Greenberg Laser Eye Center is my new favorite office for eye care. The wait time was average as they were slightly busy I do understand. However, the hospitality and service was outstanding. I had a great time with my girl Vicki (office administrator I believe) as they led me in the right direction with my new glasses. The doctor confirmed my diagnosis and hooked me up swiftly with a pretty reasonable price for their services and products. I will be seeing them for my 3rd check up soon. read more

After 6 weeks from treatment I was notified that my insurance is not paying because she did not get PA before she started treatment I was told if I want to continue tx it will be out of my pocket In addition her tech put local anaesthesia on inner corner of my eye and the injection was done on outer corner next day my eye was red and swollen for three DAYS ALSO SHE SUPPOSED TO GET PHOTO OF RETINA PRIOR TO SECOND INJECTION TO SEE IF FIRST Injection did help or not but she went and did injection without any documentation showing that injection is helping read more

I waited for this appointment for about 2 months. The office staff, the technician, and the doctor were great, hospitable, kind, and friendly. I found the doctor from the BlueCare Network website. I called to make sure they accepted my insurance, and according to the insurance website, Dr. Greenberg is within their network. I had my primary care physician send in a global referral to satisfy the insurance requirement. I was made to sign a document with lots of information and numbers. When I started trying to understand it and asked what all that meant, the receptionist told me that it was all related to insurance and all I was going to pay was the copayment. She was very nice. Everything went fine until it was time for payment. The lady asked me to pay $251.88, it was $210.88 more than what I was supposed to pay. I made the payment because the lady said I had a deductible which I hadn't met. Then I realized that I had been to a variety of specialists before for myself and my children, neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, ophthalmologists, etc., using the same insurance plan but never had to pay more than the copayment. The lady was rude and was raising her voice in front of other people. I was told that their billing dept. would call me. I left and called the insurance company and they told me that I shouldn't have been charged more than the copay. I went back to get a copy of the paper I was made to sign and requested to cancel all later appointments. I showed up prior to my appointment to follow their new safety protocol and waited in my car. I called a front desk to answer their questions. She told me that the room wasn't clean. I waited 30 mins in my car and decided to leave. After 35 mins from my appointment time, a technician called me to tell me the room was still not ready. If I am late 30 mins to my appointment, I will have to make another appointment and pay their cancellation fee. What a big joke. The original Dr. Greenberg (Father) treated patients better. I underwent LASIK eye surgery in July of 2021 through Dr. Dana Greenberg. Thankfully, after the surgery I had and still have 20/20 vision, which has been wonderful! Throughout the time of encountering her and her staff, they were both very kind and polite. But many issues have arisen due to the surgery. I have been diagnosed with "dry eye syndrome" which has really taken a toll on me because my eyes are no longer producing the proper lubrication. I am almost always experiencing constant dryness, burning and irritation. Unfortunately, I learned that this is a common result of LASIK and what makes me sad, and it is the main reason for writing this review, is that I was never verbally warned about this prior to the surgery and received so little care after it occured. During the consultation at the office before scheduling the actual surgery, I was only told the success rate of receiving 20/20 vision but nothing about the side effects (even though my patient chart said that I was on that day). The very day of the surgery, only through paperwork (which always states so many other things in general), is the only way that I was informed of the risks which shows no compassion whatsoever. After watching videos regarding people who are going through the same thing as I am, their surgeons verbally told them during consultations before the actual day of surgery that there is a risk of this happening. After seeing Dr. Greenberg when my symptoms became severe, she said that I had dry-eye syndrome and wrote a prescription for Cequa/Xiidra and told me to come back in three months to see how everything is. I decided to visit another doctor and was told that my eyes were inflamed. Right away, they gave me steroid eye drops and after the inflammation went down, punctal plugs were put in. It is disappointing that I received so much more care from them than with Dr. Greenberg. I can't imagine how much more agony I would be going through if I didn't see this other doctor. Even after all of this, my eyes are continuously feeling burning, dry, and irritated and there is nothing I can do about it. I have probably spent over $1000 on all the things needed in order to receive only temporary relief. I wrote a review a few months after surgery because of these same symptoms and was asked to take it down so people don't see what I am going through. But I am only writing this review again in order to help others to not make the same mistake I did because I would never want someone to go through what I am currently going through. Again, the overall disappointment is that I was never verbally told during the consultation or on the very day of surgery this is a risk of LASIK even though dry eye syndrome occurs very often, and also that I received so much more care from another eye doctor after these issues arose. This is not to show any hatred toward Dr. Greenberg and her staff whatsoever. If I had been verbally warned about this risk prior to surgery as well as received more care after this all occurred, then I would not be frustrated with them and this review would not be here. I would never want anybody to currently go through what I am going through. Although Dr. Greenberg and her staff are very kind, I definitely recommend making sure to see another doctor before undergoing surgery to ensure it is safe. read more

