I asked a team member whose name I didn't get but she clearly wasn't interested in helping. I asked if there were any other areas for the reader glasses. She says no that's all there is. Oh well, I go check out. On the way out, I pass the eye center. I ask if they have any of the equate brand readers there. Linda was so sweet and said. No, but if there weren't any in front of the pharmacy, you can go around the corner by the wall and there are readers on the end cap. Kroger, as a near monopoly, has a duty and obligation to provide honest and fair pricing practices. They are knowingly and willingly doing the opposite of this. The burden of having to audit receipts, to this degree, should NOT be required on there consumers part. They also have paper goods like toilet paper. If you want some local flare they sell some souvenirs and local products. They have a limited amount of fishing supplies and worms in a small fridge. Hot coffee and donuts are available in the morning as well as slushies and a soft serve ice cream machine. On the other side of the store is a small restaurant that serves pizza, salads and sandwiches. We had pizza and it was actually really good and they even had a gluten free cauliflower pizza option which I was grateful for. Fair warning, the prices are a little inflated but I supposed you can get away with that when you're the only game in town.
