Cool staff and now they have T-shirts, smaller prints, and other merch at lower price points, so it makes some of the art more accessible if you are not in the market for a larger piece. Everything you loved about the old place is more and better here, and it's really a must-visit when you're in downtown Long Beach. The quality of work they show here is really great, and I try to see everything that comes through. Shows change about once a month, so check their Instagram or Facebook to see what's the latest exhibit. In addition to original art, they sell a variety of prints, books, and other merchandise so check them out!

They're always moving around (though in the same general vicinity), and the art is always different - since the spaces they've taken over have all been pretty small, they have space for exactly one gallery at a time, so it's just a different artist rotating periodically, but it's always neat local art. There are so many good artists in Long Beach, there definitely needs to be more free public spaces showing off that art! Loiter is just one small space (though again, it's been several *different* small spaces, so if you're reading this in the future, check to make sure their address has been updated!), but I'm glad it's here (they've been doing this since pre-covid, so it has some staying potential) - DTLB needs this sort of space, and one is infinitely more than zero! Seen a bunch of different great art/artists pass through here in the past couple years! (Though I've also *missed* seeing a bunch, as they are often only there for a month or two.) p.s. they post on their instagram when a new collection is rotating in.

She worked with me to bring the most out of the Japanese prints and to make the other 3 look good with less expensive options. As her website will tell you, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, to make an appointment. As a one-woman show, it takes a while to select frame type, frame color, borders, etc. So plan accordingly and make an an appointment. It took about 6 weeks for me to get everything back but that's fairly reasonable. Plan accordingly. Street parking is the only parking available. I had no problem finding parking but it is metered and can get tight as there's some cute restaurants nearby as well as the arts theater. Only glitch I had was calling Kris. She mentioned when I first met her that her phone was acting up. I left a message and didn't get a call back albeit she said she returned it and left a message. The second time around, she did call me back but left no message albeit again she said she left one. So don't take it personally in this day of technology mishaps!

When I went, the second floor was closed because there was an event that night. I went to see the Robert Williams exhibit which is on the main floor and there was a lot to see. There's also a lower level with an exhibit for local high school artist which is cool. Although the museum was small I was there for almost an hour. I thought the description of the pieces were very detailed and helped me understand what I was looking at.
