We didn't realize that the restaurant was a part of a country club until we arrived (no where in the reviews did it mention this) but we've done brunch at other country clubs throughout Jersey and it was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. Service was SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW! From the very beginning until the very end. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. The cocktails weren't the greatest either. We thought perhaps the first round was our fault because we all tried their "blackberry espresso martini" and we knew it was a risk from the beginning ... so we ordered "safer" cocktails for round 2 and the prosecco based cocktails were even worse than the blackberry espresso martinis smh. I truly don't understand how one messes up prosecco + a splash of limoncello and cranberry (that was what was supposed to be in the cocktail) but they certainly messed it up, to the point where I didn't drink it. Our entrees finally arrived and WOMP WOMP WOMP! Overall every single one was MID at best ... and all I had was French onion soup and a wedge salad .... like how is it possible for those to be BLAH? Food was so MEH we didn't even take pics lol. Needless to say we all agreed we wouldn't be back and wished we had decided on what was our 2nd option for brunch instead.

She gave me a recommendation and tried their cheesesteak sandwich. I was very satisfied with the results. Matt did an excellent job cooking. Everything was well blended together, and the roll was nice and crispy too. Perfect amount of cheese to steak ratio, and the onions were fried just right. I would totally go back here again, the service and the food alone was totally worth it. Definitely stop by Champs if you're in the mood for a good cheesesteak and if you're in the upper Camden County area.

We ordered through Grubhub (they are not available on DoorDash), and the food arrived quickly and was bagged up nicely. The cheesesteak I ordered from their regular menu didn't seem to have much to it. The steak flavor was okay and the roll was super soft, but there just wasn't enough filling to justify the price, especially when you can find $18 cheesesteaks elsewhere that are absolutely packed. The hot and honey chicken cheesesteak had a tasty flavor and the sauce they use is spot on for that style of sandwich, but it still felt a little light on overall fullness. The fries weren't anything special, and some were sadly still cold and not salted. The poppers definitely seemed frozen and undercooked since you could still see the cheese inside separating instead of fully melted. Sadly, this either wasn't our moment to order from Champs or this is just the way they do things. Maybe we will circle back another time to give this Philly sports bar a second shot.

It's much softer and tastes better, idk how to explain it! I got the crispy chicken costoletta as per viral tiktoks with sub asparagus for angel hair pasta and side of extra sauce. They were not exaggerating! It was delicious. The chicken was super thin and crispy, but the lemon sauce was def the star. It tasted creamy but bright and perfectly cut through the oiliness of the chicken. I really love the buffalo blasts and fried Mac and cheese too. Portions for all entrees are massive and I ALWAYS have leftovers to bring home. The service is always lovely. It's very large inside with many seats. Louisiana chicken pasta was pretty good. I ordered it since it was one of their more popular dishes. I hadn't had bowtie pasta in forever and it was quite nostalgic. Flavors were okay, a little lacking but I was glad it wasn't too spicy. I prefer the costoletta chicken much more to this one. The bellagio chicken had some plastic packaging they left by accident and when we notified our waiter, the manager came over to personally apologize and even took care of our dessert!

Green chilaquiles with carnitas and eggs was light in flavor not sure we would get this again. Buffalo wings were good. We got the sauce on the side which allowed us to control the amount of sauce we used. Thai lettuce wraps was good. Light and tasty. The sauce helps to bring it all together. Got a slice of cheesecake to go. Our server Brianna was nice and friendly. I would say 3.5 out of 5 stars rounding down instead of up because quality of food was just ehh.

The Black Horse Diner is not the kind of place where angels weep or where culinary revolutionaries…read moretake notes. No. It is simply a reliable hearth for hungry souls who adore breakfast food, lunch food, and dinner food in equal measure. And it is my dear mother's favorite diner in the area, which feels like a credential earned through decades of careful eating and limited dietary options thanks to a gallbladder that decided it had seen enough of this world. Service here approaches that shining ideal of Americana. The wait staff seem genuinely invested in your continued existence, keeping coffee cups filled and orders moving with calm efficiency. You are not rushed, forgotten, or treated like an inconvenience. You are treated like someone who came in hungry and intends to leave better than you arrived. The food is dependable in the most comforting sense of the word. The menu is typically Jersey diner broad and familiar, offering breakfast all day, sturdy sandwiches, omelets that know what they are doing, and classic diner dinners that arrive hot and generous. I've had the meatloaf with mushroom gravy, the French onion soup, the prime rib, and the French toast. Nothing is fancy or experimental. Nothing is trying to impress you. It simply aims to be good, and usually succeeds. The dining room itself is clean and comfortable, with the reassuring atmosphere of a place that has seen many regulars come and go and remembers them kindly. Families, couples, and solo diners all seem equally at home. You can order chicken croquettes or a country omelette and know exactly what you are going to get, which is a small but meaningful luxury in a world that so often overpromises and underdelivers. So I give the Black Horse Diner four stars. Not because it is extraordinary, but because it is steady, sincere, and reliably satisfying. Sometimes a solid meal served by capable people in a place that knows itself is more than enough.

Strong start. I ordered one of the mini meals. I really loved the cream of mushroom soup of the day. Deep flavor and a nice complement of mushrooms, better than usual. The initial appetizers with the mini meals came out right away. I would say an average wait time for dinner. And the food? My chicken croquette tasted almost like lobster. Plenty of sauce to dip the beans. I tried my friend's fries and those are also outstanding. Excellent meal through and through. And mini meals include a dessert! Homemade pudding - tapioca is delicious. Highly recommend. I'm not a diner guru, but this hit every angle I'd want. Come check it out!
