Luckily, our insurance company helped us mitigate the damage and restore our home back to what it was before our accident. After the mitigation completed, Jeff from Radiance Restoration gave us an estimate at our home. Jeff worked with us and with our insurance adjuster and gave us a painless experience in restoring our newly cleansed home. He offered professional recommendations on different restoration ideas. This was crucial for me. Restoring a home torn apart by flooding is not on anyone's bingo card of things to do. Jeff worked with my wife and I as we figured out what we needed for our home. Based on recommendation we decided to upgrade our carpet from builder grade and have it laid thru the second floor. He gave us up-front pricing from start to finish. It only took two weeks to go from a torn-apart first floor ceiling and a torn up second floor to a repainted bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. The crews that came out to our home were true professionals. They even were great with my dog. We restored our hallway bathroom into a dream bathroom, and our new carpet feels like walking on air. She approached me while working on my yard in 2021 and inquired about damage from a recent storm. She worked closely with the adjuster from my insurance, and they advised me that at the time, there was not significant enough damage to recommend filing a claim. Fast forward a year, and Tracy reached out to me after our neighborhood had experienced hail storms. They went through the same process, recommended filing a claim this time, and it was immediately approved. I then met with David who explained the plan they put together thoroughly, patiently answered all of our questions, and had the work scheduled for 2 days later. David was immediately responsive whenever I reached out with questions or requests. Their team (and process) is a well oiled machine... I went to work with my old roof on, came home ten hours later to a brand new one, job complete, with no damage, no trouble, and everything cleaned up thoroughly. I was skeptical at the start, and at times throughout the process, as it seemed a bit too good to be true. FYI I was a construction worker for 37 years and retired early because of a bum foot. All I was looking for was capping the cedar wood around 4 windows in front of house & wood under front roofline. There were 6 pieces of cedar also need capping on backof house. "All were 5' long by 4" wide". I figured around 1,000$ complete. They wanted 3,300$ !!! So I got 2 other estimates, both said job would cost under 1,500$. So if it feels pricy to you get others to give their estimate for what your looking to do. No reflection on Midwests work as the neighbors house looks nice. Thank you. Update: Got my capping of wood done today and it looks great. Went with a company doing a job in my neighborhood and got what I hoped for at a great price of 1,100$. 1/3 of what Midwest quoted, so don't jump at your first estimate.
