The store is laid out wonderfully. It's worth an hour and a half drive to go shopping there.

It's small but has so many great items in it. We go to Tuhama's down the block as often as possible…read moreand popped in here one day to get drinks. We ended up getting a lot more - imported candies, pomegranate molasses, and some very interesting pomegrante & strawberry drinks that have basil in them which basically turn into almost like miniature boba and are now my favorite drink. They've unfortunately been having trouble getting them with COVID shortages and shipping increases but I hope my fav drink will be back soon. Until then, every time I go to check, I find something new to get and now that I've gotten my faculty hooked on the little hard coffee candies and they've run out, have an excuse to go back ;)

OMG What a little gold mine this place is…read more Since the weather is being normal for Michigan, and while having nothing better to do than ride my bike, I decided to follow the advice of Horace Greeley, as in Go West not so young man. So I pointed my bicycle in the direction of Dearborn and rode not all hell bent for leather, but at a nice pace of about 15 mph. I had been passing this funny little building with Arabic script on it, and decided today was the day I stopped. I was blown away. it's not the biggest place on the planet, but they make good use of the room they have. I found sweets that made me drool like Homer Simpson does over a doughnut. Things like date filled pastries, and assorted goodies with names I cannot even begin to pronounce. The meat case is well ordered, and although there are no signs indicating what it there, there is a staff of butchers on duty to guide you through the maze. Most if not all the produce is marked with signs in Arabic. If you don't know what it is, just ask and they will be happy to help. There are things from all over the Middle East like cookies from Turkey, and cheese from Bahrain, and Lebanon. I made a mental note to return when I was more fluid. I also found many varieties of tea from Sri Lanka with Arabic script on the boxes. The prices are a tad high but you're going to find everything you're looking for. Just make sure it's not chili night because they dont carry it. However, if it's from the Middle East chances are good you're going to find it. One bad part and for this, I'm not going to deduct anything. There is no place to lock your bike, but there are handy light poles near the street if your lock chain is long enough.

Wild Wednesday a 20 year special with prices 50 percent off, a mega Deal thousands shop each week…read more This the main location of five stores, corner of West Warren n Miller East Dearborn. I haven't shopped here in over a year, and I thought I could just run in and pick up a few things…read more I was here nearly an hour, but not because I had a hard time finding things. I was blown away to find that nothing has changed. Think about that: COVID broke the world, but Super Greenland held the line on prices, while still offering fantastic variety and quality. You can still get a bag of 8 of the freshest pitas you've ever eaten for $1.49: they're so fresh the bag still has steam in it. The baba ganoush is smoky and freshly made for only $3.49 a pound. Other deli offerings are similarly priced, and high quality. I'm not exaggerating when I say they have hundreds of spices and seasonings. I don't think twice about spending $4 for 1 ounce of cinnamon sticks at the supermarket; here, $4 gets you 6 ounces of cinnamon sticks. They have an entire aisle devoted to pickled things here. If it can be pickled, they have it here. And, do I have to tell you how much cheaper it is here than anywhere else? Oh, and do you like baklava? Of course you do. The variety of that alone is also impressive. I sometimes forget that this is also a regular grocery store. The produce is high quality, and nicely priced. With all the phenomenal middle eastern things here, I'm strangely disappointed that they also have boring things like Froot Loops, Ragu pasta sauce, and other mundane things. It's sort of like the opposite of the "international aisle" at a normal supermarket. I gave Super Greenland a great review before, but I actually think I sold them short.

I told him I did not buy any bulghur, only masri rice and bulk chick peas listed at 0.49c/lb. The owner heard me and rushed over. The chick peas are not 49 cents he stated. "That was a sale and the sale ended yesterday." I said well if the sale ended, then remove the sign that says 49cents/lb. He answers "Ma Bady" meaning I don't want to. Instead of being worried that his cashier was charging me an additional $3 that he may be pocketing, he is arguing over a few cents in the cost of the chick peas. This owner needs a lesson in customer service.
