This place definitely has everything you need when it comes to Middle Eastern items. It's basically a Meijer for Middle Easterners... minus the clothing. I mean, they do have a clothing section, but it's pretty small and mostly geared toward women. The one thing I wish they'd improve is the quality of their fresh produce. I like this grocery shop. Great seasonings, spices, chocolates and fresh produce. I was impressed with the nice produce and wide variety of seasonings. The prices were higher than what I'm used to in my town, but it wasn't bad. They had a really nice selection of fruits and veggies and gourmet food selections, too. This is more of the DELI review.. I come here often for lunch and sometimes grab bulk cooked food to take home.. Truly fresh and economical. Being a vegetarian, this is ideal, they have very good vegetarian options, starting from falafel ( made fresh In front of you.), hummus, magmour, etc etc. all tastes super.. Very clean and organized place. Glad it's very close to my house. Parking lot is huge. They have so many things, a meat market, hot meals with an area to sit, a little Tim Hortons stand inside, a pharmacy, a little mobile phone area at the front of the store, this is basically your one stop shop(minus some things.) When I stop by the meat section, there is always someone to make sure I'm getting helped. However, this is not the same for when I need to pick up a prepared food like hummus or such. I waited underneath the sign that said to place order there, and waited, and waited, and people kept walking back and forth watching me watch them. After waiting for over 5 minutes(there wasn't any line or anyone else waiting) I decided to just leave and finish at the registers. I love coming here but I was disappointed. Someone came after I had already waited for over 5 minutes and didn't even wait in the right spot and still got helped. The people working saw me waiting and didn't even acknowledge it. Everybody does everything. Nothing here is over the top great but all fairly good across the board. The best part about Dearborn Fresh is the hot food section. For $10 you can eat like a king. A friend had recommended that we come here to buy Halal meats. I was impressed by the selection. They have a TV monitor that displays all the meat products they carry, so don't be alarmed if you don't see what you want in the coolers or behind the glass. I was reading online that Halal meats aren't raised with any growth hormones, so I wanted to try this unadulterated meat! I have eaten chicken breasts and lamb loin chops so far, and they were pretty tasty. They have a bakery and cooked foods section. I tried one of their pizzas. I think the pizza dough is pita or some flat bread, but I am not sure. I got the one with cheese and broccoli. I liked that one. It was only $1.75 - would recommend. Also, this place has the fancy Loacker wafers that I really liked. CHOCOLATE COCONUT. I had never tried that one before, but it was amazing, to say the least. read more

This is a a pretty big grocery store, but not excessively large that you wish your cart could drive itself and gave you a ride. Staff are friendly. This is a place where you can get groceries and a bite for lunch. It has produce, a Middle Eastern deli counter, bakery, butcher, frozen foods, canned goods, etc... They are a medium sized grocery store which has a mix of the usual grocery items and items specifically from the Middle East. The only downside for me personally was that the burning incense was a bit overpowering for me. I'm sure that some people enjoyed it, but I have allergies to smoke. I must say that the cakes in the bakery were stunning. Their decorator has some talent. They have some of the largest bell peppers that I have seen in a grocery produce section in a while. And the grapes...wow...they were almost the size of plums. As I said, they have a small cafe/ deli counter in the place with a sit down restaurant area to eat your food. So, it is a good place to grab a bite to eat when you are out grocery shopping. Their small personal pizzas have a really nice fluffy bread for the crust. But for a real treat, try the awamat which are Lebanese doughnuts which have been soaked in a syrup which tastes like cinnamon and honey. They are not quite as light and fluffy as the doughnuts which my grandmother used to make and soak in a rosewater syrup, but they are quite good and decadent in their own way. If you are someone who likes to dunk your doughnuts into your coffee, you might not need sweetener in your coffee with these doughnuts. I really love their bakery. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and even though there was a lot there I didn't know what it was Google helped me out. The veggie section they have has super fresh items and way cheaper than the chain grocery stores. I cook a lot of middle eastern themed dishes so now I know where to go to get my items easily. Oh and they have Whole Watermelon with seeds I need my watermelon with the seeds! I was not expecting to find Ox Tails there but they had them and they where about 6.00 cheaper than I'm used to paying. They have a bulk food area for spices you bag your own and there is an older guy there who will weigh it and tag it for you. From what I saw the meat section isn't huge but it's enough and they have pretty whole chickens there kinda sexy chickens I should have gotten one. Then there is the bakery omg such beautiful stuff there I didn't get anything though. Next was the area the sell hot foods they also have a eating area for people to sit and eat, not sure why I didn't take pictures probably my mind was too much on should I get a Shwarma or not but I didn't get one. They had lots of people in there the lunch crowd. I have to definitely go back because they had a bunch of interesting soda flavors like Kiwi and the Ginger Beer and with Pineapple. This place has everything, it was a recommendation and by far the best grocery store in the area. Dearborn Fresh has everything u could every need, from Halal meat to general groceries. The have a Time Horton's coffee in house to a bakery and a place to sit down eat. They are open till 11.00pm at night very continent. Absolutely love grocery shopping here. Place is very organized and clean clean clean. Fresh produce everyday, meat section and deli area. Also coffees, nuts, and sweets sections inside the store. AND a sushi bar, and Tim hortons. One stop shop for everything. Fast lines, and almost forgot...a pharmacy. All under one roof, score! Dearborn Fresh is all right and they have a wonderful and extensive tea selection. I go primarily because they're the only local business I know of that still stocks the Melitta #6 coffee filters. I could buy them online but I would much rather give my custom to a local merchant. I still prefer Greenland stores. I've never left a review before on yelp but everyone should be warned about the cell phone repair in there. I had a destroyed iPhone 6s Plus screen that was completely functional but was chipping out. I heard this place is cheaper (because they don't use real iPhone screens) and I'm about to go on vacation. So spent $110 on a new screen only to realize when I got home the typing is completely jacked up now. All the sensors are off or something on my keyboard because it is typing jibberish. So I went back (even though they say no warranty) and they replaced it again. ONLY PROBLEM IS IT DIDNT STOP WORKING LIKE CRAP. Also my home button Is loose now. Guy basically told me there is nothing he can do and he'll put my old screen on which is pointless bc they obviously damaged my phone putting the screen on. Other people I know haven't had problems here, but you've been warned. Cough up the $200 instead of having to type a glacier speed for the rest of your contract. read more

Visited this market today to buy the Pureau water that was on sale 3 for 6.00. I found out when I got there I had to spend an additional 10 dollars to get the sale price, no problem. I decided to buy lunch at the deli and since I saw many Arabic people ahead of me buy deli and grocery items at the same register I knew I would not have to stand in another line. I was wrong. When I got to the register, a non-Arabic, I was told I could not pay for MY groceries there that their cash system was different and I would have to go to another register. THIS IS DISCRIMINATION. Supermarket offering the typical grocery items as well as Middle Eastern and Mediterranean specialties. Produce is pretty good and the prices are unbeatable right now as they are trying to compete with all of the other local markets. There is a florist shop, meat market, hot deli and even a Tim Horton's express inside. My favorite thing about this place is that Hachem's coffee and nuts is located inside (see review for the mother shop here on Yelp) they have a huge variety of candy, mixed nuts, fresh coffee, roasted coffee beans, it goes on and on. Also, anyone familiar with Sweet Dreams will appreciate their dessert counter also located inside. The deli is pretty good, with a variety of ethnic as well as comfort foods, including some pretty tasty looking rotisserie chicken (havent tried it yet) and a sushi bar which looks interesting though I generally steer clear of grocery store sushi. There are plenty of cheese and deli meats to choose from as well as salad and dips. There is a little cafeteria like area to eat in too. They are still relatively new and they are working out a few kinks, service at the deli isnt always the quickest hence the 4 stars. My favorite part of it all is still Hachem's. read more
