At approx 4:20pm I received a call that was "hi, we're on our way" and it cut out and I received no response back. Nothing for 30 mins, so I called back to find out that they were on their way and that it would only be another 20 mins. 1 hr goes by after that (it's 2 hrs past the scheduled time), the response I got was "we were coming from Ellicott city, we are on the other side of hyattsville, another 20 mins, sorry its all due to traffic). So after arriving 2 hrs late - 2 of the crew memebers came up - spent 20 mins chatting - and then 1.5 hrs cleaning... at this point its about 730pm-8pm on a Friday and our dinner plans have been 100% ruined. Its not the amount of time it took to clean, it was showing up two hours late. MORE SO it is important to point out that they lied to me on the timing - Ellicott city is 26 miles from where we live, so how were you planning to get there in 20 mins?!?! Even without rush hour traffic? The overall cleaning was good (little weird they didn't bring their own vacuum and asked to use ours), but more so did not appreciate the communication and the deceitfulness

Two people came and spent less than 3 hrs each. This was their second visit. On the first visit, there were a few issues, but I thought I could work with them. I showed a specific area under a scale and on a desk left untouched. The second visit, I hoped would be improved. At eye level, everything looked clean. I looked under the scale we had talked about...dust remained. The floors were washed as expected, except nothing was touched that wouldn't be extraordinarily obvious. The outside of my staircase railing, the space under clocks, desks, lower window sills, cobwebs on legs of furniture, etc. we're left untouched. The price tag, approximately $80 to $90 per hour. Don't fall for the "house price", get an hourly rate for cleaning. Photos are a few examples of what was left behind. I have many more. On the bright side, Rosy did offer to return and make things right, but I took a pass. I would prefer a company that cleaned properly the first time and didn't need instructions.

And who would be trustworthy - and most of all - easy to communicate with. Other companies I have used may have done good work, but it was exhausting and stressful ensuring that the workers understood. So I was fairly desperate to ID a service that had it all. Running Things not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. First, their follow-up is impeccable. I made initial arrangements from across the country and kept in constant touch with them up until the time I arrived to meet them at my parent's house. I also appreciated their flexibility in scheduling when I had to adjust my travel plans. Second, their work ethic and quality was A+. My parent's home was cluttered and in critical need of a complete scrub down. They went about the cleaning and organizing in a systematic and thorough manner. Yelpers, if there was ever a before and after - my parent's home would have been the poster child for "after." Third, they are kind and gracious. Raziyah's team couldn't have been nicer. Despite their workload, they were extremely patient with my elderly parent who had a tendency to meander into their work space and despite that, they were able to navigate her interruptions without being rude and abrupt. Fourth, their pricing is fair and reasonable. Finally, I am greatly relieved to now have a reliable, quality cleaning service that can maintain my parent's home.
