    I bought a $300 Puffco Proxy here (vape device) and when I got it home it would not take a charge…read moreand was clearly defective. I brought it back to the store 4 days later with my receipt looking for an exchange (not a refund) and despite a clearly stated return policy printed on their receipt, they guy behind the counter (who was rolling a joint when I walked in and seemed put out by the fact that there was a customer he had to interact with) pointed to a small, hand-written sign that says "all sales final" that was taped to the end of a counter knee-high where yo cant see it if youre standing at the register and refused to do anything more. So basically I spent $300 on a device that didn't work, and when I asked if I could exchange it for another one they told me I was shit out of luck, to go piss up a rope, or whatever other euphemism you can think of that essentially means "we got your money sucker and we don't care that we sold you a defective product". I've never been treated so dismissively, and I've also never written a yelp review, but this was so egregious that I want to make sure people are aware of their customer service policy (basically that it's nonexistent) and take their business elsewhere to a place that appreciates their customers.

I don't know what changed in the last year but they have zero selection with vape products. The value of customer service and the store as a whole is would give a negative review. I live five minutes from this store. I saw my friends starting to struggle to get a hold of certain products that they are told repeatedly that are coming in next shipment. The time comes and then are told yet again next shipment. Customer gets upset so the gentleman at the front desk with take down your information and say he'll be so kind to reach out when the product comes and he'll hold it just for you because that's how much he cares..... to then not do any of that. When people told me it was happening to them I didn't really believe it because I always got the products needed, that was until the beginning of 2024. Since this year something has changed so drastically with this store and the fact they don't value their customers anymore. It's sad because price wise is not bad compared to other stores. I called in today and said "hey this is my monthly/bi monthly check in. I haven't gotten a call again. Did you hold a pack of coils/tanks for me?" To be told that he reached out to me. I said I was never contacted by the shop. The number is saved in my phone, never have gotten a VM. I said please check what date you contacted me so I can look up on my end any incoming calls on that day. Time goes by with out saying anything and I am told that the computer wiped that day clean so he can't tell me because it's been "erased" . Really?! Save your time, save your sanity. This store will gaslight you and make you feel like they're wanting to service you when they could really care less. If anyone would like to know it's been almost 7 months since I bought anything from this store. No fault of my own, I would be happy to buy things needed from this store while waiting for my packages to arrive. Sometimes things happen & it would be great to be able to have a store that had what was need and great service. I ask for the owners name and contact information. My friend in the past (about 2023, end of the year) talked to him and told the owner exactly what I'm saying now. My friend eventually got her vape stuff but the cycle still repeats. I was given the Webster locations phone number to contact Matt. I would give that experience a negative review as well due to the fact online it says the stores open. However, you call and the phone just rings, no voicemail.... Rang for 2-3 min straight. So can't even get ahold of the owner either. Do better, this is the reason small businesses fail.

    GrowSmart in Randolph, MA is a total ripoff that preys on people that are new to growing and…read morehaven't done research about the products they are buying. They only care about making a buck, and don't respect their customers enough to tell them the truth. I went GrowSmart once before looking for Nectar for the Gods nutes, and I left without buying anything because the prices were outrageously high. About $10 more for each bottle than anywhere else. Today (because my go-to store is closed on Sunday), I made the mistake of giving them another shot. I called GrowSmart to see if they had what I needed and asked what the prices were. Unsurprisingly, they were each 6 dollars more than my normal store. I told myself that it's fine, I'll pay extra for the convenience of getting the products a day earlier. I arrived at the store and the person working there was in the middle of a sale. He told me to wait a second while he finished ringing it up. While I was waiting, I noticed another customer standing by the cash register. I asked him if he was new to growing and he said yes. I asked him if he had done research on the products he was buying and he said no. I glanced at the pile of stuff (a grow kit) that was on the counter by the register, and noticed that the salesperson was selling this new and naive customer obsolete technology, that is far from state of the art. I asked the salesperson how much the products were and he told me the price (which was outrageous for what it was). I then tried to tell the customer that he should do his research and that some of the products (the lights especially) were old technology that nobody uses anymore. I told him he should use LED lights which are much better for a variety of reasons. The salesperson overheard this conversation and was getting more and more antsy as I continued to talk. He interrupted me, saying that in order to get the lights I was talking about, the "start up costs are much higher, about $1000." I responded that that is not true, because I got mine for less than $200. The salesperson then asked what lights I use, and I told him, to which he responded that "those are bad lights." They are actually great lights that thousands of people use with great success, and I started showing the customer pictures of grows using the lights I was talking about. The salesperson knew he had been caught ripping off this naive customer and might lose the sale (rightly so). He became irate. He claimed that I was "making the other customers uncomfortable". (Well, they should be uncomfortable wasting money on obsolete technology that will need to be replaced immediately!) He then said, "I remember you, you came in the store once before and didn't buy anything!" Yes, I came in the store once before, and didn't buy anything because the prices were way higher than a store less than 2 miles down the street. This time, I was going to buy something even though I knew it was overpriced. He then said that I was disrespecting him in front of a customer and kicked me out of the store! So apparently in this store customers are not allowed to share opinions. Red flag #1. And, customers are not allowed to browse without buying. Red flag #2. When customers do share opinions that are different from a salespersons, they are kicked out of the store! Red flag #3. This way of operating is predatory and immoral. They might as well be physically stealing cash out of their customers' pockets. The worst part is that they know exactly what they are doing. It is not as if the salesperson didn't know the product was a poor choice for the customer. He knew, and was actively pushing it on him without telling him about other (cheaper and more efficient) options. This was obvious, because instead of responding to my comments with reasons why the product he was selling was a good choice, he simply kicked me out of the store so he could continue the ripoff. Any store that kicks out customers for telling other customers their opinion about what they are buying cannot be trusted. I will never be going back, and I suggest that anyone reading this go elsewhere. Between the prices and the salespeople, there is really no reason to shop here when there are better alternatives both in the local area and online. If I could give zero stars, I would.
