I visited this store and asked if they offered a military discount--a small gesture of appreciation that many patriotic businesses choose to offer. The owner replied, "We do not discriminate." That response wasn't just dismissive--it was offensive. Offering a military discount isn't discrimination. It's a sign of respect for the men and women who've risked--and in many cases, given--their lives for this country. Equating gratitude with discrimination shows a serious lack of awareness, and quite frankly, a lack of respect. What made it even more disappointing is that this store is located in a community where many military families live. These are the parents, spouses, and children who support service members from the home front--often enduring long deployments, uncertainty, and sacrifice themselves. To respond that way in a place so connected to the military is not just tone-deaf--it's disrespectful to the very backbone of this community. If I could give zero stars, I would. This business doesn't deserve even one for the way it treats the very people who make it possible for all of us to live and work freely. Of course, every business has the right to decide its own policies--but customers have the right to support businesses that reflect their values. I won't be returning here, and I hope others who understand the true meaning of service, honor, and sacrifice will choose to spend their money elsewhere. read more

Greenspan's - "Support those who serve--on and off the battlefield." - Women's Clothing Near Me - South Gate, California

My very first visit to legendary Greenspans. It is going to be my dad's birthday. So, I took him shopping. They had tons of pendletons. He got 2 short sleeve ones. We didn't know they made shirt sleeve. He bought a few nice dress shirts with embroidery. A young guy waited on us the entire visit. He would search for the sizes which were high to reach. He was very helpful and patient. It ended up being 800 bucks. The prices were on the high side. But, it had all the old school lowrider style clothes from my dad's young days. He loved everything. It was worth finding things he loves. read more

Great place and oh so friendly knowledgeable staff. Went with a friend who got a few things. In a perfect world they'd have dresses for women. However, DID score me a wool beanie and nice big original bandana to use as headband. Not exactly a hop, skip or jump away, but worth the drive. So very interesting to hear stories from the owner who has worked there well over half a century. With Greenspan's in business just shy of a century. Was wonderful to visit a mom and pop shop still standing. Took one star off simply because not all made in USA as I expected considering new vintage. All seemed like quality materials for the price. read more

Very cool store, helpful staff, seemingly the only store in LA County that sells Ben Daivs pants in a 34 inseam. Great selection of Pendleton shirts, as well as having a lot of cool bowling shirts, zoot suits, fedoras, things of that nature, as well as standard california-style workwear like Dickies and Ben Davis. read more

We needed to get my husband a fedora and decided to hit up Greenspans as this is the best place to go. The service was exceptional as soon as you walked in you were greeted and the staff very very attentive every single one that walked by greeted or asked if we needed something. They have a great selection Pendleton's, Ben Davis, Fedoras, hats, Stacy Adams and so much more. Pricing depends on the items you're purchasing we purchased a fedora and nice dress shirt and it was close to $200.00 I recommend you check this spot out! read more

This place is horrible! I was given a shirt as a gift for my bday and it seems it was too big. I didn't want refund all I wanted was just a smaller size and they refused to do so the shirt was never worn and still had tags.I drove all the way from Orange County and still wouldn't honor my request I was advised by my family member the purchase was ordered online. Do not recommend anyone to shop there anymore they clam to be a small bricks and mortar store but any other store wouldn't turn a client down. Please go to GUNTHER'S DTSA read more

We ended up getting a little gift with purchase wince we bought 4 Pendletons. All came with a zip up hang bag and we also received a big license plate for the wall. We will definitely be back. My wife and I went shopping for a particularly patterned Pendleton and Found Greenspan's. They had the biggest and best collection of Pendletons I have ever seen. We were immediately greeted by Joshua Greenspan. He was really nice and super knowledgeable about Pendletons. I wanted to try on double X -large, tall. He immediately guessed I would like x-large, tall And had both sizes brought out to me. He was right. They ultimately Didn't have the pattern I was hunting for but were super helpful! Also met Joshua's dad, decked out in a nice Pendleton! Both Father and son were gracious and knowledgeable! If you want to see the best collection of Pendletons in the U. S. , go to Greenspans! read more

Ordered a couple shirts as Xmas gifts online and got an email with apology from Carlos saying one of the items was unavailable, but he offered any other shirt of greater value to make up for it which I accepted. He shipped everything to me next day and followed through on what he said and did so promptly. Mistakes happen and good businesses make it right, right away. Looking forward to doing business with the OG Greenspans in the future. Thank you Carlos. read more

