The building looked cool from the outside, lots of activity in this strip mall, and the security guard was genuinely friendly. After checking my ID, he asked if it was my first visit. I told him it was. I'm not really a smoker I was just shopping for a friend. Once inside, the experience completely changed. I was obviously lost, looking around like a dumbass trying to figure out what I needed, yet 2 employees walked right past me without offering help. When I finally flagged down an employee to ask about deals he pointed with an attitude to a small plastic sign instead of simply answering my question. My friend wanted Blue Dream, which was advertised at 40% off, so I grabbed two. At checkout, things got worse. I mentioned the first-time customer discount the security guard had told me about. Instead of checking, the employee insisted that "it's not your first time by a long shot. You've been here at least 10 times." We argued for a minute before he realized he'd pulled up someone else's profile. Then gave me a half-assed apology while looking in a completely different direction. He then got all funny about giving me a first-time discount because the items I bought were on sale. Which he DID NOT give me. Which is fine if that's the policy. My issue wasn't the discount it was being treated like I was lying. I walked out paying about what I would have paid elsewhere, but with a much worse experience. This brother couldn't see five minutes ahead of himself. He lost what could have been a consistent customer for about $15. I can tell he is not the owner. He is just a stingy employee. The security guard was great. Everyone else made sure my first and LAST visit would be exactly that. I'd rather spend my money at a dispensary with better customer service, even if it costs more. I guarantee you even with this excellent location the staff is going to run this place out of business. I would have to be desperate to go back into this place. But luckily there are tons of shop around with better reviews.

My consultation with Dr. Corroon was in a coffee shop on a Sunday morning because I was only going to be in San Diego for a short time. Yes, on a Sunday. He adjusted his schedule to meet my needs. Ever hear of a doctor fitting his schedule to yours? I told him my symptoms. He told me how he thought cannabis might help, where it might not be effective and where traditional, mainstream medicine would be a better solution. He inspired my confidence. Prior to our meeting I was sceptical of the medical value of cannabis. Dr. Corroon -- Jamie -- opened my mind to the possibility. He was not a pot evangelist, but presented an informed opinion of the value of cannabis treatment founded both on scientific research and his personal observation of how cannabis had benefitted his patients. I accepted his advice on the pot. The result was that an unpleasant symptom I've suffered from for years was ameliorated. I also accepted his advice on how another unpleasant symptom might best be treated by traditional means, and there too, I found relief. Since that initial consultation three weeks ago he has, without prompting from me, called twice to see how I was doing. Twice. I have no bone to pick with doctors. I have great respect for them and gratitude to them for what they do for all of us. But then there's Dr. Corroon.
