Update on my review…read more. Octavio from Homestate reached out and put forward conditions that I firstly remove my review and secondly I meet them in my bank, and then they will take the bank checks ( (which means they will immediately cash my check without me receiving my payment)). I am so tired of dealing with Octavio/Homestate that I am thinking about closing my claim with the insurance company and replacing my roof out of pocket. Don't make the same mistake as I made. This company is JUNK!! ------------------------- DO NOT sign a contract with this company unless you are ok with sub-standard work on your roof! This company represented me in a roof damage claim to my insurance provider. After approval of the claim, Homestate offered to put cheap IKO shingles on my roof, with no warranty on their work. When I asked for warranty, I was told that they do not offer it and I can buy it separately for additional price. For lesser cost than Homestate, I have other roofing companies who are certified (through roofing manufacturers) and gave me quotes for roof replacement with much better materials like GAF, Malarkey etc. They are backing their work with 10 years of labor warranty. Since Homestate wasn't willing to stand behind their work, I asked them to take their 10% adjusters fee and let me use a different roofing contractor for the work. They have since withheld endorsement of my insurance checks for 6+ months now. They say I should pay them first through Certified Checks and then they will endorse my insurance checks. I have offered them regular bank check but they refuse to take it. They also refuse to take their name off the claim and I fear that they will keep adding more to the insurance claim to make money, which could result in insurance company dropping my policy and me as a customer. My recommendation would be to stay away from Homestate and find yourself a proper roofing company that is not a storm chaser!

The result is, water has been slowly dripping into my living room wall and everything is completely rotted behind the drywall. I would have never known unless I noticed a little discrepancy in the paint sheen around our crown molding. At the time, Homestate was doing several roofs in my subdivision. I have let all of my neighbors know to check their roofs. If they left our roof like this, I am sure there are others. We initially had red flags (they filed the initial claim 3 times incorrectly and our insurance company that we never had a claim with, dropped us). I could have been understanding but the way they handled the situation after I informed them is the worst business interaction I have ever had. I offered to send them all of the estimates and give them the contractor numbers so that they could verify that everyone is saying it was their poor workmanship that caused this. The owners response was, I will send someone out to look at it if you pay me $250. I have $8,000 worth of damage and endless pictures from before they did the roof. He eventually said he would come out and replace the piece of roof that HE damaged but nothing else.

We had our roof replaced by matrix last month (july 22) and I have recommended them to friends…read morealready. I wanted to post a review as well, as the others here were helpful in our decision to work with matrix. Tracy was helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. She approached me while working on my yard in 2021 and inquired about damage from a recent storm. She worked closely with the adjuster from my insurance, and they advised me that at the time, there was not significant enough damage to recommend filing a claim. Fast forward a year, and Tracy reached out to me after our neighborhood had experienced hail storms. They went through the same process, recommended filing a claim this time, and it was immediately approved. I then met with David who explained the plan they put together thoroughly, patiently answered all of our questions, and had the work scheduled for 2 days later. David was immediately responsive whenever I reached out with questions or requests. Their team (and process) is a well oiled machine... I went to work with my old roof on, came home ten hours later to a brand new one, job complete, with no damage, no trouble, and everything cleaned up thoroughly. I was skeptical at the start, and at times throughout the process, as it seemed a bit too good to be true. I was expecting a catch somewhere along the way, but after reading many reviews, and feeling very comfortable working with Tracy, I decided to move forward with the process. I'm very glad I did, as matrix delivered on everything promised, while being prompt, professional and kind. David even arranged for a crew to come back after the fact to add an additional vent I didn't realize was needed at the time of install, free of charge.

I did not hear from him Thursday and Friday. I emailed him on Saturday. He said "Sorry, I forgot. I will try to get you the paperwork." I texted him Monday afternoon. He said he was "at the dentist and would call me when he was done." He never called. I emailed him Tuesday morning and advised if I did not hear from him I would get another company. He called me Tuesday afternoon and said he "was in Mexico." He has family issues and won't be working the rest of the year. He said it was okay if I went with another company. So I did. I was shocked that Matrix works this way. No referrals from me. Quite disappointed.

They busted their tails when working with my solar company to get my panels removed so they could replace my roof. This team did an amazing job with coordinating, staying on top of everything and their crew to install the roof were very fast!!! They put plastic down and were very careful with our belongings outside. The crew cleaned up everything very well and communicated when they were done so I could shut my garage. I can't thank Frontline Roofing enough for all they have done. This company has gone above and beyond in so many ways!!! I will always refer Frontline! Thank you!
