I do not recommend buying equipment from this Bad Boy dealer. In November 2020, we purchased a used…read more2014 model with 300 ish hours on the mower. We purchased the mower from a salesman named Brad near the close of business. Brad told us he was new and didn't really know the answers to our questions, so he called the manager, Josh, a couple times and also got the mechanic from the shop to answer our questions. We explained that we planned to start a small mowing business and asked their advice on the particular mower we were looking at. the l The shop guy told is it had been fully serviced, taken through the shop and checked out and also that it had a new battery. We later saw the battery sticker date was 2018. Our mower has been in our shop all winter. Now it's March so time to mow a little out back. Start the mower up and go to use it, belt comes off. When putting the belt back on, it was observed that motor bolts were broken off which caused the belt to come off. Today, when we called to see if the mower was ready, my husband was told that the manager wanted to speak to him. Josh called him back and told us that there was no way to know when the bolts broke and they would not cover the work. The bill $214. I called back down there to talk to Josh myself. In a nutshell, he told me that it's a used mower and I should have bought a new one if I expected no issues. I explained that we were getting ready to purchase mulching blades, a weed eater and a backpack blower but that we did not intend to give him any more of our business if he expected us to pay $214 for a mower we haven't even used because it was winter.... he said he would not be held hostage by the threat of a bad review or the threat of our business going elsewhere. I didn't intend anything I said to be a threat, but rather an explanation of our intentions. Josh said he didn't know how many hours were on the mower when we bought it, despite our sales slip showing the hours. He says there's no way to know if it was like that when we bought it but the hours reflect that the mower has not been used. Selling used mowers has become equivalent to stereotypical used car sales tactics. High prices, big promises, say whatever needs to be said to make a sale. At the end of the day, you, the one who trusted the word of a local small business, you are the one left holding

They are the warranty place for Husqvarna and hopefully when I get finished talking to management at Husquvarna, they will no longer be. They talk to people with derision and contempt and instead of trying to be civil, hang up on you like adolescents who haven't yet developed communication skills. That is when you are just trying to talk to them. Heaven forbid you actually need service or work performed by them. They will put you off for months crying that they have no mechanics on duty. Who's fault is that, that they don't schedule mechanics to be at work. The truth is probably closer to them not being able to keep mechanics because who wants to work for people this contemptible? I hate that they are a Bad Boy dealer because Bad Boy is an awesome brand but I feel that if allowed to continue they will only give them a bad reputation. I think I shall also talk to Bad Boy management just so that they are aware of the type of people running this business.
