Excellent! I really appreciate this farm to table meat market and grill…read more I have done carry out orders and loved the meat shawarma, chicken shawarma, and falafel sandwiches. Very flavorful! I finally took the time to dine here for dinner. I brought my extended family to try it and they have become fans now too. They have a nice size dining area in the back, with small and large wooden tables, and nice lighting. We started with a small order of the hummus with beef tips and veggies. We devoured that and wish we had gotten a large order. The hummus was delicious on its own, and then adding the tender beef tips was such a wonderful bonus. My family loves steak so we ordered the New York, filet mignon, ribeye, and lamb chops. Generous portions and you can tell this is high quality meat. They really pride themselves on the quality of their meat and I can see why. The fries are seasoned really well too. We also enjoyed the chicken gallaba, which has a nice spicy kick to it, served with rice. The lentil soup is very tasty too. I ordered the very berry lemonade and was delighted by the fun lightbulb glass it was served in, and you get to keep it. Yay! I love a fun memento. Hot tea is available and I love when tea is served in a glass mug. The manger, Johnny, took excellent care of us all evening, and was very attentive and made helpful recommendations. He even surprised me with a delicious brownie dessert, in honor of my birthday. Everyone is very kind and welcoming here. It has a great vibe. They have their own parking lot so coming here is easy. I highly recommended coming here!

Everything was delicious - even the self-proclaimed falafel "snob"was impressed by the moist falafel!

Their meat especially is top quality. There is no better meat market around. What really sets them apart however is their customer service. From the moment I walk in, I'm always greeted by the cashiers. And the butchers will answer 1000 questions to make sure the customer is satisfied. They just go above & beyond and you can tell they really care about the customer's experience, as well as the quality of their meat/products. I really appreciate excellent customer service when I see it, and that's definitely what you will receive here! I merely mentioned to my guy with the blue eyes that I was going to put my meat on skewers - he went ahead & did it for me without even mentioning it. I didn't realize it until later. That's real.

The macaroni was homemade, and candid yams had good flavor. Wasn't expensive at all and good portions. Will return.

So I checked YELP for recommendations and discovered Joyview Meat Market, and I'm glad I did. The first thing that hit me when I walked in the door was the smell of burning wood. It gave the place the feeling of being in a lodge with a cozy fire. Since it was Christmas Eve, the place was busy, but there was plenty of staff on hand to move things along. Everyone was happy and pleasant. Maybe it was the season, but I'm sure a good part of it was meeting and greeting loyal customers. Many of the people I met had been coming to Joyview for years. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Greg. I told him I was a new customer, and we ended up talking shop for quite some time. He's very proud of being part of four generations of butchers and owning and operating his fine shop. The market had a wide variety of meats on display. Everything seemed very high quality. I was pleasantly surprised to see Srodek's pierogi in the refrigerated case since my family loves them. Oh, and if you're looking for great smoked kielbasa, Joyview makes their own kielbasa (fresh and smoked), and it's wonderful. So, back to the Prime Rib, the star of our Christmas Day dinner. It was fabulous - so juicy and tender. It just melted in our mouths. Everyone raved about it so much that we have decided to make Joyview Meat Market our only destination for high quality meat. Check them out and don't forget to say "hi" to Greg. He's a super nice guy.

Only one red flag That I notice, was that some of the workers handle fresh raw meat with their hand. The wayne County health apartment implements that you need to do these requirements. And cross-contamination is a big issue and very prevalent and frequent among meat processors and butchers. The falafel was different from the usual falafel you get elsewhere, It was much softer and had such a delicious, moist texture, now.... they cook the best lentil soup I've ever had in my life!! French fries were cooked perfectly. The chicken breast was also really GOOD!! My husband ordered a full portion of chicken, and he was blown away by how flavorful and tender it was.
