The waiter said the secret is that it is never frozen, and I can only say that I've never tasted calamari that tender and flavorful, so perhaps he's right. However, the Beehive was still open, and open for breakfast and lunch! Though there isn't much for vegetarians, what they do have is quite good. My husband and I ended up stopping here a few times, and we enjoyed it every time. It's a unique cafe because the tables are in amongst the shop merchandise that The Beehive has to offer (but not too close). You can sit outside or inside, and the tables are all by the window so you can enjoy natural light while you dine. It's fun to dine and then browse for unique gifts.

So up the alleyway more than ready for great coffee and horror of horrors it was closed: it was 4:30pm maybe he closes mid afternoon, who knows but having built up to great coffee it was time to explore. I knew there was a Costa in town but I didn't really want to go there and found this place just across the road on a Main Street. The coffees were superb - a flat white and cappuccino - and both under €3. Serving staff were a friendly bunch and it was a cosy place away from the cold rain outside. Dave might have lost four coffee sales a year. Hope he can cope.