Bought a Pendleton shirt here because I heard about these guys a long time ago. So I decided to take the drive all the way down from the San Fernando Valley. Place is a whole lot smaller and cluttered than I thought. The gals there helped me find what I was looking for and were cool. When I got home and tried the shirt and was able to really get a good look and feel for it, I changed my mind and decided that I needed a size larger for a better fit. I emailed these guys to ask if I could swap it out just to make sure before I made the long drive back out there. They told me that I could as long as I had the reciept and all tags in place; which I did. So I finally take the drive that took 1hour and a half to the store. I am greeted by Mr. Greenspan, the older guy behind the counter. I tell him that im there to swap for a larger size and hand him my receipt. Dude walks away with the shirt and I see him smelling it all over. I tell him i tried it on twice, once at the store and once at home. He told me he didnt think so because it smelled like cologne. I tell him thats impossible because I had never worn it out. So then he says that the button holes are stressed. I tell him that he has my word that I never wore it and he tells me not to "stoop that low"...pretty much calling me a liar. Long story made short; we argued for like 15 minutes before he finally said that if I made myself less to him that he would make the exchange. I couldnt beleive what he was telling me. I told him that I am speaking the truth and I don't make myself less for any man. So he finally gave up and made the exchange. I spent good money on that shirt and everyone who shops here does as well. Customers shouldn't be treated this way specially when they are speaking the truth and it's just and exchange for the same shirt in a different size. If this fool is going to act like that...might as well change your rules to final sale and not do exchanges period. I wont ever be going back again or ordering online. I have found other places with the same products and I won't have to deal with bad service in a small, cluttered place where you can't even go through the products well or comfortably. Avoid this place and save yourself the headache! UPDATE: Still crap....even more so. I just realized that when I bought the damned Pendleton shirt here that they sold it to me on a hanger and without pins or the plastic cover. So I returned it the same way. Pretty much that fool was trying to make his money back off of me after someone had already returned the same shirt. It has been a while since this incident happened but I am still pissed off the same about it. It took me a lot of time and energy and I feel like someone needs to expose this bull crap customer service starting with the current Mr. Greenspan. When a man's word is his life's rule; you don't question it...mine was questioned more than once on that visit. I was taught to respect my elders but I cannot and will not respect an elder that is less mature than I am in respects of honest business. So sad. read more

Good selection, staff was super attentive and nice. Old school so everything isn't perfectly organized but it's cool

They are very unprofessional. Gave us rhe wrong size with box cutter holes in the pants. We did not get a chance to see the freshly purchased product until the day of a funeral. They gave my son the wrong size, and again with straight cuts. Like when one opens with a box cutter and cuts fhrough products/and or.mer handiae. Need be more care green span. Don't ever go to this place I feel like they're in a scam I bought a Pendleton and it was not the right size just wanted to do a exchange bigger size and mind u the main dude said If it didn't fit you can come in and change it so my boyfriend decides to go and exchange it and they say he couldn't mind you the Pendleton been in a plastic bag never was removed from the plastic bag that was provide and they want to say that there was a red dot on the Pendleton like why did I not see it am telling you this place is a scam big time please don't come here place as scammers written all over it read more

This place is the bomb... Ok...fuck it holmes, I don't care if I lose street cred for telling y'all that aren't in the loop, but for those who are adventurous enough to come down here...you'll strike gold... I mean like Legit gold. I mean it ain't crazy down in this neighborhood, but don't be looking all nervous and flinch at every person coming by you that look like they've been in the pen. Greenspan's original store open in the Watts area in the 20's by Grandpa Greenspan after the WW. They moved to it's current location in the late 30's. Now...as stated by Rich L., the merchandise can be somewhat of a hassle because it's ALL OVER the place, literally. A neat freak will be running out of here in 2 mins....or less. I kind of have an idea of what I'm looking for when I come here, then decide what I want, once I'm there. The Pendletons have a special back...back room...ALL kinds of patterns, colors, styles...for both shirts and light jackets. They also offer...well...too much shiite to list, so check it out yourself. Come with someone who knows and you'll be set. Well, actually...the staff here are super cool and won't brush you off, even if you have "stupid" questions. The times I've been here the fellas have been patient and really cool. It's kinda funny, everytime I come here, I leave with a pair of shades, but manage to lose them within a month...haha...thank gawd they only set me back a Lincoln. Walk in a square...walk out like you have a clue(at least look like you do.) Any ways stop b.s'n and drop in on this landmark of a place. My favorite moment, at least when I went last time, was when the guy who was helping us out ripped his wino shoes so that his toes were somewhat showing...haha...looked funny....BUT he then offered up a story where another coworker was walking down these stairs they have there and on his last step, completely ripped out of his pair of wino shoe ! ! The top of his shoe looked like an ankle bracelet and the sole went flying who knows where ! ! That's hilarious...just another day at Greenspan's I 'spose. read more

Great little store. Had to drive almost 2 hours coming from Oxnard but we'll worth it.

I stopped by for the first time and picked up 2 shirts and tried on a Pendleton shirt so I can order online if I can't make it up there from San Diego. I received great service from the lady at the store. She grabbed the sizes and styles that I needed. I'm so glad I was able to buy the shirts I loaned to a homie in need back in the day. I will always love this style. Check them out read more
