I've been bringing my dog to Green Leaf since it opened, first my rescue bulldog, Rocky, and now my rescued Chihuahua mix, Jimmy. I rescued Jimmy, a 10 year old bundle of happy, in January, knowing nothing about his past training and behavior. After a consultation with Jake, Jimmy started working with Paul, for basic obedience, commands, and especially socialization. I can't say enough about how devoted Paul and the entire training staff, are to Jimmy, as they work to make sure Jimmy feels safe, and happy and calm throughout his training. They spend a lot of time working with Jimmy's Chihuahua nature, and helping him to feel confidant and successful. Jimmy now knows how to control his reactivity to people and other dogs, and I've learned how to keep both of us focused and calm. Jimmy's training is also my training, and I've enjoying working with him at home on the techniques Paul has used at Green Leaf. Jimmy is well-known by the desk staff and the day care workers, and I'm very comfortable leaving him for daily or overnight visits. Green Leaf is Jimmy's favorite place to visit!

Dear Meagan First nobody has reached out to me through email or calls. Second I had rescheduled an appointment for Presley if you check your records February 20 with Clarence at 9:30. Presley hasn't been back because he's been recuperating from surgery on February 1st. As far as us being happy at his 25 minute demonstration of him, being taught to heal, sit and down no big deal. That was his four weeks of training and that's what was taught to him. We specifically let it be known our concern was with him was to be socialized and not be so scared of people. And to be able to control him when he was being aggressive in biting. I have grandchildren that I cannot have come to my house, and I explained that to Jake from the very beginning. We took him to every single appointment for his training.. we missed one day because I wasn't gonna make it in time for his appointment with Clarence and I didn't want to keep him hanging so I called and rescheduled and if you look you'll see it's for February 20 at 9:30 so get your record straight before you come on here, and add more lies to the lies that were told to us when we first signed our dog up for your so-called services. Do you actually think we want to waste $2,800 dollars and listen to what you're telling to do.Which my husband would ask Jake every week what can I do home because he's more wild now than ever. His response to my husband's question was ... Don't do anything just continue to do what you do at home, let me my Job here and you'll have a new dog. What a joke that was. And also I asked him about do you use a Spike collar or E-Collar he told me no. So what does he have around my Dogs neck at the demonstration a SPIKE COLLAR. And then makes me buy one at your facility. I thought you didn't use spike collars , more lies. Had I known spike collar was being used on my dog and God only knows what else. I would have pulled my dog out immediately. Enjoy the $2,800 you're going need it. Nobody got back to my husband. I put a call in for Clarence to give us a call. I had a question for him I specified I only wanted Clarence to call. We wound up getting a call from Jake. Who was very annoyed that he had to call us on his day off. We didn't want him to call. The message was for Clarence, not Jake I don't ever want to deal with him ever again.. and the question had nothing to do with Presley's training. He also accused me of telling the person on the phone that took the message that I wanted to put my dog down. How dare he say that to us that was such a lie. but then again, you are pros at it because I see it with you on here too. Maybe you need to get your wires connected because one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. You can't get anything straight everything you're saying to me in this text is baloney. How about you shoot me a call how about that instead of doing this if you really are concerned about your clients what you should be doing is calling us and trying to rectify the situation but no, you keep putting oil into the flames. As I can see from your response, you're not any better.

We Highly Recommend Green Leaf Pet Resort! Our nine-month-old Spirited German Shepard Puppy "Stella" attended the Obedience Training program at the Millstone Resort. Today, after 3weeks of training with Paul Stella graduated! We were very happy and impressed with the entire Green Leaf staff and facility. We were especially impressed with Paul, Stella's trainer. He was very patient with Stella and us. He took the time to go through the training program and gave us the tools to reinforce her training going forward. Tom & Sheila Novembre

