There's also a good selection of books on CD for car trips and all sorts of other media formats but it's also a comfortable place to get some work or day dreaming done. If their dedicated parking lot fills up it's still easy to park within walking distance but the location is easy for Southsiders to bike to and its well served by public bus. Architecturally it's an interesting round 1960s era building, and of course libraries make one a more well rounded individual.

They have faxing, scanning and copying available. The workers are very helpful which makes things…read morego so much easier. This is a nice neighborhood library which offers classes on computers and even has lectures that include Women Empowerment and Water conservation. There isn't a lot of parking in the lot but there is street parking. I like that they have laced a bit on the SUPER HUSH HUSH of golden days. There's books, of course, but there's also fun stuff for kids to climb on, color, and snuggle with. I agree that the creepy painter statue at the front entrance needs to go, but overall I have no real complaints about this library. There are a lot of book and media options and the librarians are friendly and helpful. Aside from my kid (who has difficulty using his 'inside voice'), I've never known it to be a noisy place. Rather, it's a cozy nook in quiet downtown Greendale that's worth a visit ... or five.

There are so many different things to try. And, they have a Creative room where people can use shared craft supplies, legos, STEM toys, etc. For the sewing class, I do have to bring my own machine, but I see the shelves have rubber stamp and crochet materials; I'm sure there is more but I haven't really taken the time to look through them. It makes me jealous that my local town's library doesn't have nearly as many offerings! I'm really grateful for this library, their inclusiveness, and the plethora of recreational activities they provide for the community.

For those who are looking for diversion and entertainment, a work of fiction, a newspaper, a magazine, maybe movies or compact discs are available. The have an excellent selection of analog assets. For those interested in being well informed, as of now, this is also a fabulous resource of non-fiction tomes. You can get information on nearly any topic. If you use some common sense and discretion selecting a resource it may be filled with thoughtfully considered and often actual factually backed evidence. The thing might even offer a depth of information to build real understanding and vision of a topic beyond click-bait and trigger memes. They have a hold system so if you know what you want you can just wait for them to pull it and run in for it without browsing. Additionally, there is a drive up drop off making the whole process painless. You can even get the smart phone app and use your card to check out audio and e-books, videos and other materials without even leaving your sofa. If you haven't been in a while or don't have a card, you owe it to yourself to check this place out!

But obviously not all public libraries are the same. I've been meaning to visit this library since I moved to Milwauke, but I never made it happen. So, I was delighted that the Tosa Library was very close to my last errand of the day which happened to be in Wauwatosa. Such a lovely, sunlit space with creative and quirky art that refected this community. I roamed the teen, children's, and adult sections and was delighted to encounter helpful staff in each section. The rooms are especially helpful on the rather busy days when the library isn't always so quiet. The children's area is great! There's always crafts to do and mini scavenger hunts that get changed about twice a month. Also seasonal reading challenges that get kids excited to read and win prizes. They also have legos, a train set, and a play grocery store. It's definitely worth a visit for any ages!
