I was shopping at Greenland Market (beechdaly) on a Sunday morning. The boy at the checkout charged…read moreme $4.39 for bulk bulghur when I did not even purchase bulghur. I told him I did not buy any bulghur, only masri rice and bulk chick peas listed at 0.49c/lb. The owner heard me and rushed over. The chick peas are not 49 cents he stated. "That was a sale and the sale ended yesterday." I said well if the sale ended, then remove the sign that says 49cents/lb. He answers "Ma Bady" meaning I don't want to. Instead of being worried that his cashier was charging me an additional $3 that he may be pocketing, he is arguing over a few cents in the cost of the chick peas. This owner needs a lesson in customer service.

Extremely poor customer service on multiple fronts today…read more 1. Meat Counter: Waited patiently to be served, but the staff member skipped me twice to take orders from customers who arrived after me. Only acknowledged when I spoke up. 2. Cashier: Rude and dismissive. When I requested a double-bagged watermelon, she tossed the second bag at me. When I politely asked if she could open it (as my hands were full), her response was "you've got two hands." Unacceptable. 3. Management: Requested a manager due to the cashier's behavior. The cashier initially just pointed vaguely "back there" and refused to assist further. Only when I held my ground and the line backed up did she claim to check, returning to say no manager or supervisor was available. This indicates a systemic lack of accountability. Overall: Rude staff, ignored customers, and zero management presence or willingness to address serious issues.

Lots of variety here but since the new owners came in they don't stock the essentials. Great when…read moreyou're in a rush but please always check the expiration date on products. The meat counter used to have the freshest meat with the best cuts. The same butcher is there, he's awesome but I think the new owners are skimping on quality. The hours of operation are a lot better but I wish the owners did some research and had better options in stock and went back to the same meat chicken distributor as the previous owners. Used to be a place where you find all ethnicities shopping here but now it's just locals for the convenience. Would be great if new owners stepped it up a bit. It's a hassle driving 15 minutes but sometimes it's essential bc I don't want to run the risk of stopping here and walking out without bread, eggs, meat and Arabic grocery staples.

I haven't shopped here in over a year, and I thought I could just run in and pick up a few things…read more I was here nearly an hour, but not because I had a hard time finding things. I was blown away to find that nothing has changed. Think about that: COVID broke the world, but Super Greenland held the line on prices, while still offering fantastic variety and quality. You can still get a bag of 8 of the freshest pitas you've ever eaten for $1.49: they're so fresh the bag still has steam in it. The baba ganoush is smoky and freshly made for only $3.49 a pound. Other deli offerings are similarly priced, and high quality. I'm not exaggerating when I say they have hundreds of spices and seasonings. I don't think twice about spending $4 for 1 ounce of cinnamon sticks at the supermarket; here, $4 gets you 6 ounces of cinnamon sticks. They have an entire aisle devoted to pickled things here. If it can be pickled, they have it here. And, do I have to tell you how much cheaper it is here than anywhere else? Oh, and do you like baklava? Of course you do. The variety of that alone is also impressive. I sometimes forget that this is also a regular grocery store. The produce is high quality, and nicely priced. With all the phenomenal middle eastern things here, I'm strangely disappointed that they also have boring things like Froot Loops, Ragu pasta sauce, and other mundane things. It's sort of like the opposite of the "international aisle" at a normal supermarket. I gave Super Greenland a great review before, but I actually think I sold them short.
