too often I settled for less than ideal (too narrow, poor arch support, etc.) and suffered the consequences with aching feet, blisters and other irritations. Schuler employs people that actually understand how to measure ones feet and then properly size footwear. As a result I always walk out with shoes or boots that feel great, need no break-in period and look great. They offer a vast selection of quality brands and almost always have what I'm looking for and a perfect fit in stock. I usually wait for a sale and then stock up by buying multiple pairs of footwear. I've also joined their rewards program. Thus, pricing, particularly given the excellent service and quality selection becomes a relative bargain. This store can get busy but never to the point where I felt that I was unacknowledged or conversely felt rushed into making a purchase decision. She is very new to running so she wanted to get out of her current shoes that she used more for day to day walking and into something that was geared for running. After my wife tried to use the shoes for a few runs she noticed that they werent as good for her as she thought. Trust me I get it, I my self work in retail and have had people walk in 5 minutes before "POSTED" closing time and we DO NOT tell them we are closing in 5 minutes. What we do is ask them what we can help them find. Especially when they are quickly walking around trying to find what they came in to get so as not to keep the employees too long past closing time. When I pointed out that they could get us out faster if they helped us find what we came in to get instead of standing at the register being mad that we were even there. What I got was major attitude and total disrespect from the young man, he proceeded to sass me and tell me I never asked for help and maybe if I did he would. At which point I admit I was 1st shocked and then I got mad. I will never shop at that store again. Not that far to go to Shakopee where the staff is helpful and well trained in customer service.
