Even when he ended up realizing that there would need to be additional work to be done that would come at an additional cost to me, he made sure to talk me through my options, he made recommendations, and never forced me into anything. Instead, he worked with me to find solutions that would result in a safe, quality deck and also at a cost that I could manage. Code says you can not pass a 4 inch diameter sphere through the openings. The mesh I used is 1 7/8 x 3 7/8 inch wire opening. The wire gauge is 1/4 diameter. This is heavy duty stuff the railing going up to my second floor he's throwing a 2018 code out at it saying it doesn't comply. The house is built in 2004 I'm very skeptical about this place
