Pendleton Heaven, so much history... The storefront is located in Southgate and it is filled with fedoras, zoot suit, and 50's clothing. My husband is a big follower of the culture, I swear he was reincarnated from the era... For his B-day I purchased a reversible jacket that didn't fit him comfortably. Since high school I've wanted to visit this store, finally did. What I found was a dirty, unorganized clutter of clothes stacked on top of each other with no room to walk or shop. I took a substantial amount of cash ready to spend and this is why I did not spend it. The employees sat around laughing verses helping, one person working the floor helping customers, no mirror in the fitting room to try on clothes and when I asked for product information it was poorly provided. My Lady and I took a trip from Berdoo to check it out as we have never been there. Was about an hour drive but we had no plans and they were the only place that happened to have the Pendleton I was looking for. Customer service was good. I would have liked to have checked out the rest of the shop but there were several other customers there and everything is cluttered in boxes or hung up in narrow ailes with no clear labeling on sizes or product. Probably would have looked around and spent more if the store was a little more organized and had more room to look around without feeling like I was in other peoples way or vice versa. None the less I got the Pendleton I wanted and the people were nice and helpful. I appreciate that they are keeping the Chicano style/culture alive after all these years for people like myself and others that still actually exist. I came here as a teenager and was in East Los visiting family and decided I wanted to look at the pendletons in stock. They have some Decent Cholo Clothes but the pendletons are the reason to go here. They are really expensive and the pendletons to begin with are pricey but they are 15 to 20 bucks more here. Aside from that, the ben davis and dickies are ridicuously crazy expensive. The help although Very nice need to know there product alot more. I would come here only If i could not find the same pendleton somewhere cheaper. If you need anything else "cholo" go to the swap meet or whittier blvd. On another note, The books for sale you cannot peruse through. So basically spend 50 bucks for a book you have no knowledge of its contents. read more

I wanted to try on everything but my Buddha belly gets in the way on that last row of buttons of the XL's. Bigger sizes are this way I am told, tons of boxes with every print and size were opened for our rummaging. Dude like I said Heaven. The staff were always available for assistance, very knowledgeable and friendly without being over bearing making shopping less of an ordeal and more of a breeze. One of those time travel places. You walk in and are taken back a couple years. Not just in the merchandise, but in the building itself. Big glass display cases, old school foam ceiling. Just an amazing place. It will always hold more merchandise than it can hold customers, but that's just part of the appeal of the place.