I was the first appointment of the day, and yet it took an hour and half for me to be seen by a doctor. When she finally came in the room you could tell she was rushing which is never a good feeling to get when you have a health concern. They also billed me incorrectly so overall I would definitely say go elsewhere. read more

I went to Greenberg because I needed a same day appointment and they were the only ones with availability. I wish that I would have read the other review before I went because this place is way too expensive, plain and simple! Assuming you don't have major vision problems and just need an annual exam with a renewed prescription, there are much more affordable places than this place! On a plus, everyone was friendly and nice. The office itself was also nice and they use good equipment. As an aside, the doctor I saw also diagnosed me with something I had never been diagnosed with before and she said she was surprised that I was never diagnosed before because the condition usually develops during adolescense. She told me we would need to watch it carefully and I should come in for regular check-ups. I have not gone in for a second opinion anywhere else. I've been wearing contact/glasses for over 15 years and see an eye doctor regularly; no one has ever diagnosed me with the condition prior to this place so I don't know if she is a cut above the rest or just the opposite. read more

After seeing all the poor reviews I feel compelled to write a counter point as the Greenberg's have been my doctors for over 25 years. I have never had any issues with them and they have always been there for me. I have referred other friends of mine that share similar positive feelings. read more

The doctor and his daughter that run this clinic diagnosed me with "closed anglel glocoma" several years ago, and recommended doing lazik surgery to correct it. I got a second opinion from my old eye doctor, and I had NO SIGNS of closed angle glocoma. They also sold me two pair of contact lenses that were cheaper plastic, not Bausch and Lombs, and I was allergic to them, and was told that I was TOO OLD to wear contacts. I took them to court for small claims and won. I was in my 40's. These guys only want to make a buck, two mistakes on one person. I was hoping by now they were out of business, and not cutting on people who didnt need it by misdiagnosing problems that werent there, but I was wrong. BUYER BEWARE !! read more

The billing department in this office is a mess! After receiving repeated bills for a balance I had already paid and making many phone calls to them they finally located proof of the payment I had made months ago and recorded it. Over a year later I received yet an additional bill on my previously settled account when no new services had been offered (I definitely wasn't going back to them again)! Save yourself time and hassle and go somewhere else -- it's not worth the hours of follow up required to make up for their sloppy paperwork and drive to continue billing. read more

I would absolutely NOT recommend Greenberg Laser Eye Center. For the past 2 years I have gone for my annual eye examination, I have been charged an additional $139. Due to me mentioning that I have seasonal allergies, I was told that they are required to bill me $139 because they have to note it. I am well aware that I have allergies... I don't need to be billed for something that I am already well aware of and am treated for through my general doctor. During my examination I mentioned that last year I was billed for this and did not want to have the same occurrence again. Here I am again paying another $139 out of pocket. I was also told when calling about this for the second year in a row that I did receive sample eye drops and that was another reason. I can do without the 10 drop sample and pay the $3-4 on my own, especially being that it is over the counter and I am already being treated for this through my general doctor! Horrible experience on all levels. She performed a laser procedure that other doctors said wouldnt have worked due to the fluid in the eye. Serious problems if she saw the fluid or if she didnt see the fluid. I should have known better to have seen a doctor that also peddles cosmetic Botox. read more

My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Greenberg's office. We both have had cataract surgery by her and we are extremely happy with the results!!!!! We both are so much more comfortable driving at night and don't have to wear any glasses anymore which we didn't expect. Her and her staff is great! read more

I think the 1 star reviews speak for themselves... go somewhere else. I had to find a new Optometrist (my old one moved) and randomly decided to try Greenberg because they were one of the few places that accepted my insurance. I had validated with the staff that indeed, they accept my insurance and had to wait a full month to be seen. I made the appointment anyway and took the time off work. Unfortunately, when I got there, I was told they don't accept my insurance and they had a "note" written that I was aware of this and understood the out of pocket cost. No, no annnnnnnd no. I was never given this message. I would have cancelled the appointment and never would have taken the time to show. Apparently it's a miscommunication between their office and the insurance company (they are listed as Providers on the insurance website, but apparently this is wrong). Just go somewhere else... Front desk staff is incompetent. read more