Our first experience with Green Leaf grooming services was phenomenal and the groomer was incredibly nice so we were excited to bring our 2 dogs back; however, yesterday was a completely different experience. We had unintentionally scheduled our grooming appointment at a poor time as upon entering the facility, there were multiple dogs in the lobby for what I would assume was a training class. Seems like there could be a better system to help prevent overwhelming and overstimulating the dogs coming in and out. When we finally made it to the groomer drop-off, my husband and I were taken aback by how rude the groomer was. This was a different lady than the one we had the first time. She immediately looked at one of our dogs and said that she would need to be completely shaved (which is what we were looking for anyways) then snidely questioned how long it had been since we groomed her. Unfortunately, we are unable to afford monthly grooming appointments so we groom her ourselves in-between professional grooming appointments. When we were about to tell her how long it had been since we groomed her, she interjected and asked how long it had been since she was "professionally" groomed. Her tone and manner of speaking rubbed my husband and I the wrong way as it felt like she was trying to make us feel guilty. Don't get me wrong, she was definitely over-due for grooming but she did not need to speak down to us this way. Very unprofessional and unbecoming. When we came to pick them up, the groomer seemed to be in a better mood; however, she did not tell us that they had cut through the nail-bed of one of our dogs. We didn't realize until we got home as my husband's pants were covered in blood. After examining her foot, we found that her back left foot was bleeding from her nail. I find it hard to believe that the groomer would not have been aware of this as I would assume our dog would have whimpered immediately when this happened AND she was still actively bleeding when we picked her up. I understand that accidents happen, but I really do not appreciate finding out for ourselves that our dog was injured. We would have been much more understanding if the groomer had come forwainformed us herself. Only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of our positive first experience and because our other dog looked great, although, I am fairly certain he was groomed by the groomer we had the last time. Maybe this was an off-day for the groomer, but we will not risk bringing our 2 pups back here.

We not only have used training. We have recently left our deaf puppy dor boarding. He comes home happy clean. Staff is always friendly and caring. He also goes to daycare at Green leaf. I don't worry about my pet when he is here. I do wish that they had cameras at all daycare. Green leaf sends pictures daily under boarding package. You also get an email about your dog daily. I would skip these 2 things. The email is very generic. I can say nothing bad about this place and staff has great customer service skills.

We've used Green Leaf Pet resorts training programs for a while now so when we were going away, we knew this was the best place for Marco! They took detailed instructions on his feeding - they know his temperament so we were totally comfortable leaving him there. We got "report cards" daily and he just looked so happy we were worried he wasn't going to want to come home! The attentiveness and quality of service here is bar none. I will be using them again for sure!

Many boarding facilities will not take on a dog like Boomer but that's not the case with Green Leaf.

Our 6-month-old Golden Retriever, Buddy, has shown tremendous progress and even passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test today! It was clear that Trevor loved seeing Buddy and Buddy loved seeing him, too. We are grateful for all that Trevor has done and have to say that all of the trainers we interacted with were also always kind and encouraging. We always looked forward to our training sessions and now that they have come to an end, it's comforting to know that we can come back for a refresher anytime if needed. Thank you to Trevor and all of the staff for taking good care of our pup! Attached is a photo of Buddy with his CGC ribbon, looking proud and rather serious! :)

I have a very hyper golden doodle 70 pound puppy. She would learn things like sit, leave it and…read moreother basic commands, but would only practice these things when she felt like doing so. On our walks she was literally pulling my arm out of socket. Totally uncontrollable if any distraction crossed her path. She was jumping on everyone wanting to great them face to face. So many other bad "puppy" habits. But such a loving dog. She was literally getting to be too much for me to handle at only 8 months old. I turned to Shelly's School for Dogs in desperation. The day we met with Shelly in the lobby he was holding her leash and she was just being Madison, trying to greet EVERYONE who came into the center. Shelly asked why I waited so long...good question! We just completed obedience training/boarding where I would drop her off on Tuesday and pick her up on Saturday. Madison was always very happy when we pulled up and could not wait to get inside...a great indication to me that she was being treated well and she liked this place. Right now we are in the process of the human training stage. Katey has worked miracles with Madison. We can now go for long walks and I do not have to worry about the tiniest distractions. My shoulder is feeling so much better now that I do not have a moose pulling me the entire walk. I am still learning, but Katey has taught Maddie how to be a member of society. I even believe, now, that Madison could someday be a great therapy dog. Katey has brought out the best of my Maddie. Her spirit was never broken. Maddie has what I term "Doodle ADD". She still has this, but now Katey has trained us how to get Madison out of that manic moment and focus when necessary. So Madison is done with her training and now we are in the next stage where the humans learn how to utilize what the dog learned. Amazing! Katey is so patient with us humans. She is listening to our concerns about behaviors at home and teaching/showing us how to deal with these issues. And one important thing I have to say for anyone just thinking about Shelly's School, you pay for the training and it is guaranteed for the life of the dog! In the future, if I mess up and cannot get Madison to respond correctly we can go back at any time for free refreshers. I have read that some are upset that they use the pinch collars. I admit my heart sunk when I went to her "graduation" and saw this had been used. However, I put it on my arm and yanked it very hard and it did not hurt. It is made to simulate the mother correcting her pup. You do not choke the dog, and most of the time it is just hanging loose and does not bother the dog at all. If I need to get her attention a very quick soft tug is all it takes. I take it off the dog at night and in the morning she gets excited when we put her "necklace" on. It looks awful, but with the proper training it works wonders! There is no negative training going on here...positive reinforcement is how they roll! They love our dogs almost as much as we love them.
