A sign on terminals indicates that the card readers are slow, but it wasn't that noticeable. Due to COVID-19 occupancy in the stote is limited. The store is requiring masks for employees and customers. Patrons must knock on the inside door to be let in. A parking lot is shared with a neighboring business. It provides ample parking for both businesses.

Fresh food offerings--excellent. There is a sushi bar and a fresh sandwich/pizza area, along with the usual deli, that provide excellent options for a quick meal, eat in or take away. The seating area is large and clean. The bakery is also strong, and I had a Panera-like cinnamon crunch bagel that was very tasty. If one of your party gets sick or hurt, there is a clinic in the store that seemed very inviting. It would definitely save a ton of hassle to go there rather than trying to find a doctor! With the fresh food, grocery, and bulk food options, easy to stock up on things, and they also have a large clothing section. Strangely, it did not feature much touristy beach wear and the like and seemed to cater to locals more than visitors. But, if you left something at home and need a shirt, etc, this would be a great place to obtain one while not slowing down the family expedition. Please consider sharing your findings with the BBB, Ohio Weights & Measures, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Ohio Attorney General. Kroger, as a near monopoly, has a duty and obligation to provide honest and fair pricing practices. They are knowingly and willingly doing the opposite of this. The burden of having to audit receipts, to this degree, should NOT be required on there consumers part. This issue is well known and has even been brought to light by investigative reporting from Consumer Reports in conjunction with The Fern.

So I went this route for an anniversary cake with the message "Happy Anniversary." When I went to pick up the cake the folks in the bakery went ABOVE and BEYOND the standard call of duty, detailing the cake with several rosettes and green vines! They saw the message and took it upon themselves to make it special. And when they smudged some of the frosting when packaging the cake, they both re-frosted it and gave me a discount for any possible remaining smudges. I won't go anywhere else for cakes. Great price. Moist and delicious. Great service. You can't beat it.

That being said, I plan to buy some chicken breast, legs and wings the next time I shop here as they have an amazing selection of poultry. I visited this Giant Eagle a few times over the years while en route to boating in Vermilion…read more Visiting during a pandemic is especially strange, but I just wanted to take a moment to give a shoutout to this Giant Eagle, even if its a short review. I felt like this store was truly taking safety precautions seriously. The aisles were appropriately marked in one way directions, the staff all had masks on, and I saw employees regularly sanitizing high-touch areas. At check-out they also had plexiglass between you and the cashier. They had an ample amount of registers open, even though it was a not busy time, and I was able to get in and out quickly. We were visiting from out of town, and I needed to be back in my town about 60 miles away for a meeting first thing in the morning. A friend helped me pump up the tire and I took it to the Wal-Mart store in Port Clinton. Even though it was after 5 pm , the counter representative got a quick consult from the guys in the back, and said they could do a repair before the department closed at 7 (it was a Saturday). The counter man was polite, thorough, showed concern for my situation, and provided detail on what the mechanic said. Also described the repair and gave an estimate. I received updates on the status of my repair by text. Just before seven we returned to the store, the tire was fixed, and the whole job cost me just 16 bucks. Again, the counter man was friendly and courteous, thanked us for letting Wal Mart help, and send us along. The whole experience was outstanding. Props to the great mechanic and customer interface.
